Hello everyone and welcome back. Here's the big battle that'll close the initial arc. First time writing something of this scale, hope it's good.
Now I do have some things to say in regards to future updates. They will start being updated sporadically due to writing time, recent lack of inspiration, and for big changes in my life (moving sucks). I would like to know if you all would like for me to upload the next chapter when it's done or when I've completed a few chapters first. I'm not going on hiatus.

Chapter 13: Invasion
Hinata and others looked to the Kage box to see what was the matter only to find the 'Kazekage' holding a kunai to the Third's throat.
"It seems Orochimaru has made his move, now it's time to make mine," she thought. She tried to move but found Naruto asleep on her shoulder because of a genjustu. In fact many people were under it.
Hinata groaned, "Oh for the love of…Wake up!" Using her psionics and chakra to shatter the genjustsu. This caused the victims to jump awake in shock.
"Who? What? Where? Oh Hinata-chan what's going on?" Naruto asked.
"There's no time we have to find one of the jounin. They may be able to tell us how we can help," she responded.
Naruto looked around briefly to see the chaos that was going on just in the stadium. "What the hell!" he shouted.
"There you guys are." They turned around to see Kakashi with Gai, Kurenai, Asuma, Sakura, Ino, Choji, Kiba, and Akamaru coming towards them.
"Are you guys ok?" Ino asked.
"We're fine. Troublesome woman," Shikamaru said earning him a smack on the head.
"I too am prepared," Shino added in.
"Alright, with the exceptions of Lee and Tenten who are with Neji, all the genin are here," Asuma said.
"What about Sasuke-kun?" Sakura asked.
"That's what this is about," Kakashi started, "Sasuke went after Gaara after his team decided to pull him out. Whatever Gaara did he seems to have been the trigger for this whole thing. But Sasuke went after them with no back up just to continue his fight with Gaara. So we need to send some of you to go after him while the rest stay here to help defend the village."
The he cut his thumb did some hand signs and cried out "Summoning Justu!" Out of the smoke came a small pug.
"Yo Kakashi what's going on?" the pug said.
"This is Pakku, he'll be the one to track Sasuke for the group we'll send," Kakashi said
"Yo," Pakku responded to the genin.
"The team we've decided will be Shikamaru, Naruto, and Sakura who already volunteered," Gai said.
"I wish to go as well Kurenai-sensei. I still have my own match to have with the puppet user," Shino said.
"Very well I'll allow it. As for the rest of you, you'll be helping to escort the civilians to safety and protecting them," Kurenai said before turning to her student, "Hinata you know what to do."
Hinata nodded and then took off. She had already told her sensei about her plan to use her new brood to fight the impending invasion. Now all she needed to do was meet with Kin at the meet up point and they would unleash the Zerg upon the fools.
"Hey what's Hinata going to do?" Sakura asked.
Thinking quickly Kurenai told a half-truth. "Hinata was the one who found out about the invasion ahead of time, giving us time to prepare. She also ran across some allies that will help us out."
"Huh? Never thought Hinata had that kind of political pull, but then again she is the Hyuga heiress," Asuma pondered.
"Hinata-chan will be fine. She kicked ass in her match. Now we have to do our part," Naruto says with conviction.
Kakashi smiled beneath his mask. "Naruto's right. You all have your assignments let's do it."
The genin and their sensei split up to do the best they can for their home and the people living there.
With Kin
Kin waited patiently on top of the building that was her meeting point. She had a look of disgust as she saw many Oto nin running around. She would make them pay dearly for threatening her queen's home.
"Well, well, well if it isn't Kin. I thought Orochimaru-sama's right hand offed you for being such a failure," an Oto nin said as he and his group found her.
"Hmm it seems that she's alive, and with a Konoha headband," another Oto nin pointed out.
"Well now we can't have that. Orochima-"
"Orochi-teme has no control over me and neither do any of you worms," Kin interrupted, "The only ones who have any control over me are Xendra-senpai and Hinata-sama."
