Chapter Fourteen:

Wrong

At the age of ten, the government gives every boy and girl a companion according to their personality. Some kids had scaly companions that slithered beside them as they walked, others had a standard cat or dog, and if you're unlucky enough a goldfish will flap uselessly at your side. The day he turned ten, Tsuna almost wished he could skip over it. He wasn't smart, or good at athletics, or brave. He's a sad excuse for a young boy and everyone knew it, with his luck he'd most likely receive a goldfish.

A knock on the door brought him out of his thoughts. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see his mom jump in surprise, she probably was thinking the same as him. Her failure of a son will have a failure of a companion. She quickly jogged to the door and opened it to two men in expensive matching suits. Between them, they held a cage with a sigil holding it closed.

Nana stepped to the side to let them in, they walked to the dining room where Tsuna stood anxiously. He prayed for anything but a goldfish. As soon as they set the cage on the small wooden table they left.

Slowly, inch-by-inch, he stepped closer to the cage. He didn't get much of an opportunity to prepare before the cage bust open and a flash of orange dashed towards him. The impact forced him to the ground, fiery orange hair obstructed everything from view.

He sat up from his position quickly, the fireball fell to his lap. Faintly he heard a gasp of surprise from his mother. He looked down and saw a small lion cub sitting in his lap. It looked happy as if they were longtime companions reunited. What surprised her was there was a lion sitting on his lap.

Something was definitely wrong.

Another one I'm not proud of it. However, let me pull out my list of excuses and use the one I've used before. I didn't have time... Sigh. Thanks for reading!
