A/N: Thanks for all the reviews! I haven't decided yet if I'm going to go with the second movie or not! I kinda of want to but the end of this chapter I kind of had something else planned so let me know what you think please!

"Nick!" Sophie said loudly causing him, Bones, Spock and Captain Crimp to turn around to see Jim and her walking into Sickbay holding hands.
"About damn time." Nick said smiling shaking his head when he saw their hands intertwined together. "I thought you two were just going to skirt around each other for another 5 years."
Sophie blushed shyly, where as Jim grinned pulling her closer to him and kissing her forehead as they approached the four men. Nick stepped forwards first and hugged Sophie tightly.
"Congrats Sophie." He whispered.
"Thanks." She said softly.
"Jim." Nick said shaking his hands before laughing and pulling him into a one armed hug. "Hurt her and you'll find yourself in my sickbay for weeks got it?"
"Understood." He said laughing as he turned to Captain Crimp. "Captain."
"Hello Kirk." Crimp said shaking his hand before turning to Sophie. "And…"
"This is Lieutenant Pace, our Tactical Officer on bridge." Spock said helping the Captain out.
"Lieutenant Pace, nice to meet you." Crimp said shaking her hand. "Now let's go up to the bridge and figure things out."
"I'll be up soon." Sophie told Jim as they headed out for she wanted to stay with Nick for minute and see Pike.
2 Day's later
"We're ready to dock Captain." Sulu said from his consol.
"Take her in Mr. Sulu." Jim said from his chair where he casual sat, all healed and ready for whatever the council threw at him. The past 2 days were long and tedious and everyone was glad to be back. Most of the time was spent trying to fix the ship the best they could as the USS Stargazer help them in. Sophie and Jim hardly spent much more then a hour alone as they were both busy with their own thing and helping Sickbay and they still hadn't talked because the didn't want to rush the talk.
"We're docked Captain."
"Thanks Sulu."
Jim made an announcement ship wide to let everyone know before cutting it off. Bones was transferring Pike to Starfleet Medical Hospital and Jim was suppose to report to Admiral Barnett when he landed for debriefing as were the rest of the command crew; Spock, Uhura, Sulu, Chekov, Sophie, Bones, Scotty and him.
"If I don't get a chance to tell you later for fear of being expelled from Starfleet," Jim said standing up and looking around the bridge, "it's been an honor. Thank you all for believing in me and helping me, none of this could have been done without any of you. Now with that said let's get the down there before they send up a search crew."
Stepping off that shuttle the crew found themselves surrounded by cameras, reports and lights.
"Well, here we go." Bones muttered from the other side of Jim.
"Jim! Sophie!" a voice in the crowd yelled as the crew walked towards the Admirals building. Sophie turned and found Andrea, Lena, and Brad standing in the crowd.
"Jim." Sophie said tugging on his hand. Jim turned to see them and smiled. "Please?"
Jim looked at Sophie then back at the Admiral that had met them at the shuttle. "Sir we'll be really quick."
"The Pike's?" he said raising his eyebrow.
Jim and Sophie both nodded. "Alright. 5 minutes."
Grabbing Sophie's hand tightly they made their way through the crowd to the Pike's. Andrea immediately wrapped her arms around Jim while Brad tugged Sophie towards him hugging her. Before Andrea grabbed her in a hug and Lena hugged Jim and he shook Brad's hand.
"Let me look at you two." Andrea said looking them over as they stood there hand in hand.
"Hey about time!" Brad said clapping Jim on the back. "Nick commed us, you idiots I can't believe it took this long."
"Why does everyone keep saying that!" Jim said with a smile.
"Because it's true." Lena told them laughing.
"We are so proud of you two and thank you so much for bring my Chris back." Andrea said quietly hugging them again.
"We couldn't leave him." Jim said quietly so the reporters wouldn't hear.
"I know dears. Now you better get going before it's too late. We'll be in the Medical building but we'll find you two." Andrea said hugging them one last time before disappearing in the crowd to Pike.