"You bitch! How dare you insult Orochimaru-sama. He is immortal. Can your precious Hina-"
He was stopped by one of Kin's tentacles spearing him through the chest. She lifted him high into the air not bothering to watch the life fade from him. She was too focused on sensing her queen and slowly revealing her Zerg form to the dead men.
"You don't get it. I have grown while being away from the darkness of Oto and now am proud to serve a caring and loving queen," she said as her other tentacles flared in suppressed anger, "In only a few weeks she has shown me greater kindness than in all the time I've spent in the Sound. I live and breathe, kill and break, command and die for her, for Konoha, and the Swarm!"
Her form now fully Zerg, she flings the corpse of the Oto nin off her tentacle and hits two enemies. She charges and starts ripping another one apart with her claws. His screams stir the others out of their shock and attack. She dodges the kunai thrown at her, which ends up ending the other guy's misery. She lashes out with her head tentacles, killing two more. She then uses them to help maneuver herself to kick another off the roof and hit the ground with enough force to make him no more than a red mark on the streets below.
With only one Oto nin left holding a shaking kunai she relaxes a bit as she makes her way over to him in an easy yet alluring fashion.
"S-s-stay back you freak," he says.
"Oh dear you missed one Kin-chan," he hears before an arm bursts through his chest. He feebly grabs it before his body goes lax.
Hinata withdrew her arm from the body and shook it a few times to get the gore off. She looked around at Kin's handy work. Nodding with approval she made her way over to Kin.
"Well at least you were entertained before I got here," Hinata said.
"Well they were trying to compare you with Orochi-teme and I would have none of that," Kin replied.
"Indeed. Let us begin." "Xendra, can you hear me?"
"Yes my queen. I am in position with the remainder of the brood. We only await your orders and these invaders shall feel the wrath of the swarm," Xendra communicated.
Drawing on her power, she reached out to her entire brood, even connecting to Kin to check on them. Her eyes glowed with psionic power and her fingers became clawed in anticipation as she and her Zerg half became one.
"Hear me. The shinobi of Oto dare to attack our home and kill those precious to me.
I will not stand for it. We shall not stand for it. The Leaf needs aid and we shall provide it. Go forth and slay every Oto nin you come across, incapacitate all Suna nin, and aid those of Konoha. Go forth in the name of the Zerg swarm," Hinata voiced knowing they could hear her.
With Konohamaru
The academy student along with his friends Moegi and Udon were busy helping to escort civilians to the shelters with their instructors.
"Damn these guys there's no end to them," Moegi said.
"It doesn't matter. We just have to keep protecting the villagers," Konohamaru said.
A large group of Oto and Suna nin arrived to look for "prey" to hunt.
"Lookie, Lookie men. Some academy rats," an Oto nin pointed out. The civilians became scared.
"We're in a good mood right now so we'll cut you a deal. You hand over the villagers for our fun and we'll let you die last," a Suna nin suggested.
"No way bastard. These guys are under our protection. We won't abandon them to the likes of you," Konohamaru said proudly.
The invaders laughed at their bravado. Suddenly the ground cracked a bit catching everyone's attention. Then several creatures burst forth screeching at the invaders. Zerglings charged them catching many because of their shock. Their comrades could only watch as they were mauled to death by the many creatures. Hydralisks shot spines that killed many more. Realizing they were outnumbered and out maneuvered the rest ran, but they would not get far. Their queen had given them a command and they would follow it.
"W-what the heck was that?" asked Udon.
"I don't know, but I guess they're here to help?" Mogei suggested.
"Come on we have to get these people to the shelters," Konohamaru said.
They lead the people away from what they just saw, but as they were leaving they could hear the screams of those shinobi and the screeching of the creatures. What they didn't know was that similar occurrences were taking place all across Konoha.
Forest of Death
A Konoha chunin was protecting his injured teammates near the fence of training ground 44 against four Oto nin. His team had managed to kill or incapacitated eight before their wounds became too much and they were forced to withdraw. Unfortunately they were followed. Now bleeding heavily he vowed to protect his team or die trying.
