Miranda was going stir crazy in the motel room and she needed air and a change of scenery. That was what had prompted her to leave the room and leave safety; she'd only walked down to the coffee shop on the corner of the street, head down and hood up. She'd been out of the room no more than ten minutes and when she returned it was to see NCIS breaking into her room.

She needed to get away from here and fast.

She saw the motel owner's car on the street and silently smashed the window before climbing in and hotwiring the car; in the side mirror she noticed that the one who hadn't broken into the room was now facing her and running to his own car. That made her put everything into gear and just drive.

She floored it and drove before slowing down to a sensible pace as to blend in, hoping that he hadn't got a good look at the vehicle she was in but when she saw him flooring his own car and overtaking to catch up with her, she decided to just speed away and pray that they didn't find her again. She was jeopardising everything.

The car slung in front of her and she knew she couldn't carry on without crashing into him or getting away from it all so she stopped and gave herself up; maybe it was better that way.

"I miss Miranda." Nick moaned, throwing a punch at the mitt on Thomas' hand. "Why do I have to train anyway if she's going to be there?" He threw another punch.

"You're sounding like a teenager Nicholas; it doesn't suit you." Nick rolled his eyes but carried on throwing punches. "And anyway, she got cornered by the police and assaulted two of them. We both know they take that as a serious offence and so they'll be gunning for her more than before. It'll be a miracle if she gets there at all."

"Miss Jones, I suggest you get that file to the boatshed immediately." Hetty said from behind the two analysts who had been watching the quick car chase on their computer screens. Nell looked over her shoulder and saw Hetty's grave face before putting everything together for herself and rushing off, barely remembering that the file was in her bag before she left without it.

"Hetty, what file?" Eric asked.

"Do not worry Mr Beale, everything will make sense soon enough."

"So your name is Miranda." Kurt commented, watching the blonde as she sat comfortably in the chair. "Tell me a bit about yourself that I don't know." She shot him a look before looking back at the table. "You look awfully comfy in that chair."

"Maybe I've sat in it before."

"Have you?" She just smiled at him before flicking her hair over her shoulder and leaning forward.

"Any chance I can get out of here before your friends come along and ruin everything?" He chuckled, shaking his head.

"Not a chance in hell." She sighed, leant back and covered her face again.

"Such a shame."

Kurt was outside the interrogation room when the others turned up. Both Sam and Callen looked annoyed whilst Deeks was stretching out his muscles and had a slight smirk on his face. "Sorry, we got caught in traffic." Deeks explained, sitting on the table to watch the blonde woman on the big screen.

"Yeah, and then Deeks decided it would be fun to sing Grease." Callen moaned ignoring the grin Deeks used. "She said anything?" Kurt shook his head. "Sam, Deeks, you're up."

They'd just disappeared into the room when Nell came sprinting into the building. "Don't talk to her yet. You need to read this file." She placed the file on the desk before registering that two of the team were missing. "Where is Sam and Deeks?"

"In with Miranda." Kurt answered.

"Oh hell." She murmured and when Callen gave her a confused look, she shoved the file into his hands where he flicked through the first few pages.

He shared the same sentiment. "Oh hell."

Miranda was picking at a loose thread on the bottom of her top when she heard the door click open. She didn't look up but she did smile, knowing that it was going to be Agent Peterson there to see if she'd talk about anything. "So Agent Peterson, what are you trying to find out now?" The hitch in breath and muffled curse of someone else alerted her that it wasn't Kurt and she'd made a huge mistake.

She looked up at the door, eyes wide with shock as she took in the faces of Sam and Deeks.

"Bloody hell." Sam mumbled.

"Kensi?" Deeks gasped.

Explanation in next chapter before anybody decides to throw a fit. Also, i've come back to college now and i haven't completely finished writing the next chapter so they might not be as regular as they have been but it will be soon.
