Spiderman: Ninja Chronicles Chapter 13:
Black Suit Saga Part 2: Battle with the Beetle
"Ok ladies, here how this is going to work." Spiderman said, cracking his knuckles. "I kick your collective butts, and I go home happy."
Our hero was standing in front of several of Silvermane's goons who were shipping illegal weapons. Two charged forward with clubs with the intent of hitting them, only for Spiderman to grab them both, and throw them into each other.
"Good thing Silvermane retired, you guys are pathetic." He spun and webbed several goons to the nearby walls. "I mean seriously, the current Big man has more than his fair share of tough goons, and at least they try." He slammed his heel into a guy holding a chain.
As this was going on, a single camera was hidden from on top of a building, observing the fight.
"So this is Spiderman?" A man asked in an office miles from the area, watching the fight through the feed. He was in his late fifties with snow white hair and business suit. The most striking feature was his piercing red eyes.
"Yes sir." His secretary answered.
"I can't imagine how this twerp was able to give my replacement a hard time." Silvermane chuckled.
"Don't get cocky." A third person said, who took a drag of his cigarette. His body was a basic build and his head was shaven. Though most striking of all was a log jagged scar going across his face.
"Problem Unalaq? Silvermane asked.
"If he's given your replacement problems, who knows what he'll do for you." Unalaq answered.
"Just deal with it." Silvermane said firmly.
"Whatever." Unalaq shrugged. He left the office and went over to a series of crates. He pulled one open and pulled out a silver helmet with a red stag beetle horn.
Naruto walked through the halls of Blaze City high in his new attire: A black T-shirt with a diagonal white stripe, a pair of black faded jeans, and a pair of black sneakers.
"Ok, this new suit does wonders for the likes of me." Naruto thought darkly to himself.
"Hey Uzumaki." Flash said from behind. "Your camera busted or something, what's with the black suit Spidey?"
"No, he changed Flash, it happens." Naruto said, half bored.
"Listen Uzumaki, fix your camera." Flash demanded, slamming Naruto against some lockers. "Or I fix your face."
Naruto swung his knee upwards and right into Flash's stomach. The quarterback stumbled back as he clutched the inflicted area.
"Jerk." Naruto straighten his shirt, and walked off. Should Flash have recovered soon enough, he would have seen Naruto's shirt lengthen at the sleeves through a series of tendrils.
The Tinkerer was looking through some blue prints of a future project, when Hammerhead came in, and flipped over the table.
"The beetle's out and about, sending out messages," Hammerhead shouted, angry.
"And let me guess, you need an upgrade?" The Tinkerer said, cleaning his glasses.
"No, the big man sends an ultimatum, fix this, or you'll need to be fixed." Hammerhead, grabbed the Tinkerer by the shirt and threated.
"Trust me, I'll deal with it personally." He pulled out a manila folder codenamed: Dragon Breathe.
The final school bell let out and the students piled out excited for the weekend. Naruto immediately walked slowly away, deep in thought about Kiria. Ever since she was placed in her coma, Naruto frequently thought about her similarly to how he used to think about.
"Stop, it's unimportant." The Spider Sense toned voice ordered from the back of Naruto's head. Only now it sounded more vile and warped.
"Yeah, you're right again." Naruto mumbled quietly, though still unsure.
From a far, Tenten was on top of a building, watching Naruto walk away.
"Naruto, the council broke you, in more ways than one." The girl said, clearly upset. She remembered the stories he parents told her.
"Tenten, let's go." Neji said, getting the girl's attention. As Tenten looked at Neji, Naruto's outfit spread over him, becoming the black suit Spiderman.
Several hours into Naruto's patrol, he found himself hanging on a roof a few blocks from the hospital.
"Why am I even here?" Naruto thought to himself. Just then, his Spider-sense flared up and Spiderman rolled to the side, dodging a fire ball.
"What you think I wouldn't find you if you switched to a stealth suit?" Sasuke asked, his hands still in the position for his attack.
"You tell me." Spiderman quipped. Sasuke charged, activating a chidori attack. Spiderman jumped over it. As he did, a small portion of the suit jumped off, and attached itself to Sasuke's curse mark.
"Hold it Uchiha," Neji shouted in a demanding tone.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Sasuke demanded.
"I would like to ask that question, except nicely." Spiderman said, half shocked.
