A/N: So we've finally reached to the part where Radagast appears! Everyone has been asking about him since the last chapter. I hope I do him justice and have him in character...but then again he's such an oddball it's hard to figure out which character he would be lol.

So sorry about the super super long wait. Life had gotten a little crazy for me since I last updated as well as had something happen in my family so I hope you all understand. Thank you all for either reviewing or sending me PM's letting me know that you still enjoy this story and want to see the rest of everyone's adventures. It helped me get back to writing this out sooner. If it wasn't for you guys, I'm sure there wouldn't be a Trail of Memories series lol.

Oh yeah would you guys like to see Donald, Goofy and King Mickey in this story as well?

So without further ado, here's the next chapter.

Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts or The Hobbit; I just own my OC's.

Enjoy!

Unique was a nice term to describe Radaghast the Brown, or at least that's what Hikari thought. Ankoku had a few other terms in mind, none of which were nice to say.

The appearance of Radaghast threw the keyblade gang a little off. After being with Gandalf for a while they automatically assumed that all wizards were like him and it appeared they were dead wrong. While Gandalf certainly gave off a mysterious vibe with him being a wizard, he also gave off this aura of importance and kept himself in line. Radaghast on the other hand just let himself go and appeared to be all over the place. Maybe it was the face that he lived out in the wilderness with no one but animals to keep him company or maybe this was how he was like in general. Either way, Radaghast the Brown was a very unique kind of wizard.

Gandalf looked slightly surprised to see the brown wizard out in this part of Middle-Earth. He never ventured far from Mirkwood, preferring to be deep within the woodland realm then be out in the open like this. If he was out here, then that meant something was going on.

"Radagast, what on earth are you doing here?"

Radagast looked relieved when he saw Gandalf. He had something serious on his mind and he knew only Gandlaf would know what was going on.

"I was looking for you, Gandalf. Somethings wrong, somethings terribly wrong" he said rather quickly.

Gandalf leaned in closer, wondering what has his old companion in such a state.

"Yes, what is is?" he asked.

Radagast was about to say what it was but stopped for a moment trying to remember what it was that he wanted to say.

"Oh just give me a moment. Oh I had a thought and now I've lost it. It was on the top of my tongue" he said.

He suddenly opened his mouth when he felt something move around and laughed a little when he realized what it was.

"Oh, it's not a thought at all. It's a silly old..."

He pulled out a stick insect out of his mouth and held up in his hand.

"Stick insect"

Gandalf looked a little disgusted at the scene, while everyone thought the brown wizard was insane.

"Ok, now I know this guy is batshit crazy" Ankoku said.

"Ankoku!" Hikari snapped.

"What? Like I'm the only one thinking that right now?" Ankoku retorted.

Radagast looked at the group when he heard the commotion and paled drastically when he saw the keyblade.

"Oh dear" he said.

"Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear"

Hikari tilted her head, wondering what got the wizard so bent out of shape so suddenly.

"Is something the matter, sir?" she asked.

Radagast suddenly went up to them, causing them to step back in retaliation. He picked up Sora's keyblade and looked at it with fear. It seemed he knew about the Keyblade like Gandalf did and knew what sort of power it wielded.

"This is bad, they can't be here" Radagast said.

"They're all in gave danger!"

Riku narrowed his eyes, not liking what this wizard was saying.

"What are you talking about?" he asked.

Radagast looked at the Keyblade group fearfully, knowing something that they didn't.

Gandalf sensed it as well and decided that it was time to find out what the Brown Wizard came here for.

"Let me talk to him and see what all the commotion is about" he said.

He steered Radagast away from he group and led him further into the woods where they would be out of hearing but were close enough to return to the group in case something came up.

"Alright, Radagast. What has brought you out of the woodland realm and put you into such a panic?" Gandalf asked.

Radagast gripped his staff and he recalled the scenes he had seen earlier that day.

"The greenwood is sick, Gandalf. A darkness has fallen over it" he explained.

"Nothing grows anymore, nothing good at least. The air is foul with decay. But worse are the webs"

The caught Gandalf's attention.

"Webs? What do you mean?"

Radagast shuddered as he recalled the foul creatures that crawled around his home.

"Spiders, Gandalf. Giant ones, some kind of spawn of Ungoliant, or I am not a wizard. I followed their trail..they came from Dol Guldur"

Gandalf paled at the mention of the place, knowing full well that dark things came from that place.

"Dol Guldur? The but old fortress is abandoned" he reasoned.

Radagast slowly shook his head, seriousness etched in his whimsical face.

"No Gandalf, it's not" he said.

