By the time I returned to my room, I was dead beat and tired. "Whew... now that was a hard day's night," I said to myself. Just as I was preparing to take a shower, my Digivice beeped. I switched it to its regular mode and answered it. "This is Greg, come in." "Hi, Greg! This is Lily!" a cheerful voice came over the speaker. "Oh hi, Lily. I didn't see you at the arena today. Did you already do some sound checks?" "Yep, we did them this morning. Anyway, I've got some good news and some bad news." "What's the good news?" "Well... I better give you the bad news first. A group of Bullmon are turning the Sydney Cricket Ground into their own bullring." "Oh-kayyyyy, what's the good news?" "Well, we're over there! Yay! And we're waiting for you, so you better hur-ry!" There was something about the way she said that. Just then, Sadie's voice came over the speaker. "Yeah, that'd be right. We're at the Sydney Cricket Ground." "OK, we'll be there." I hung up, then quickly used my laptop to Mapquest a route to the cricket ground. The only question was, how were we going to get out of the hotel?
Chapter 11: La Noche de Los Bullmon
Greg
We met in Matt's room to plan our strategy. Thomas, being the master strategist, led off the plan. "I too received a call from Lily and Sadie. Based on what they told me, they're the only ones there. Therefore, I think three of us should be able to provide more than enough backup. I volunteer myself and Greg." "Now hold up, General Nerdstein. Don't I get a piece of the action?" Marcus cut in. "Based on that last mispronunciation of my surname, no you don't." The ponytailed hothead sprang up from Matt's bed and made his declaration. "And who are you to decide that? If I'm going, I'm going!"
"Oh shut up, Marcus, and let the man talk," Rika cut in. "Marcus can't be worse than Matt, as of late," Gatomon observed. "And what's that supposed to mean, Gatomon?" Matt shot back.
The argument continued until Kari pulled out her whistle from her pocket and blew it until she completely exhausted her lungs. It was absolutely deafening, and I didn't know whether she was trying to get our attention or do a spirometry test. She stopped to catch her breath, but her eyes said it all. "I've had just about enough of all of you! We're friends, and yet we're fighting over something stupid like this! It's just wrong!" She pointed to Matt. "You're jealous of T.K.!" She pointed to T.K. "You're trying to upstage your brother!" Then, she pointed to Marcus. "And you're antagonizing Thomas!" She threw the whistle on the bed. "Well I've had it!" she went on, her voice breaking. "If this is what fame does to friends like us, then I don't want any more part of it!" Then, she dropped onto the bed and started gently sobbing.
Matt stared at this scene, and it brought sadness to his face. He just shook his head, then spoke up. "I think you're right, Kari. I'm sorry we made you cry. Thomas, you take Marcus and Greg with you. I've got to have a heart-to-heart with T.K. We're going to settle this whole thing out." T.K. picked up the facially damp Kari from the bed and hugged her.
So, Thomas, Marcus, and I brought our Digimon back into our Digivices and took the elevator down from the 11th floor to the front lobby. We wore shades and tried to be casual about it. The front desk clerk didn't suspect a thing. I snapped my fingers at a steady beat, because I thought it would add to our vibe.
We sneaked out to a side alley, where we ran into a beggar who wanted a few dollars. I gave him a ¥1000 note. He looked at me strangely. "A thousand yen? You've got the wrong country, mate." "Technically, a thousand yen is worth $10.86. And Greg's being more than generous, although I can't imagine why. Now, you must keep quiet about this," Thomas politely directed. "Reckon! Thank you so much!" And the man went on his way.
Marcus looked around to make sure the coast was clear. "Good... nobody's looking at either way. I think... we're in the clear," he said. We switched our Digivices to their normal mode and then selected the "Suit Up" option. "Henshin!" I called as I pressed the icon. My DATS uniform layered onto my body digitally. The other two followed, and again we had to make some strategy. "Now, I know Raidramon can only fit one person. That means Marcus might have to hitch a ride with you, Thomas," I said. "How unfortunate," Thomas lamented.
