Don't own them - short like the last one
Pavel had to admit, that since the whole thing with Spock had arose, Kirk had been a lot more obsessive. Overchecking and rechecking every bit of information they had, which wasn't a lot. It was around a side of A4, if that.
He just kept saying that if Spock was involved then there must be more to it. Pavel, on the other hand, believed that it showed that Pike was too growing in concern and was realising that the man, who slept in that hospital bed, was their only hope. The man who still hadn't woken up.
It had been three days since he had been attacked, which was very worrying.
McCoy was constantly going to medical to check him, even in his off hours, and by the factor alone, everyone was on high alert.
The news of this attack had also been leaked to the public which was causing more problem than not. Floods of terrified civilians were rushing to hospitals, doctor's surgeries and clinics demanding to be tested for a disease that didn't exist. None knowing the full schematics of the attacks.
This was soon leading to bulk buying and hording, some were even refusing to leave their homes. All in all the situation was getting out of control.
But Pavelk was left with the all important task of reading, again. Through countless amount of books that, he already knew, would help in no way at all. Him and Sulu had tried and tried but there was nothing there. This thing had popped up out of nowhere and no one else had any great ideas so they were stuck with it.
Making his way to the library was a trivial task, especially seeing as he now spent most of his life there. What he didn't antisipate was bumping into Spock whilst passing the one of the Quantium Physic rooms.
"Ooph," grabbing hold of the figure in front of him. "I'm sorry, so so sorry."
Pavel tilted his head to look into the stony expression of Commader Spock, "Commader Spock...I...I am so sorry, sir. It won't happen again."
Spock's expression turned to that of confusion, "That is alright, Cadet, and call me Mister Spock."
"Oh, thank you Mister Spock," Pavel's mind and body wished to run and hide away. Spock just seemed to give off an unfriendly vibe, it was the whole no emotions thing.
"That is alright, Cadet." Seeing as he had repeated the same phrase twice, Pavel took it as his leave. He needed to get back to the library, although what he really wished to do was sleep. He hadn't done so properly since this whole thing started but he couldn't let Doctor McCoy or Jim down.
So he nodded greatfully at Spock and let his little legs start to quickly propel him towards his destination. Only stopping when an 'Eh hem' sounded behind him. What had he done now?
Pavel quickly began to apologize with his usual 'sorry, sir' but it was halted by Mister Spock raising his hand in a silencing manner.
Spock spoke with a much calculated tone, "As I have already told you, Cadet, everything is alright." A brief pause, "And it is in all honesty that I was actually searching for you in the first place."
Pavel was baffled; why would Spock, of all people, be looking for him?
All Pavel could muster was a weak 'oh'. What had happen to the strong willed Pavel, he though bitterly to himself. Ever since he'd arrived at this school he'd aimed to mot look weak but to look strong. Anything that would get bullies to second guess themselves; not that it had worked.
"Indeed," oh yeah Spock was here. "I know you and your...friends have been investigating in secret." uh oh, "But I am not here to repremand you."
Shocked, he gasped, "Really...then what, sir? What are you going to do?"
"Enlist you" it was said with such certainty that Pavel himself didn't even realise the whole ramifications behind it, at first anyway. What would the others have done? Kirk would have most likely already have stormed off by now. McCoy might have laughed. Sulu would have acted much like Pavel. But Uhura would have acted positively, she would have agreed.
So Pavel did too, without checking with the others. All because of one simple fact; They were getting nowhere.
How'd it sound? Any good. Please leave a review. Sorry for spelling mistakes. Still haven't got any.