"A dark power dwells in there...such as I have never felt before. It is the shadow of an ancient horror. One that can summon spirits...of the dead"

he gulped as he recalled seeing the foul creature that lurked in that awful place.

"I saw him, Gandalf from the darkness...a necromancer has come"

Gandalf bit into his pipe hard, almost causing the wood to splinter. The fact that Radagast would see such a creature would mean that what he feared was coming true.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

Radagast nodded.

"Most certainly. And that is why those children are in grave danger"

Gandalf raise an eyebrow. He had wondered why Radagast had freaked out when he saw the Keyblade but what did it have to do with the Necromancer?

"What do they have to do with what you saw?" he asked.

Radagast pulled out a wrapped object from he depths of his robes and gave it to Gandalf.

"Look at the blade" he said gravely.

The Grey wizard cautiously took the object and unwrapped it, revealing a dark, sinister sword. While the hilt looked like any normal sword of Middle-Earth, the blade was clearly not.

The color left the wizard's face when he viewed the object.

"That is not from the living...nor of this world" Radagast said seriously.

Gandalf quickly wrapped the sword up and hit it within his robes. If what Radagast had seen was true, then he was putting everyone in grave danger.

/

Bilbo strapped his new sword to his waist as he got his stuff together. He wanted to be as far away from these trolls as he possibly could and hoped Gandalf was finished talking to Radagast.

Just as he put his pack on he heard a rather loud howling sound. Everyone stopped what they were doing when they heard it. The Dwarves tensed when they heard it while the Keyblade wielders looked confused.

"Was that a wolf? I didn't think there would be any out here" Sora said.

"That sounded a little too loud for a wolf to make" Riku said slowly.

Bofur looked around, gripping his axe tightly.

"That wasn't a wolf" he said seriously.

"Well if that wasn't a wolf...then what the hell was that?" Ankoku asked as she summoned her Keyblade.

She got her answer when up near the ledge that Gandalf once stood a large canine like creature appeared before them and pounced on Bifur.

Thorin reacted quickly. slamming his blade into its neck while Kili shot at the second one that had sneaked up on his uncle. Thorin pulled his sword back, looking at the dead creature with disgust.

"Warg scouts" Thorin spat.

"Which means an Orc Pack is not far behind"

The color in Bilbo's face left.

"O-Orc pack?" he squeaked.

He was starting to change his mind about the trolls now.

Gandalf stormed over to Thorin, clearly angry with their current situation.

"Who did you tell about your quest beyond your kin?" he demanded.

"No one" Thorin said.

"Who did you tell?!"

"No one, I swear!" Thorin insisted.

Gandalf cursed under his breath as he looked around the forest.

"What in Durin's name is going on?" Thorin asked.

"You are being hunted" Gandalf said gravely.

Everyone panicked; they had thought no one knew of this quest but it seemed someone did and they wanted them dead.

"We need to get out of here" Dwalin said.

"We can't. We have no ponies, they bolted" Ori informed them.

Hikari looked at Ankoku hopefully.

"Do you think you can create a portal for all of us to get into?"

Ankoku shook her head seriously.

"It's too dangerous for them to travel through a pathway made of darkness. Plus I don't know the layout of this world and I could just be taking them from one danger and putting them into a different one"

"Well then what do we do? We can't outrun them" Sora said.

Radagast was the one who came to the rescue.

"I'll draw them off" he insisted.

Gandalf looked at his friend gravely.

"These are Gundabad Wargs, they'll outrun you" he said.

Radagast just smirked and pointed to his sleigh.

"These are Rhosgobel rabbits" he said. "I'd like to see them try"

Everyone looked at each other, debating if they should trust a wizard they didn't know.

"What choice do we have?" Riku said.

"If we stay here, we'll die"

It seemed that everyone's fate laid in the hands of a silly, topsy brown wizard.

/

The howls of the wargs rang through the air as the Orc pack surrounded the forest. They knew the dwarves were in there, trapped like prey with no way of getting out. They slowly got closer to the trees when Radagast shot out of the forest like a bullet.

His trusted rabbits ran around, keeping the Orcs away from the forest. The brown wizard laughed when he saw the Orc pack chasing after him.

"Come and get me!" he taunted.

The Orc leader shouted in his own language as he tried to catch this strange newcomer.

Back near the forest, Gandalf poked his head out from behind a large boulder. Thanks to Radagast's distraction they were able to get out of the forest without the Orcs seeing them. He could see the brown wizard running around the clearing, trying to keep the Rocs at that they were out of the forest they had to move fast.

"Quickly" he urged the group.

The company followed teh wizard, hoping that they would get to their next location fast. The clearing didn't have a lot of shelter to hide in save for a few large boulders, so they had to move fast.