Thomas and I quietly summoned our Digimon. "Gaomon, realize!" "Veemon, realize!" They appeared from the Digivices in bits of data, as Gaomon stood at attention. "Awaiting your orders, sir," he promptly said. Thomas took control. "Gaomon, we'll have to take Marcus with us to the Sydney Cricket Ground. Can you fit another person?" "I believe so, but if I may make a suggestion, perhaps we should take a taxi. It would arouse less suspicion." "Normally, that would be a good idea. However, we could get caught in traffic, and time is of the essence," Thomas countered. "Sir, yes, sir," the dog duly noted.
"Anyway, are you ready to go, Veemon?" I asked. "Yeah!" "Then let's do this!" I selected the DigiEgg of Friendship from the option menu, then pressed "OK". "DigiEgg of Friendship!" After that, I struck a pose. "DigiArmor Energize!" The energy transferred to Veemon as his sequence began. "Veemon Armor Digivolve to... Raidramon, the Storm of Friendship!"
Thomas flipped up the sensor on the Digivice, then held his right arm out and snapped his fingers. Suddenly, his right hand was surrounded by blue binary code. "DigiSoul..." He slanted his arm to a completely horizontal angle, then brought his glowing hand to the sensor "...CHARGE!" He then took his arm back to vertical and posed with it.
Gaomon became surrounded by data as he transformed. "Gaomon Digivolve To..." Sharp claws came out of his boxing gloves, which became bigger and more like front paws. His back feet were wrapped up and more like back paws, and his tail became bigger and curled up. His scarf expanded and his face mutated into something resembling a wolf. He had become a quadruped boxing wolf. "Gaogamon!"
Marcus jumped up on top of Gaogamon after Thomas and held on to the blonde's hips. I boarded Raidramon and we set off. Going through the streets of Sydney at night was amazing. I followed Gaogamon, because he could smell his way through anywhere. We made it down to Oxford Street for 2.4 kilometers of pure speed. "Highway to the danger zone, gonna take you right into the danger zone!" Raidramon sang at the top of his lungs. Gaogamon shot him a look of disdain.
We finally made it down Moore Park Road and into the grounds, jumping over the gates and going past Allianz Stadium until we reached the actual cricket ground, where we were met by Sadie and Lily. After we got off, our Digimon reverted back to their Rookie forms. "Took you two long enough," Sadie grunted with a smile. She led us to a side entrance that wasn't guarded.
When we entered the stadium, we were amazed at what we saw. 20 bull-like Digimon in armor were prancing around the field, while some were running into each other and behaving like bulls at a bullfight. "Bloody shame what they're doing to the infield, muddying it up," Sadie remarked. And the ringleader of them all was a humanoid Digimon wearing an outlandish outfit. Marcus looked him up on his Digimon Analyzer app and read it off. "Hmm... 'Matadormon, Ultimate level. A bloodsucking martial artist Digimon that performs a magnificent dance. He uses his fluttering garment to deceive the opponent, and when the opponent drops its guard from a glance at the soft-colored cloth, he falls upon them with the countless rapiers stocked on his arms.' Sounds like my kind of opponent." He brought his arm up and pressed a button on the side. "Agumon, realize!" Agumon came out of the Digivice, ready to fight.
Meanwhile, Lily became something like an anime fangirl as she rushed up towards Gaomon. "Awww, how cute!" she cooed. That just made Gaomon blush, although he tried to hide it well while the girl felt his fur and petted him on the head. "Um, sir... a, little help, please?" he asked. "Oh..." The girl backed away. "Sorry." "Maybe some other time," the dog politely offered.
Just then, a Bullmon rushed toward us, so we jumped behind a fence into the stands. "So, when do we go in?" I asked. Marcus didn't bother. "It's fightin' time!" he cried as he jumped over the fence and rushed towards a Bullmon, trying to grab it by the horns. The two went toe to toe as Marcus took off his jacket, waving it. Agumon followed close behind. "Eh, toro, toro!" Marcus taunted. As the bull-like Digimon rushed towards him, its head got covered. Marcus ignited his DigiSoul, then punched the bull in the head, knocking it out. "Let's go, Agumon!" he ordered. "Right, Boss!"
