Kawa blinked as she woke up. She flinched as she looked over to see Elizabeth asleep in a hospital bed. Hospital? She blinked and turned her memory back to Envy and how he and his companion had attacked them. She tried to sit up, but her body was in pain.
"Are you awake?" Taki asked from Kawa's side.
"Yeah." She nodded. "What happened?"
"Al, those two who were protecting Ed, and I helped get you out. Ed is in the other room. Taki and you weren't as hurt as badly as Ed."
"Oh yeah…" Kawa nodded. "Have you checked on him lately?"
"Yeah. He was asleep last I checked."
"Uh….I feel like I was hit by a truck." Elizabeth grumbled from her bed. "What happened?"
"We were saved from lab five and brought here." Kawa looked over. "But it looks like our bodies are a little beat up."
"I blame that Envy guy!" Elizabeth grumbled.
"Huh?" Taki blinked. "Who is that?"
"It doesn't matter right now." Kawa slowly got up. "I'm going to go check on Ed."
"You should stay here." Taki frowned. "And lay down!"
"Fine." Kawa grumbled laying back down. "But I'm fine."
"We're both fine. Just a little bruised up." Elizabeth grumbled. "I don't see why we can't get up and go see the little midget."
"HEY!" The three girls looked over seeing Ed fuming in a wheelchair. Sergeant Brosh was bushing him. "WHO ARE YOU CALLING A SHRIMP!?"
"Oh speak of the little devil." Elizabeth chuckled.
Ed glared angrily at her. "WHY YOU!"
"Don't upset him right now Liz. He's injured and doesn't need to reinjure himself." Taki sighed.
"Alright, alright." Elizabeth shrugged. "So how are you feeling Ed?"
He grumbled a little. "I'm fine."
"That's good." Kawa smiled. "We were worried about you." She shifted so she was sitting up again.
"Kawa…" Taki sighed.
"I'm fine. If Ed can go out and about then I'm fine getting up." Kawa chuckled.
"I guess." Taki sighed. She sat back down, but didn't look happy.
"So how are you feeling?" Kawa asked.
"I'll be fine…. My arm isn't working very well right now." Ed said looking down at auto mail arm. "But Winry is on her way to take care of my arm."
"That's good." Kawa smiled.
Elizabeth nodded. "So you won't be able to do much with your arm broken, huh shrimp?"
"WHY YOU!" Ed started struggling as Brosh tried to hold him down. "WANNA FIGHT YOU CRAZY LADY?!"
"Liz." Kawa sighed.
Elizabeth just chuckled. "Sorry, I had to do it." She smiled innocently.
Kawa sighed but started laughing. "You two are so funny sometimes. Ed just calm down."
He grumbled but seemed to relax a little. "After I talk to Al, we'll have to talk about what happened in the laboratory number five." Ed frowned.
Kawa and Elizabeth nodded. "Yeah… And next time we meet up with those two we'll have to repay them." Elizabeth growled.
Kawa nodded. "Those two were freaky."
"What?" Taki asked. "What happened?"
"We'll explain later." Kawa said calmly. "Go ahead and go see Al. I'm sure he's worried about you."
Ed nodded. "Alright. I guess we'll talk later."
"Go ahead and see your brother." Kawa smiled slightly. Ed seemed to understand that Kawa was thinking about her own older brother.
"Alright. Come on; take me to go find Al." Ed told Brosh.
"Alright, I'll see you three women later." Brosh wheeled Ed out.
Kawa chuckled.
Elizabeth smiled once he was gone. "He can be so funny when he reacts to those little words."
"It's one of the things that makes Ed, Ed." Kawa smiled.
"So what happened in the lab?" Taki frowned. "Who are those people you were talking about?"
"We'll explain later." Kawa said calmly. "Any chance of some food?"
"Alright." Taki got up. "I'll go get you two some food. Stay in bed and don't move around too much."
"Alright." Kawa waved her hand weakly. "Go get some food please. And stop worrying about us so much."
Taki shock her head and then left. She wandered through the halls towards the cafeteria. "Stupid Kawa, why won't she tell me what happened?" She sighed. "She's too protective of me sometimes."
"Hello Taki." She turned to see Roy walking up towards her. "What are you doing here?"
"Kawa was injured… What are you doing here?" Taki asked.
"I heard from a little birdy that you were here, so I came in search of you." He smiled. "Since Kawa's going to be here for a while I guess you won't be going anywhere for a while, so why don't you come join me for dinner tonight?"
Taki frowned. "I'm not going on a date with you, you big idiot. Go find some other unsuspecting girl. I'm taking care of my sister and Elizabeth."
"Oh come on." Roy chuckled. "It would be fun."
"You're probably just hoping you can use me as an excuse to avoid work. No way. Now go away." She turned and started to walk off. "Good bye for now!"
Roy chuckled and shook his head.
Taki sighed to herself. That idiot…. Why did he ask me out? This isn't the first time either… Huh? No he's just an idiot. She grumbled to herself. "He's a big idiot."