"Sorry Uchiha, Hokage's orders, you were only supposed to monitor Silvermane, now we're bringing you in." Neji said firmly.
"How are you going to manage that?" Sasuke sneered.
"With a little love from Jiraya of the Sannin." Tenten reached into here pouch and pulled out a paper seal. She put her thumb to it and applied chakra. Sasuke's curse mark spread over his body with an electric blue hue and the Uchiha collapsed in pain.
"How?" Sasuke demanded.
"While getting in contact with his spy network, Jiraya discovered Orrochimaru had developed a type of punishment seal for the curse mark," Neji explained. "It essentially uses ones elemental Chakra against them, and the finishing touches were made not long after you were returned to the leaf village."
"Thank you Pervy Sage." Naruto thought.
"The useless pervert does something right for once." The voice said with reluctant admittance.
Just then, Spiderman's Spider-sense flared up. He jumped to the side to narrowly dodge an energy blast.
"You are good." A new voice said. They turned to see a figure clade in a red and silver armor. The helmet had a red Hercules beetle horn and yellow eyes. On the back were yellow energy wings. On the right arm was a large silver sniper rifle.
"Let me guess, you're the Beetle?" Spiderman asked half surprised.
"Good guess." Beetle chuckled. The rifle folded back into the armor. "Alright, so you know me, and I'm guessing you know why I'm here."
"Same reason every other nut cake in town." Spiderman joked.
"No jokes, fight." The voice said irritated.
Beetle's shoulders lifted up, and revealed gattling cannons. "This will be over quickly." Beetle said, half bored. The energy blast shot aiming at Spiderman. Our hero back flipped, dodging the attacks.
Neji grabbed Sasuke by the back of his clothes and pulled him to the side.
"Why does Spidey have a new look?" Tenten asked.
"You asking me?" Sasuke asked, still in pain from the punishment seal.
"Why not, you've got a fetish for spiders?" Neji offered. Everyone looked at him.
Neji shrugged his shoulders. "It's what Naruto said."
"Yeah, that make sense when you say it like that." Tenten said sarcastically.
Spiderman dodged several more gattling blast from Beetle.
"This is going nowhere, go on the offensive." The dark voice ordered.
"Like you got to tell me twice." Spiderman muttered. He webbed up some debris and swung it around his body like nun chucks. Spidey leapt up and tried to slam them into the Beetle. The armored villain noticed this and raised his palms, releasing a high pitched sonic blast. As Spiderman was hit, the suit let out a high pitched scream. Spiderman rolled to the side, and unfortunately off the building. As he rolled, Naruto felt a strange sensation, as if his chakra was disappearing.
"I haven't felt like this since the council sealed off my Chakra." Naruto thought. Beetle took aim and fired another sonic blast at Spiderman.
"Dang it." Naruto cursed. He webbed up a line, and pulled himself away, needing time to think.
"You can't hide from me Spider." Beetle shouted. He took flight and chased after Spiderman. Our hero stopped for a moment to catch his breath.
"I don't want to hear it voice." He said. Only to find out, he was speaking with his Naruto voice, not his Spiderman voice. He turned to a nearby blackened window to see his right eye and portions of his suit were missing, revealing his bare flesh.
"Loud noise, really." Naruto thought flatly. His spider-sense woke up and he turned to see Beetle shooting a rocket at Spiderman.
"Dang it." Naruto cursed. He webbed up a line, dodging the attack.
"That's not going to save you Spider." Beetle shouted. He tossed several grenades past Spiderman, and they created gigantic force field walls.
"Ok, now that's cheating." Naruto groaned. He barely had enough strength to pull himself over the wall.
"What the heck, I feel drained." He thought. He would have continued, only Beetle shoulder charged him. He directed his enemy into an abandoned warehouse.
"Seriously, the Beetle!" Kiba shouted, joining up with Tenten and Neji. Sasuke was bound, gagged, and strapped to Akamaru's back. "My mom mentioned him before we left. "
"Please tell me it includes a way to stop him." Neji begged.
"Sorry, few have lived to see him." Kiba admitted.
Akamaru barked in anger.
"Sorry, you were the last to call not it." He chuckled.
Naruto landed with a thud in a large grey square on the floor.
"Unlike most people Spiderman, I did my homework, before fighting you." Beetle said landing. He pressed a button on his gauntlet and the area was covered in an energy shield. "You primarily use your surroundings to help you win, so what can you do without that edge?"