Marcus flipped out the sensor on his Digivice, then reignited his DigiSoul. "DigiSoul..." With one quick motion, he slid his hand down the mounted arm, making sure to hit the sensor. "...CHARGE!" The energy hit Agumon as his sequence began.
"Agumon Digivolve to..." Agumon's Digivolution looked like what I expected. Sure, his head covering was much darker and the spike on his head was bigger, but it was Greymon. "GeoGreymon!"
The rest of us grabbed a seat until we were ready. "I guess they had to add a Geo to his name to differentiate him from Tai's Greymon," I reckoned. Veemon eagerly tapped me on the shoulder, so I turned to him. "Greg! Don'tcha think it's our turn to get in there?" he asked. I nodded. "You bet! We can't let Marcus have all the fun." My partner jumped over the fence and started running bravely into the fray. I stood up and joined him. "All right, here we go!" I stood with my two feet apart, equally balancing the weight. I flipped up the sensor on the Digivice, then thrust my open right hand to the side, allowing the DigiSoul to ignite. "DigiSoul..." I brought my hand back in and slid it across the device. "Charge!" I then struck what I thought was a defining pose as the energy transferred to my partner.
"Veemon Digivolve to..." His hands became bigger with 5 claws on each hand. His feet and tail expanded as well. He lost the yellow V on his forehead, but he gained a blue V on his chest. His ears straightened out and became coated in stainless steel, as did the horn on his head. "Rrrraagh... Veedramon!" I stared in awe at my partner.
The dragon Digimon met up with the dinosaur Digimon and the two stared each other down. They liked what they saw, and hit it off well, becoming a powerhouse team. Thomas Digivolved Gaomon to Gaogamon. Now all that was left were the two girls.
"So, ladies, care to show us what you've got?" Marcus asked. Sadie let out a big, confident smile. "You bet!"
She went first as she unfolded her arms and held out her left hand, staring with steely aqua eyes as what looked like a circular barcode formed around her fingers. She whipped out her Digivice and scanned this code. She called out, "Execute! Spirit Evolution!" From what I could see, her body blacked out as armor merged with it. The reason I say it was blacked out was because it went black. If you were looking, you couldn't see her flesh. She transformed into a tall, curvaceous humanoid fox with lavender fur, long violet hair down to her elbows in thick layers, three dark-purple whiskers tattooed on each cheek and a long tail with a darker-purple tip. She wore a magenta puffed-sleeved dress that ended ankle-length with a long silt on each side over a tight dark-green bodysuit that covered her entire body except for her head and fingers. A dark-purple cape was strapped to her shoulders with emeralds, which could come in handy in this fight. A black corset, with her Spirit symbol on the front, wrapped over her stomach. She had stainless steel plates covering her arms, knees, and hips, and thigh-high magenta boots with steel soles. A steel tiara settled on her forehead with a diamond-shaped emerald in the middle, and a grand steel sword with a handle in shape of a fox smiling slyly and decorated with emeralds, hanging from a sheath around her waist. In other words, she looked like she could've been Renamon's RPG cosplaying cousin.
The now transformed Sadie jumped down on her platform, squatted down and leaped up. She swung, threw, and caught her sword with expert precision and finished with a sweep across the view. She posed with her hips cocked femininely, legs apart, elbows and shoulders up, both hands gripped on her sword's handle and pointing the blade up. Let's face it, she had the fox warrior princess thing down to a T. "Vulpemon!"
Lily was next. She waved her left hand out with poise as she watched a ring of data form around her fingers. Then she swiped the ring of data with her D-Tector. "Execute! Spirit Evolution!" she yelled with a cheer. Her body blacked out as she gained a dress and a very different body. When she was done, this new Digimon surfed down on a board to her platform and fell flat, turning into a puddle. Then the water swirled gracefully and she quickly reformed while spinning and slowly stopped in a classical ballerina position, standing on pointe with her other leg up and arms out in a spread eagle. "Namimon!"
