M = Meter
No, no, no! I ran further down the block, just a little closer! "Wait! Wait, please, I" I hunched over and gasped for breath (damn I was out of shape), "I'm here, I'm sorry, it won't happen again officer." I looked up, only to find a petite little girl staring down at me. Was she dressing up? Was this some kind of prank...? No way could the police force have taken some one so damn small...
She sighed and tightened her pigtails (very fitting if I had any say in the matter) before crossing her arms. Her green eyes bored into mine and I couldn't help but feel intimidated. I stood up straight, straightening out my suit and fixing the tie that whipped my face repeatedly as I ran downhill. She was still a whole head shorter than I was, yet her eyes only held confidence.
I felt a bit uncomfortable under her steady gaze but shook off the familiar feeling. "Please ma'am, you've got to understand, I was just running a bit late from - "
"A bit? Sir, do you honestly think one hour is a small amount of time?"
I gawked as she scoffed and tapped her foot impatiently. Why this little runt... Was she friggin Sassing me? I glared at her, which only made her stand up straighter. "What, are you on your fucking period?"
She stepped closer to me and jabbed a finger in my chest. "You are the reason why men in society will fail and the human population will die out - girls like men who think their brain is in their uterus."
All I could do was stare. Was this seriously happening? I'm fighting with a female cop in front of my car, her being so tiny and petite and then the fact that she still looked incredibly young for this job made the confrontation a bit more humiliating. I can't fucking believe that this was happening...
I sighed and straightened back up, closing my eyes and willing myself to calm down. I stared down at her again, and saw that she had done the same.
"Sir, I've been waiting here for an hour to give you a warning, trust me, I do give people chances," she said in a firm, calm tone. "I'm sorry, but even if you say you happened to be running late, an hour has passed and that should have told you to pick up the pace or at least pay the meter some more."
I scratched the back of my neck, something my mother always loathed. I chuckled and nodded. "Sorry for saying something so crass, just a hard day, I didn't mean to take it out on you."
She nodded in understanding and quickly wrote the note, handing it back to me. 45? For lateness? I shook my head, accepting it silently. I nodded and gave a tiny smile to the woman who gave me a soft pat on the shoulder.
Everything she did was all strangely familiar - the courage, the fierce look in her eyes, her kindness...
"Do I... know you from somewhere?"
She actually giggled, the one who was giving me death glares just a moment ago, giggled and said "Glad you finally remember me Soul. This is also a way to get back for all the fun you picked on me." She started walking away and I could just gape at her. "Plus, the guys and girls at the station like my pigtails, thank you very much!"
No way... How the hell did she... fill out like that?!
I just stood there, looking like an idiot as people continued to walk up and down the mildly busy street. Well. This has been... A fun day...
Police Officer, Maka Albarn, Maka chopping her victims to compliance. I chuckled at the thought and got in my car.

AN: Hello! My hiatus is a little over - this year has been quite hectic for me haha. I plan on continuing all of my stories, don't worry, and no, I'm not dead. I know this isn't cute or fluffy, but I just. The idea of Police Officer, Maka Albarn is just. So cute and right and yes. xD
I hoped you liked this! I might make a mini series just for her, but idk yet. I'll be posting up a bunch of one shots tonight to get back into the swing of things - so look out for that! :D