Then came the sounds of movement and screeching coming from the forest and coming closer. Zerglings dashed out and pounced the Oto nin and started ripping them apart. One of them turned its head to the chunin. The chunin tensed at the creature's attention, but it looked at his headband and left with its own to go into the village.
More sound caught his attention and his team's as they saw more creatures lead by a larger one.
"Forward. Move into the village. Silence the Sound Terrans. It is our queen's command," Xendra spoke.
Mutalisks flew overhead to provide air support, while the broodmother moved in with Zerglings and Hyrdalisks. When they left the team was trying to comprehend what they just saw.
"We're just hallucinating from our injuries. Yeah that's it," one said half crazed, but his teammates decided to go with that as they healed and rested.
With Kin
Tearing the throat of another Oto nin, Kin continued her journey to the hospital where her queen's cousin was located. Hinata ordered her to check up on him and his team while she checked on her family. Flanking her were eight Zerglings and four Hydralisks.
"We must hurry. Hinata-sama wants the hospital secured for injured allies," she commanded.
Reaching the hospital they found the door was broken down and a number of the staff were dead while the rest were injured. The sight made her hybrid blood boil.
"How dare they attack civilians! Oh Hinata-sama they shall pay dearly if they harm your cousin. I'll bring them to you myself…after I have my own fun with them."
Her musing at the promise of pain was stopped at the groans from one of the wounded nurses. She moved to the source moving the nurse's body slightly to get a better look at the injury.
"Tell me who did this and where they went," she asked.
"T-they were O-Oto nin. They w-went down the E-East wing," The nurse grunted through the pain. She opened her eyes a little but they bugged out at the sight of the creatures.
"Alright let's move quickly," Kin said.
"W-w-what are y-you?" the nurse whispered fearfully. She became ridged when Kin turned to face her.
"We are the Zerg and we are here to help," Kin stated leaving the injured nurse.
The Zerg tracked the invaders to the room that Neji was in oddly enough. Neji was still out of it from his fight with Naruto and the truth that Hiashi told him about his father, but he had a kunai ready for if they got close. Lee swatted over eager Sound nin with his crutch which was backed up by the strength in his good arm. Tenten was forced to do most of the fighting because she didn't participate nor was she injured prior to the attack.
She hurled kunai and shuriken at the doorway and killed many, but the remaining six were giving her trouble.
*huff* *huff* "You guys ready to leave us alone," Tenten smirked through her wiriness.
*hmph* "You can hardly take much more since you're protecting such dead weight. If you'd let us kill them at the start you might have stood a chance," an Oto nin sneered.
"We are shinobi of Konoha. We do not abandon our comrades," Neji said.
"Hahaha whatever weaklings," the nin sneered once more.
"SHREEEE," cried the Zerglings as they pounced the furthest Oto nin.
"What the Fuck!? AHHHG-!" shouted another as Kin impaled him with her tentacles. She had a shit-eating grin as she lifted him then ripped him open when her tentacles opened up revealing herself to those in the room in a gory fashion.
"Kin what the hell!" the sneering nin shouted before a Hyrdalisk spine was embedded in his forehead.
Team Gai were frozen in terror at what they were witnessing. Tenten was especially unnerved because she had seen the girl when she was attacked in this very hospital.
"K-Kin? *gulp* Is that you?" she asked as the Zerg finished of the invaders.
Kin smiled and shrunk her tentacles to hair length. "Yes it's still me Tenten-san. I never did thank you for your part in my rescue from Kabuto. So thank you. I know you probably have questions, but I can only afford to answer one right now."
Tenten had several questions swimming around her head, but upon closer inspection of Kin's new form she had one that stood out.
"Why are you naked!?" she asked causing the rest of her team and herself to blush at this.
Kin rolled her eyes. "I'm not naked in the sense that you're thinking. I may not be wearing cloths, but my privates are clearly covered by my chitin plating. As for why, I don't feel as restricted. Got to go now, I have to make sure this place is ready to receive patients."
With that she left a very confused but relieved team of gennin behind.