Thomas
Namimon was a humanoid penguin Digimon whose style and design were based off of a female penguin in a failed Don Bluth animated film. The back of Namimon's head, back, and her flippers were black. She had a pale white underbelly, and checks. She had rosy pink blush on her cheeks, a purple forehead, and short flippers puffed out like a tutu with small fuchsia-pink stripes. She was accessorizing with a light-pink choker with a gold pendant in the style of a penguin's head with her Spirit symbol in the center. She was also sporting a pink flower, with two green leaves, and a pink berry coming off of it on the corner of her head. It beautifully accentuated her bright purple eye lids, orange beak with dark orange tip, and green eyes. Not only was she beautiful, but she was a surfer too, as she carried a fuchsia-pink board on her arm, or fin. What a penguin would do with a surfboard is beyond me.
I jumped on Gaogamon and we rode into action. We caused enough of a disturbance to arouse the attention of the matador apparent, who spoke with a general deep Southwestern accent reminiscent of Edward James Olmos. "Ah, hello there. So, I see you humans have brought a penguin, a fox with too much metal, a dragon, a brainless T-rex, and un perro gigante con boxing gloves." Vulpemon brandished her sword. "At least you can see my sword," she said. Then, she rushed towards Matadormon. "Steel Rush!" Vulpemon sped up then slashed away at him, but he countered by unleashing the rapiers stocked on his arms. "Thousand Arrow!" The fox warrior princess countered again. "You fool. Don't you realize I'm an Ultimate-level?" he taunted. "Doesn't matter."
Meanwhile, Veedramon, GeoGreymon, and Gaogamon helped clear away the herd of Bullmon. "Cutting Shoot!" Veedramon uses his claws to create multiple flying blades of wind. "Spiral Blow!" Gaogamon shot a tornado from his mouth. "Mega Volcano!" GeoGreymon breathed out a huge fireball and caused an explosion of large proportions. That took out most of the Bullmon.
Matt
We sat down facing each other at my table, and I led the conversation. Kari listened in while sitting on my bed. "T.K., I bet you're wondering why I've been so... eager to screw you over lately. It's because... it's just because..." "You're jealous?" T.K. asked. "Yes, that's it. It all started with that first appearance on Music Station. Tamori seemed so much more interested in you than in me. Don't get me wrong, bro, you've got talent. And I love that about you. I'd love you regardless of that. I just felt left out, that's all. It just feels like you're upstaging me. This is my band, but you're becoming the face of it, and I hate that. It feels like you're pushing me out of the picture."
T.K. stared at me, filled with concern and brotherly love. "Matt, I would never do that to you. I know this is your band, and you're the one who invited me to join. I've never forgotten that. I've never said anything but good things about you to the press and to the public, and I'd never try to upstage you to get ahead. I'm sorry. Will you forgive me?"
I thought long and hard about it, but ultimately made my decision. "That's all I needed to hear." We got up from our chairs and fistbumped, then reviewed our setlist for the concert.
Thomas
Matadormon had, by extreme stratagem, pinned Vulpemon's cape against a billboard so securely, she couldn't move. She separated herself from her cape, so he went even closer: her dress. "Bugger," Vulpemon sighed. Soon, she was held against the billboard, and there wasn't anything she could do about it. Matadormon sadistically toyed with her with his blades. That set Namimon off, and she would've rushed in sooner, but a spare Bullmon had spotted her and charged towards her with its horns out. "Aqua Armor!" She dodged Bullmon's attack by transforming into a puddle, then reverting back to her solid form once it had stomped away.
She found the sprinkler system and turned it on. Then, she flew away on her surfboard on a mini-wave, landing with a perfect ballet pose on top of Matadormon. She then jumped back on the board and slammed it back and forth against the matador's face. Then, she flew back, and jumped off, landing with another perfect pose. I'd have given her a 9.8. "Wave Cannon!" She waved her fins elegantly, transforming the water from the sprinkler system into waves. She then launched the waves on Matadormon, all the while standing en pointe on a watery pillar.