Sophie and Jim then slowly made their way back to the group who was still chatting with Joanna who was talking non-stop. Uhura now had her and was making her laugh with the different languages she could talk.
"Jimmy?" a voice called out when they had reached the group again making Jim go tense, not turning around. Sophie turned, she knew that voice and it was a voice she didn't want Jim to hear again no matter how much it pained him to not hear it, it was worse to hear it. When she turned she found Jim's mother, Winona standing there a little ways from the group and with her a man not much older then Jim standing next to her. She recognized him instantly as Sam, Jim's brother.
"Shit." Sophie muttered. "Sam's here too."
"What?" Jim said not believing her but still having his back to them.
"Sam." She repeated softly for only him to hear. "Your brother is with her and walking this way."
Sophie turned to look at Jim's face only to find him looking at Bones with wide-eyes. The entire command crew was watching the situation with interesting, not really sure what was going on.
"Jim, tell me. Yes or no?" Sophie said to him as Bones walked close to them.
"No." he whispered when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He took a quick glance back and saw it was his mom with Sam right behind her. "No, not now." he repeated to Sophie before walking right pass Bones and the Admiral.
Sophie sighed looking at Bones and the rest of the crew before taking a deep breath to get her anger under control then turned towards the Kirks.
"Commander Kirk, Mr. Kirk." She said nodding to them before walking away after Jim.
"Wait!" his mother yelled cutting Sophie off so now Sophie had to face her. "Your Sophie Pace right? I remember you."
Sophie just continued to stare at her and Sam wanting nothing more then either lash out of them or follow Jim. So instead she chose to be silent and saw Bones come to stand next to her.
"Can I help you?" Sophie said coldly without any emotion in her voice.
"I um…" she responded. "Do you know where Jimmy went? We'd like to see him."
"Sorry he's busy right now."
"Well maybe tomorrow?"
"He's busy."
"He's my son I'm pretty sure he can make time for me." She said someone curtly.
"He could, but he won't." Sophie said once again before turning to leave.
"Who do you think you are?" Sam finally said speaking.
"I'm the one who has to pick of the broken pieces from the mess you two idiots made. He doesn't and won't want to talk to you two. What the hell makes you think he would have wanted to see you?" Sophie said finally snapping.
"Because he's my son!" his mother spat back.
"Son? Ha!" Sophie said sarcastically. "You don't have the right to call yourself his mother. You lost that right when you married Frank and were 'call' on assignments. And you!" Sophie said turning towards Sam, "You lost that right when you ran away, leaving your 8 year old brother to deal with Frank. What kind of brother does that?"
"Sophie, people are staring. This probably isn't the best place for this." Bones said quietly.
"Your right." She said taking a deep breath. "Stay away from Jim."
And with those last words she took off after Jim only to be stopped by the Admiral who was there.
"He went to the Medical building." The Admiral said softly. "Tell him the debriefing will be in 2 hours in conference room 6. I'll see you both there."
"Could you tell Doctor McCoy please," the Admiral nodded, "Thank you sir." Sophie said softly.
Entering the Medical building she went in search of the Pike's knowing Jim was probably with them. After 10 minutes of searching she found Jim sitting in a room with the Pike's. Andrea was sitting in a chair next to her husband who was in a bed, Brad and Nick sat on the window ledge and Lena sad in another chair, leaving Jim to sit in an over stuff chair by himself staring off into space.
"Jim?" Sophie said softly walking into the room.
He snapped his head up at the sound of her voice and sighed in relief upon seeing her. She quickly walked over to him as he stood up and wrapped her arms around him hugging him close. Jim wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his face in her hair, trying to hide the small tears coming from his face.
"Sh-h. I've got you." She said quietly. The two stood there silently for a few more minutes as the Pike's watched on thoroughly confused until finally Jim pulled away and kissed her softly grabbing her face between his hands. Sophie and Jim then sat down together in the over stuffed chair with her in his lap sideways.