As they ran, they kept a close eye on the Orc pack, making sure they were in the opposite direction as they were.

Hikari noticed something dark moving across the ground and realized that the Orcs weren't the only ones chasing after them. Summoning her Keyblade, she grabbed Bilbo's hand and gave it a squeeze.

"Bilbo, stay close to me no matter what" she ordered.

The Hobbit saw how serious she was as they ran and held her hand tightly. Despite the fear he was feeling at the moment he knew Hikari would keep him safe.

At one point, Radagast accidentally lead the Orc pack close to the group which caused everyone to run in the opposite direction.

"Where the hell are we going anyway?!" Ankoku asked.

"Never mind that at the moment. Just stick together!" Gandalf ordered as he lead them towards a large boulder.

The rock was big enough for all of them to hide and hopefully keep them out of sight of the Orcs. They caught their breaths when they reached their hiding spot. Running around with all of their stuff really took a lot out of them.

They stilled when they heard some pebbles move from above and slowly they looked up to see a Warg scout sniffing the area. It seemed that during the commotion, one of the Wargs caught their scent and followed it.

Bilbo gripped Hikari's hand, wondering how they would get out of this without being seen. To make matters worse a shadow Heartless sprung from the ground, clearly being drawn by all the hearts in the area. The Hobbit panicked and tugged at Hikari's arm to get her attention.

Hikari saw the Heartless and paled.

"Uh, guys?"

The rest finally saw the Heartless and realized they were trapped. If they attacked the Heartless then that would alert the Warg, causing them to be killed. But if they attacked the Warg first that would leave them open to the Heartless eating their hearts.

"What do we do?" Sora asked.

"I don't know but I don't like the way that Heartless is looking at us" Hikari said.

Riku narrowed his eyes when he noticed the Heartless wasn't looking at them but rather above them...where the Warg was.

"Shit'

The Warg spotted the Heartless and growled. It didn't what it was but it was dead. The Heartless had a similar thought and was the first to attack. Slithering up the boulder, it pounced on the Warg, causing both to fall to the ground in front of the company They watched in horror as the tiny creature of darkness plunged its clawed hand into the Warg's chest and ripped out its heart to eat.

No body said anything as they looked at the lifeless body.

"Did it kill it?" Kili managed to ask.

Hikari shook her head.

"No...worse"

One minute the Warg was still and then all of a sudden it twitched. Darkness coated it's body as it stood up. Glowing yellow eyes started back at them as the Heartless Warg bared its sharp teeth at them.

Ankoku reacted quickly, striking it down before it could harm them.

"Run!" Gandalf cried.

Everyone ran, knowing that the Orc pack had spotted them as well as the Heartless.

/

Howls echoed throughout the clearing as the company ran further. The more they ran from the enemy, the closer the enemy was coming. It got to the point where they were surrounded around the vast clearing.

Gandalf looked around trying to find a way to get them out of this while the company wondered how they would defeat Wargs and Heartless.

Riku came up with a plan and looked at his friends.

"Split up!" he ordered.

The Keyblade wielders nodded and ran in opposite sections of the clearning. Thorin looked at them as if they had gone mad. If his men were having trouble figuring out how they would get out of this what made these children so different?

"What in the world are you doing?!"

"Saving your asses, that's what" Ankoku said.

"Now sit back, Grumpy and watch how a Keyblade wielder fights"

/

Sora and Hikari ran near the west side of the clearing as the enemy got closer.

"Hey, Sora, do you still have your summoning stones?" Hikari asked.

Sora nodded as he pulled them out.

"Sure do, why?"

Hikari smirked as she went into Wisdom Mode.

"I think it's time to call out the big guy"

Sora caught on and pulled out a certain summoning stone.

"Let's do this!"

Hikari zipped forward as a group of Orcs charged at them. Coating her lips with a blizzard spell, she blew a kiss at them, freezing them to the ground. Some of the Heartless managed to get out of the ice but Sora was one step ahead of them.

Throwing his Keyblade in the air, a series of explosions occurred as none other than Genie of the Lamp appeared. Genie smiled brightly when he saw his two friends.

"Sora! Hikari!"

"Hey, Genie! Think you can give us a hand?" Sora asked.

Genie saw the commotion and cracked his fingers.

"One disappearing act coming right up!"

With a wave of his hand, the Orcs and Heartless disappeared. Satisfied with his work, he looked back at Sora and Hikari.

"There you go. Hopefully that'll keep you out of trouble for a while"

"Thanks Genie, you're a lifesaver" Hikari said.

Geinie smiled and gave them a wink.

