My brain hurts from playing a complex game right now, so here, the chapter!
Much of their honeymoon was like that, and two days after, Ryo woke to Kaiba shaking her. She opened her eyes and saw he was yelling, but had to read his lips to see what he was saying.
'Ryo, you wouldn't wake up. Are you okay?'
She nodded and sat up. She placed her hands over her ears and heaved a sigh. /Bakura, it's happened.\
/Well, should I call him to tell him, since I'm sure you'd sound off if you tried to speak?\\
/Yes please.\
She turned to Kaiba as he reached for his cell phone. She watched as he opened it, grumbling.
'What do you want, Bakura?'
He listened and his eyebrows furrowed.
'What do you mean? She seems fine to me.'
His eyes widened as he looked at her.
'She's deaf? When did you find out?!'
She turned away when he began yelling into the phone, not wanting to see how he'd break over this news. She hugged her knees and jumped when she felt his arms around her. He kissed her cheek and turned her head to look at him.
'Ryo, I won't abandon you. We'll get through this and it will get better. Do you know sign language?'
She nodded and began signing right away. 'I didn't think you'd learned.'
He grinned and signed back, 'You haven't learned everything about me.'
She beamed and hugged him, tears dripping down her cheeks.
/That's my cue to hang up and block you out.\\
Now we know about what Ryo wanted to talk about all this time! Don't kill me for doing this to her! It will be explained later on, promise!