"Alright you two. What happened?" Pike said from his bed. "Shouldn't you be debriefing?"
"Oh no." Jim said looking at Sophie wide-eyed.
"Whoa calm down." Sophie said seeing the panic look in his eyes. "We're debriefing in 2 hours."
"Why?" Nick asked from his seat.
"Well," Sophie started nervously. "I kind of made a scene and the Admiral understood then."
"Sophie." Jim said in a warning tone. "What kind of scene?"
"They wanted to talk to you and I told them you busy and…"
"Who are they?" Andrea said joining the conversation.
Jim and Sophie shared a look before Jim nodded at Sophie to answer for him, not trusting his voice.
"Winona and Sam Kirk, his mom and brother, decided to greet Jim when we landed." Sophie said to the Pike's.
"Oh no." Pike said from his bed.
"Oh yes, and well I was doing really well until his mom said something and well I kind of snapped." Sophie said looking ashamed down at Jim.
"What did she say Soph?" Jim said wanting to know. "You usually keep your cool around her."
"I was!" Sophie protested before her voice got soft. "Before she called you her son and I just snapped. Leo stopped me though before it really bad."
"Damn right I did." Bones said from the doorway. "Your girl's got a temper when she wants."
"Soph you didn't." Jim said not believing her as he smiled none-the-less.
"No! Ok maybe." She said causing everyone to laugh. "Only because it was you Jim. She has no right to call herself your mother, especially everything she has put you through; leaving on assignments, Frank, shipping you off to…"
"Sophie." Jim hissed.
"Sorry. And then Sam, what kind of brother runs away leaving their 8 year old brother to deal with a man like Frank! They don't have that right anymore." She finished softly, hoping she hadn't messed up too badly by saying he got shipped off.
The room was silent after Sophie's little rant all taking in what they just heard until something dawned on Brad.
"Ship you off where?" he said from his spot where he watched both Sophie and Jim's eyes get big and both tense up.
"Damn it Sophie." Jim said practically growling at her.
"I'm sorry. It's not like I meant to say that." She said.
"Think we can make a run for it?" Jim said softly, though everyone could hear him.
Sophie looked at the door to see Bones standing there, a scowl on his face. "With Leo there? Be my guest, I'll be right behind you."
Jim laughed putting his head on her chest. "I'm bringing you down with me."
"Like I'd make you tell them by yourself." She said rolling her eyes. "Leo shut the door and take a seat."
Bones quietly shut the door and came in and stood by the wall leaning against it.
"Is there anyway someone might over hear this conversation." Jim said to Pike seriously.
"No. How serious is this?"
"The kind that none of you can tell anyone. What we're about to tell you doesn't leave this room. Got it?" Jim said leaning away from Sophie.
"Sam left when I was 8, he couldn't take it anymore with my step-dad Frank. Two years later I met Sophie, we were ten and everything seemed to be looking up. That was until I decided to drive my dad's old corvette into the riven, I was 12 I think." Jim started off softly.
"13 Jim. We were 13." Sophie injected quietly.
"Sorry, 13. Anyways Frank was mad, really mad and when my mom came back she decided to…" Jim said trailing off, not knowing how to continue and looked to Sophie for help.
"What do you all know about," Sophie said taking a deep breath. "The Tarsus Nine?"
"What does that have to do with you two?" Lena said quite confused still.
"Just what do you know about them?" Jim asked again.
"There were 9 kids who survived, three of which could identify Kodo's face personally. They made sure the other kids could survive." Chris said from his bed.
"Anything else?" Sophie asked them.
"Doesn't Starfleet know where 7 of the 9 are but can't find the two oldest ones Dad?" Nick questioned him.
"Yeah. JT and Fee. They can't find them. It's like they just disappeared after they left the hospital." He answered.
"And with good reason." Jim muttered before Sophie nudged him and he looked up sighing, "Sophie and I...we were there on Tarsus. We're JT and Fee. That's where my mom shipped me to and Sophie moved with her parents about 3 months after I was there."