"Hey, anything for a friend. If you're ever in trouble you know where to find me"

Just like he appeared, he vanished with a poof of smoke.

"That takes care of this area. Hopefully Riku and Ankoku are handling things on the other side" Sora said.

/

A Warg was thrown back as Riku brought Dark Shield after Dark Shield. Both he and Ankoku were near a cliff edge and it seemed the Orcs wanted to throw them off.

Ankoku slammed her Keyblade into a Warg's snout and dodged as an Orc tried to cut her head off.

"Great idea luring them over here. This gives them the better chance to kill us" Ankoku retorted.

Riku struck a Warg down with Dark Cannon as it charged at him.

"This is part of the plan. I just need you to hurry up and do your part"

"Oh really? And what could I possibly do?" Ankoku asked.

Riku gave her a rueful smile.

"Look where we are. I'm sure you can take these guys on a little trip" he said.

Ankoku caught on to what he was saying and smiled darkly. Holding up her hand, she summoned various dark portals around them, causing the Wargs and Orcs to run right into them. With another wave of her hand, she opened another portal over the cliff's edge and watched as the Orc pack ran out of it, only to fall to their deaths.

"It's fun tricking the bad guys" Ankoku said.

Riku rolled his eyes and ran back to the company, hoping that they were safe now that most of the Orc pack was gone.

/

Even with most of the enemy gone, there were still a few stragglers that kept creeping up on them. Kili tried shooting at them from afar while Throin attacked them as they got too close. Hikari cast spell after spell on the Heartless as they kept appearing.

Bilbo looked around realizing Gandalf was nowhere to be seen.

"Where's Gandalf?"

"The old cot abandoned us no doubt" Dwalin said as he slammed his hammer on an Orc's head.

The company formed a close circle as the Orcs closed in on them.

"Oh come on, enough already!" Sora complained.

"There's no end to them!" Ori cried.

Things were getting a little dicy for the company. They had no where to run, Gandalf was gone and the Orcs had them surrounded.

However, help always came to those in need and it came in the form of Hikari's pendant glowing. The sorceress pulled out her lucky charm, wondering what was going on with it. She got her answer when a beam of light sprang forth, forming a barrier around the company. The Orcs tried to get to them but they barrier kept them at bay.

Hikari grew annoyed, knowing who out the barrier up.

"Really?! You can't let me take care of a couple of Orcs by myself?!" she yelled at her pendant.

"Um, Miss Hikari, who are you yelling at?" Ori asked nervously.

Hikari just put her pendant away and crossed her arms.

"It's not fair" she grumbled.

Riku sweat dropped, knowing who put the barrier up.

'She'll let her fight Heartless and an evil organization but not a bunch of Orcs' he thought.

The company didn't get the chance to question what was going on when Gandalf appeared again. It seemed he found a pathway that was hidden within a group of rocks and saw where it lead.

"This way you fools!" he called.

Everyone quickly ran for the wizard, knowing the barrier wouldn't keep the Orcs at bay for long. Thorin made sure everyone made it within the pathway first before jumping in it himself. He wasn't going to let a bunch a kids show him up by keeping the company safe .

When everyone was safely within the passageway, they took the moment to catch their breath.

"That was a close one" Sora said.

"We're not out of danger yet. We don't know where this pathway leads" Riku said.

"Well I'm going back out the way we came. I say we go forward" Bofur said.

Faced with little choice they went further into the passageway, wondering where it would lead them.

"Do you think those Orcs will follow us?" Dori asked.

"I doubt it, with that barrier that's still up" Sora said.

"That was a good idea, Hikari"

"That wasn't me" Hikari grumbled.

Sora raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.

The sound of running water came to their ears as they grew closer towards an opening. As they reached the other side they were greeted to a sight that took their breaths away.

Resting on the side of a mountain stood before the most beautiful kingdom anyone had seen. There were no words to describe the scenery.

"The valley of Imladris" Gandalf said.

"In the common tongue it goes by another name"

"Rivendell" Bilbo breathed.

Gandalf nodded as he smiled.

"Here lies the last homely house east of the sea"

The company had finally reached Rivendell.

/

A/N: And there you have it! We're finally at Rivendell! I'm gonna have a lot of fun doing this section and I have a feeling there will be quite a few chapters for this section of the story (which I'm sure you guys won't mind lol) so what did you think of Genie's cameo? I wanted to pay tribute to Robin Williams (God rest his soul) because let's face it, we'll never have another friend like him. We'll be seeing Genie again soon so keep an eye out lol.

Sorry again for the late update but hopefully that won't happen again lol.

Please review and tell me what you think!