Konoha's Walls
The Suna nins' actions had paid off in the form of giant snake summons attacking the walls. Konoha shinobi could deal with the human invaders, but had neither experience nor skill in dealing with summons. The massive serpents caused panic and chaos within the ranks and killed those too paralyzed with fear to react. This was the sight that Jiraiya came upon.
"Looks like its' time for me to step in," biting his thumb he went through hand signs and cried, "Summoning Jutsu!"
Next thing everyone knew the toad sage was atop a giant toad with two swords on its back.
"Let's do this Gamahiro," he said.
"I've been eager for something in snake skin. My wife won't stop bitching about it," the toad responded.
Unfortunately Jiraiya and Gamahiro could only be in one place at a time when there were many snake summons.
Then the sounds of screeching filled the skies as Mutalisks harassed the snakes from a distance and Zerg ground forces engaged both them and the Sand shinobi. The Suna nin were terrified at the sight of dozens of creatures swarming towards them. The Zerg incapacitated those who could not get away.
"Attack the serpents. We shall collect their biomass," Xendra voiced causing Zerglings to swarm the summons like ants would a worm.
From atop Gamahiro Jiraiya had a ridiculous face of shock at the sight of the swarm.
"Looks like sensei wasn't lying about an army of creatures, but the Hyuga heiress is in control of them? Come on," he thought to himself.
"RAAAAAHH!"*splat* was the next thing he heard. Jiraiya turned his head to see the head of one of the summons' heads explode.
With Hinata
The invaders were losing momentum when Hinata first sent the order to attack, but now that she was involved the retreat had sounded among the enemy forces. After she made sure her clan was safe, specifically Hanabi and her father, she unleashed fury upon the poor fools of the Sound and Sand.
Her Byakugan found those in the village that needed help so she went to those places first. Her claws shred through the enemy with no trouble and her psionics only added to the carnage by strangling them or causing individuals to explode.
Now she stood victoriously upon the corpse of her latest victim: the snake summon. After slashing the body with her claws, she essentially did to the snake's head what she did to Dosu but pumped in more chakra and psionic energy.
She took a deep breath to calm herself and analyze the battlefield. She pulled her Zerg from the village to attack the greater threat of the serpents leaving only Kin's group at the hospital. It may have been a bit of a gamble, but she had faith in her own village.
Her thoughts were broken by the approach of the veteran Zergling that first bowed to her all those weeks ago. She reached out and pet him, but did not pull her gaze away from what she was witnessing.
She was watching her boyfriend fight the maniac from Suna, Gaara. With Byakugan flaring and glowing orange with psionic power she put all her faith into her mate.
"M-mate? Where did that…ohhh. Must be my Zerg instincts influencing me again. *sigh* I need to tell him. I need to tell everyone. My brood is depending on me and I won't let them down."
"The hospital is secure and your cousin's team is safe Hinata-sama," Kin messaged.
"Thank you Kin. Continue the good work," she responded.
She continued to watch Naruto's fight with Gaara. She could only describe the battle as one of legend, especially when Gaara became a giant sand beast and Naruto summoned a giant toad.
"Send in ten Mutalisks to harass that sand monster. They won't be able to do much but they might give Naruto-kun the opening he needs," she ordered.
They flew over her to reach their destination. She smirked and turned to Xendra.
"Come on. We can continue to deal with the forces outside of Konoha then I'll go help Naruto-kun.
"Of course my queen. We have many more Terrans to kill," Xendra replied eagerly.
With Naruto
"Damn it," thought Naruto. Even with Gamabunta he was having trouble.
"Kid we've got to wake the medium if we want to end this," Gamabunta said.
Naruto grinned, "Alright just get us in close and I'll do the rest."
The massive toad leaped at the Shukaku and tried to get a hold of him, but lacked the grip needed to hold on. The Bijuu counterattacked forcing the blond and toad to back up.
"What the hell? I though you were supposed to grab him," Naruto shouted.
"Shut up brat! I'm a toad and toads don't have much in terms for grabbing something, but I have a plan," Gamabunta said.