That distraction allowed Vulpemon to rip off part of her dress and grab her sword. She ran back a safe distance, then charged up her metal plates. "GRAND METAL SLAM!" The steel plates on her body glowed as energy gathered on them. In an instant, she glowed in bright white and handled the matador by force, jumping, kicking, and slashing until she was easily victorious.
Greg
When the fight had finished, the enemy Bullmon were reverted to DigiEggs, Matadormon had run with his cloth between his legs, and the Sydney Cricket Ground was in complete shambles. Overall, a job well done. Vulpemon put away her sword, then crouched in a three-point recovery position. She reverted back to Sadie, who was breathing heavily. Namimon bounced up and down, reverting back to Lily, who was cheering with joy. "Yay! We won! We won!" Our Digimon reverted back to their Rookie forms and joined us as we walked back to the two girls. "Are you OK, ladies?" I asked. Lily eagerly nodded, while Sadie responded with a simple "Ace!"
We helped them up, brought our Digimon back into their Digivices, and changed back into our normal clothes. Then, we walked out so nobody could see us. We were stopped by one of the groundskeepers, who was very anxious about what had just happened. He even threatened to press charges, but we convinced him not to.
Meanwhile, a young woman, dressed in a black spandex/leather bodysuit, secretly maneuvers herself around the Cricket Ground, and out to behind the stadium. She examines the video she's taken on her cell phone, then uses it to call someone. Her accent is a light Russian, cold yet professional. "This is Agent X-Y-Z. I have gathered some reconnaissance on DATS agents and am now uploading video to FSB's secure database." After a momentary pause, an older, male Russian accented voice replies. "Well done, Major. Now, what can you report about the further whereabouts of the band?" "You mean the cover operation? Very well. They plan on spending the next six nights in Sydney, then they move to Melbourne for a two-night affair. There is one day I've noticed they've taken off." "And which one is that, Agent X-Y-Z?" "The 14th. Valentine's Day." "Good. Find one of the members, divide, and conquer. I trust you'll have no difficulty." "Exactly. Lalamon and I should have no difficulty at all." "Very well. Good luck." She signs off.
Greg
Thomas called a taxi and we rode back to The Westin Sydney. By the time we returned, it was nearly midnight. We went back into Matt's room to give him the status report. He seemed happy enough.
After getting eight hours of sleep, we spent most of the next day preparing for the concert, which started at 8:00 PM. We told each other to break a leg, and then PurityxSpirited went up first on stage. They owned it that night with an opener of "If She Knew What She Wants", followed by their biggest hit, "I'll Set You Free". Then, they tossed it to us, and we did our full setlist. Our Australian leg was sponsored by Big W, a discount department store like Target or Wal-Mart in the States, and McDonald's.
Our first night was a smashing success. If only our second and third nights could be described the same way. On the second night, the audio technicians fell asleep at the wheel, and T.K. came down with a sore throat on the third night. I ended up singing lead on his songs.
We took Valentine's Day off, and Matt enjoyed it the most. Kazuki had flown Sora in, and she, Matt, Kari, and T.K. enjoyed dinner at Darling Harbour and a show at the Sydney Opera House. As for me, I just wandered around the streets of Sydney all day, taking in the sights.
I decided to order a pizza for dinner and have it delivered to my room for Veemon and me to share. The only thing is, instead of a standard pizza delivery guy coming to my door, I was handed my order by this beautiful, seductive woman with blonde hair and a delivery guy's uniform that obviously didn't accomidate her figure. "One Hawaiian Deluxe pizza with extra garlic sauce," she breathed out in a Russian accent. Then, she joined me inside, shut the door, and locked it.
She set the pizza on the table, then started walking towards me. I backed up into the direction of the bed, and ended up on my back, while she took off her polo shirt. "Oh, great, another woman throwing her shirt at my feet. Every other man would kill for this to happen, but not me," I muttered to myself. "Should I take care of her?" Veemon offered in a loud whisper.
That only caught the girl's attention. "Aha! So you are the person I'm looking for. You have a Digimon," she purred. Then, she stood up, pulled out a handheld device from her pocket, and posed with it. My eyebrows went way up. "Is that supposed to be a Digivice?" I asked in surprise. She nodded, keeping that smile on her face. "Lalamon, realize!" she called. Out of the Digivice came a pink-and-green flower bud Digimon, with an expressionless face.
