She'd been stuck in prison for roughly three weeks. Yes, those first three weeks had been rough indeed.
At least there was a library. Of course, her recreational hours were fairly limited, but she had to take what she could get. Even with the high risk of running into certain people there it was worth it, and the good lord knew she wasn't about to lift weights at the gym.
Jerva glanced around the space cautiously, spotting Edith and Delilah browsing in a corner together, as well as a few on-duty guards, but no one more. It wouldn't be until she'd situated herself at a table that she'd spot the absolute last person that she wanted to see, a crouching orange lump just barely visible in the spaces between the bookshelves.

There was no more wondering when it came to the subject of her trial, Jerva's suspicion that she'd named names had recently gone out the window. What she had done, apparently, was a load of drugs.
Jerva felt as though she ought to be remorseful or something to that effect, but the most persistent, overarching voice in her consciousness insisted that this wasn't her fault, that Johanna had in fact done this to herself, and all of the strange defensive looks she'd been dishing out from behind the rims of her glasses were completely unfounded.
But still, the entire affair was greatly distracting.