The conversation was cut short as the toad leaped to avoid the sand bullets the Shukaku was firing. The bijuu laughed at their dodging dance. Suddenly the Mutalisks arrived and started harassing the beast with their razors.
"Ahh what the hell are you gnats? Hey, cut it out."
Naruto, Gamabunta, and anyone else still watching was also curious what the bat-like creatures were.
"Well…this is happening. But anyway kid my plan is for you and I to perform a combined henge to become something that can hold onto Shukaku. Just think about something with fangs and claws. Now get ready," the toad said as they charged into battle. The Mutalisks broke off the attack to return to their queen and finish cleaning up.
"Alright something with fangs and claws. Uhhh…the only thing I can think of is him." Naruto thought. "Well here goes nothing. Transform!"
With Hinata
Exhilarating. Everything seemed just so right to Hinata at the moment. The Sand ninja were running from her in terror and the chase had given her great joy. The foolish weaklings couldn't stand up to the power she displayed or was it the fact she had a swarm of creatures at her back.
She grinned savagely as she caught one last Suna nin giving the poor man a good look at her before she delivered a swift blow to the temple and rendered him unconscious. She threw him to one of her Zerglings to carry the comatose enemy. Well she knew Orochimaru had tricked all of Suna by impersonating their Kazekage, but that didn't matter right now. With her and Xendra leading the brood, she made her way back to a group of Leaf shinobi to deliver the prisoners.
The Konoha shinobi were wary of the large group of things that approached them. They then became confused at the sight of the Hyuga heiress leading the procession of creatures with unconscious Suna nin on the backs of some.
"Hyuga-san what is-"
"The Hokage will explain everything when this is all over but for now take these prisoners," Hinata cut the speaker off. Those Zerglings carrying bodies flung them as gently as they could to the that done she turned to go in the direction of Naruto.
"H-hey where are you going?"
She paused to turn back and say, "To find Naruto-kun."
With Naruto
Naruto moved closer to Gaara chin by chin as he dragged himself over. His body was on fire with pain and exhaustion. Blood from his forehead dripped down his face.
"No! Stay back! You won't end my existence!" Gaara said fearfully.
Naruto stopped for a second. "It hurts doesn't it? That pain of being all alone? I know, I've been down that same road."
Gaara's eyes widened at this. "Then why? Why are you not like me?"
"I got some precious people in my life. They saved me from myself. My despair. Hehe I've even got a girl waiting for me when this is all over."
"The pink haired one?"
*chuckle* "Maybe before, but not anymore. I've got someone else and I wouldn't trade her for anything."
"I feel the same way Naruto-kun," said a voice from nearby.
Both jinchuuriki struggled to turn their heads to the source. There stood Hinata smiling warmly at Naruto. She made her way over to him. "You were wonderful Naruto-kun. I have no doubt you'll be the greatest Hokage that Konoha has ever seen."
"Hehe thanks Hinata-chan. By the way what's with those things," he asked tiredly but just barely noticing the Zerg behind them.
"I-It's complicated Naruto-kun, but I promise to tell you about it when you get better," she said.
Gaara didn't pay attention to the two genin, his eyes were focused on the amalgamation of creatures she brought. His fear started to creep back into his heart when they looked at him. With his chakra depleted he would be helpless if they decided to attack.
"GAARA!" Temari shouted at the sight of her downed brother and the creatures. Kankuro limping beside her after his fight with Shino.
"Temari, Kankuro we're done here," Gaara said in a defeated monotone.
Xendra moved over close to Hinata, "Shall we prevent their escape my queen?"
"No. Let them go. They are no longer a threat Xendra. We have more important things to do, like bringing the wounded to the hospital."
"As you command my queen."
The Suna genin took this opportunity to grab their brother and flee with every amount of energy they had left to get away from the merciful Hyuga and her army of monsters.
"I thought the Shukaku was bad. But an army like that… if the Leaf has something like that and ninja like that blond among their ranks I just pray that they're merciful. I do not want to get in a war with those factors present." Kankuro thought as they fled.