Spiderman didn't respond.
"A silent tongue, that's not like you." Beetle commented. Still Spiderman didn't move.
Beetle shrugged, " Makes my job easier. He flicked his wrist and a pincer beetle like sword popped out.
"Goodbye Spiderman." He raised the weapon, intending to finish the job. As he brought the weapon down, Spiderman rolled to the side.
"Found you second wind?" Beetle chuckled.
Spiderman didn't respond, instead he slowly got up as his suit repaired itself, and through the costume opened up a mouth filled with razor sharp teeth. As he did Spiderman let out a fearsome inhumane roar, and tendrils emerged from his body.
"Whoa, didn't see that coming." Unalaq admitted, incredibly shocked. Spiderman got on all fours and charged at the Beetle. He jumped up on the armor and took a bite out of the shoulder, tearing off the gattling blasters.
"Get off of me!" Beetle demanded. He swatted Spiderman away. Our black clad hero was sent inches away from the shield, however he was stop by the tendrils implanting themselves into the ground. He then sling shot himself at the Beetle, slashing off some of his leg armor, and drawing blood.
"What are you a feral beast?" Beetle demanded, grunting in pain. Spiderman hissed.
"Well this seemed to do the most damage." Despite his leg hurting, Beetle tried to thrust his hands forward for another sonic blast. However Spiderman flung some webbing at him, causing the blasters to clog up and explode. Unalaq's armor was ripped to pieces, and the man was left unconscious. The shield disabled, and let out a large pop and light show.
"I'm guessing, he went that way." Kiba suggested, seeing the light.
Spiderman picked up the sword Beetle was going to use on him, when the Konoha ninja's showed up.
"Spiderman, what are you doing, I thought you didn't kill people!" Neji shouted shocked.
Spiderman looked at Neji, hissed, then ran away.
"What happened?" Kiba asked.
Naruto woke up sore. "Damn it, did I call Choji fat again?"
"No Naruto, you got knocked out by the Beetle, and the suit took control of you." A voice said, clearly upset.
"Yeah that explains what happened last night." Naruto groaned, not recognizing the voice.
"Try two nights ago kit, it's Sunday." The voice said again.
Naruto turned to see he was in the sewer that was his mind, in none other than the realm of the nine tailed fox.
"What do you want?" Naruto demanded.
"You need to get rid of this suit, their something off about it, and I mean Orrochimaru bad." The fox ordered, a slight amount of fear was evidently in the titans tone.
"What are you talking about?" Naruto demanded.
"When you were knocked out, that thing, stole not only your chakra, but mine as well." The fox roared.
Naruto chuckled. "I don't believe it, your jealous."
"Kit, did you listen to a word I said!" The fox demanded.
"Yeah, the thing is, I don't need you anymore." Naruto said flatly, as his eyes turned completely black. The cage soon was being covered by black webbing.
"You can't do this, get rid of the suit." The nine tailed fox ordered, but it fell on deaf ears as Naruto turned and left. With that the cage was completely covered in black webbing.
With one final thought, the nine tailed fox said quietly. "Looks like I'll have to ask him for help."
Meanwhile on the far end of town, Sasuke was still tied up, as the three Konoha Shinobi waited for the ANBU to pick him up.
"This isn't fair, Spiderman must die at my hands." Sasuke fumed. As he did, his curse mark began to glow a sickly green color, as his eyes turned dull.
"We must reunite." He said in a monotone voice. Sasuke ripped off his bindings and ran.
"Uchiha, stop." Neji ordered. Tenten quickly activated the seal, causing Sasuke to collapse.
"Please tell me the ANBU are coming soon." Tenten asked shocked.
Happy Boxing Day everyone, this would have been a Christmas gift, but fanfic was down last night. Sorry this took so long. All the word files, with the exception of Rise of Legends chapter 3, on my flash drive became corrupted, so I had to restart this chapter from scratch, among others. For the next chapter, I'm going to pull a Batman tradition, a different villain than what the hero usually fights. Example: Batman TAS: Count Vertigo, The Batman: Ragdoll, Brave and the Bold: Mainly Gorilla Grodd. As to the Marvel Villain Spiderman will be going head to head with, let's just say: Hail HYDRA. Also, by popular demand, I will be doing some team up chapters with other Marvel heroes. Originally, I was going to do a sequel, but the public demands it. And yes Wolverine will be one of them.
