MaxPOV

Date: October 28, 2013

Location: Unknown

I stood in the hotel room in front of the mirror wanting it not to be the hearing date. I didn't want to sit in front of a jury, answering questions from the from the defense attorney. I just want to be with Fang, in his embrace; not in the embrace of questionings and breaking me down, one by one, breaking my walls down with a ball and chain.

Mary came over to me and started ushering me out of the room and to the elevator where I had to stand in the middle of Marshals wearing bullet-proof vests. The doors opened at the bottom and a mass of Marshals stood in the hotel lobby. Mary held onto my arm as we walked to the SUV's. I was put in the back of one and told to lay across the back seat the best I could; I followed as I was told and laid back on the seat.

Marshall got in the driver seat with Mary in the passenger seat. The car started to move and I realized I was on my way to the court house. I reached for my phone but then remembered I was forced to leave it back at the Marshal's office.

Location: Judge's Office- Courthouse

"Tara, this will be recorded and played back during the hearing so that your safety is not compromised. Do you understand that if your testimony is different from the one you say on a later date you will be in serious trouble?" The blond haired attorney said.

"I understand," I was then sworn to say the truth and was instructed to start my testimony.

"About four years ago I was on the run, like I had been for most of my life, when Andrew Baker and a few other men I didn't know their names found me and took me to a warehouse on the west side of Phoenix. I had been blind folded so I didn't know where I was going until I escaped. Once we got there I was carried in, tied down and un-blind folded. Andrew had instructed the other men to leave and go look for my birth-mother, who had left me in my father's care after I was born. He ripped my shirt and pulled out a knife, pressing it against my collarbone he demanded me to tell him where my father's stash was. Any time I didn't answer a question he would drag the knife across my skin.

"After about an hour of that he left to go clean off my blood. I managed to tip the chair over and move across the room to where a piece of glass laid. I grabbed the glass and slid back to where I had originally sat. I cut the rope off with the glass and I took the tape off of my mouth before untying my legs. Just as I stood up he came back holding the knife he came after me. I used my self-defense training and was able to get ahold of the knife. He kept coming at me and I stabbed him. He fell to the ground, using my shirt I wiped off my prints from the knife, took the rope I had been tied up with me when I ran.

"He's men have been after me ever since and it was only because my father had been killed and no one knew where he had hid his drugs or who his supplier was; no one but my birth mother, who took that secret with her when she left. I was just the leverage they had on my mother to get her to tell them. While I was still on the run from them I knew where they were at all times and knew that they still hadn't located her. These men are a danger to everyone who knew who I was, knew my mother, and anyone who got in their way." The attorney stopped recording after making sure I was done then Mary and Marshall escorted me out of the office where the other Marshals grouped around me hiding me.

Location: Max's Hotel Room

Mary had just left my room and gone into hers across the hall. I sat down on my bed and turned the TV on. A knock came from the door a few minutes later; I got off the bed and opened to door to see three men in all black with masks covering their face. I quickly went to shut it but one of them shoved the door back open and another pushed me into the room. The third one closed the curtains and locked the door with the two locks while the first one punched me.

I gasped in pain and started fighting back but I knew it wasn't worth it when there were three of them and one of me. The tallest one grabbed a hold of me and another one kicked and punched me. I tried to get out of the man's grasp but got kicked in the head and black out.

FangPOV

My family and friends had come to visit me during the two days that people could visit us. Max hadn't come because of a family emergency and I kind of wished she could have come. I hadn't really made friends with anyone other than Zack but he was more of a friendly face, one that had helped me get the guy that had gone crazy when he got that knife.

I tried texting Max but I didn't get any answer so I just hope everything is okay with her and her family, but I have this feeling that it's not…

A/N:

So super-duper short chapter but it's kind of hard to write FangPOV when he's at boot camp and nothing real exciting of important happens there.

So should Zack become Fang's friend? Review with what you think!
