A cute little story for you all. 3
It was one of the many trips to Planet Vegeta. Pan's friends and family were always welcomed with open arms and treated like royalty. Trunks was still sour about the way the one he loved was taken by him because of a mistake he made.
He couldn't rip them apart. The guilt was still settled in the pit of his stomach and on more than one occasion, he would find himself roaming the halls of the palace while he was supposed to be asleep in his quarters.
When he couldn't clear his mind, he decided he would work out in the training room instead. Training usually worked when other methods didn't. It took his mind off of his mistakes for even a little while and helped him in the long run.
When he arrived at the training room, he opened the door and heard someone say, "What's the big idea?"
It was the king himself… Great.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness. I didn't know you were in here. I'll leave you be."
The king turned to him, wiping sweat from his forehead. "Please, call me Vegeta. There is no need for formalities. A friend of Pan is a friend of mine."
Trunks rolled his eyes. "My issue is I don't want to be friends… You should have never met her in the first place. If it wasn't for me-"
"-She wouldn't be as happy as she was now, nor as strong." Vegeta walked closer to the dumbfounded boy, looking up at him with a serious expression.
"Pan found herself while she has been here. She figured out who she was, she had a purpose in this life. Her full potential has been discovered and she is complete. If it wasn't for you, none of this would have happened. I know you love her, and I'm sorry I took that away from you. But because you love her, you should try to move on. Find someone new. You'll have your happy ending."
Trunks couldn't believe what he was hearing. He let out a snicker. "It's odd hearing that come from a young version of my father… But thank you. I don't know how, but you made me feel a lot better. I wish it was someone other than you, though."
Vegeta smiled. "Things have a way of happening. You can have the room. I'm finished here so the room is all yours. But be sure to get some sleep at some point. There is a sparring match in the morning."
"I'll try. And thank you again."
Vegeta just nodded and went on his way.
Trunks shut the door and let out a sigh. He turned up the gravity and proceeded to do his normal training regimen. About an hour into it, there was a knock on the door. He stopped, grabbed a towel and turned off the gravity, opening the door.
"Yes?"
A young woman in the traditional pink saiyan armor stood in the doorway. Her hair was short and spiked off to the side, a few stray strands falling in her face. Her onyx eyes smiled with her lips as she leaned against the doorframe.
"Hey cutie. I'm usually here this time of night. Mind if I join you?"
A light blush crossed his cheeks and he took a minute before he opened the door wider to allow her inside. "O-Of course. Come on in."
Aww, wasn't that sweet? Thank you for reading!