"Allow me to introduce myself. Major Anya Rădulescu, Digital Division of the Federal'naya sluzhba bezopasnosti Rossiyskoy Federatsii. I have done my research on your band, and have determined that you were the least likely to go somewhere on a date for St. Valentine's Day." "But how did you know I was in this room?" "I am what you call a hacker." "Of course. Russian spy, hacker, figures. Now, Major..." I started. "Anya. We are on the same side," the major insisted. "We are?" "Yes. Unless of course, you are working for Lord Bagra as a double-agent." "No, no! Of course not! All right, Anya. Now, I've seen a few James Bond movies in my day. I know how this is going to work. First, you're going to try to seduce me to get some information. After you reach orgasm, you'll kill me. Well, I'm beating you to the punch. I am saving myself for marriage." She looked shocked at that. "That's right, sister, so you can keep your pants on, because you're not getting into mine. I'd actually like to be in a relationship with the woman I f-" "That will be quite enough out of you, Gregory Logan," Anya sharply cut me off. "Boy, you don't fool around. So, what do we do now?" I asked. She opened the box of pizza and offered me a slice. "We talk and eat. I have already paid for it," she said. A big smile came over my face. "My kind of woman," I responded.
Throughout our meal, I learned a lot about her. She was 19 years old but was very intelligent. The FSK looked through all their country's best students and picked her to be in the Digital Division soon after the incident with MaloMyotismon. She rose through the ranks quickly to become a major. She was quite an interesting character, but pretty nice. "Oh, and have I mentioned I play saxophone?" she added. "Saxophone? Interesting. How many years have you played?" I asked. "Seven." "Seven years, wow, I've been playing electric guitar for six. Did you bring it with you?" "No, I did not. But that is unimportant for now. I will join your group later, perhaps in Europe. I must ask that you do not mention me just yet to the others. All will be explained in time." "But you're definitely on our side, right?" "Of course I am." She put her shirt back on and Lalamon went back inside her Digivice. She unlocked the door, and opened it. "Farewell, and thank you for the meal," she said with a sly smile. Then, she left. Both Veemon and I were left speechless by that.
["Damn! I Wish I Was Your Lover"
Written by Sophie B. Hawkins
Performed by The Teenage Wolves
Lead Singer: Rika Nonaka (Melissa Fahn)]
This is footage from their fourth appearance at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. As the song starts up, Matt steps to the side. "All right, Sydney! Now, we've got a friend of ours in the band, and her name is Rika! She's got a special message for the boys tonight!" he calls. The camera shifts to Rika, who is grooving by her keyboard. However, make no mistake, the instrumentation is more alt rock than adult contemporary.
Rika:
That old dog has chained you up, alright
Give you everything you need to live inside a twisted cage
Sleep beside an empty rage
I had a dream I was your hero
Damn, I wish I was your lover
I'd rock you 'til the daylight comes
Made sure you are smiling and warm
I am everything, tonight, I'll be your mother
I'll do such things to ease your pain
Free your mind, and you won't feel ashamed
Marcus starts up on his drums, and the crowd starts rocking. We get shots of the band.
Rika:
Open up on the inside
Gonna fill you up, gonna make you cry
This monkey can't stand to see you black and blue
I give you something sweet each time you come inside my jungle book
Or is it just too good?
Don't say you'll stay, 'cause then you go away
Damn, I wish I was your lover
I'd rock you 'til the daylight comes
Made sure you are smiling and warm
I am everything, tonight, I'll be your mother
I'll do such things to ease your pain
Free your mind, and you won't feel ashamed
Shucks, for me there is no other
You're the only shoe that fits
I can't imagine I'll grow out of it
Damn, I wish I was your lover (Kari: oh, yeah)
If I was your girl, believe me
I'd turn on the Rolling Stones
We could groove along and feel much better (Kari: guess what)
Come, let me in, mm
I could do it forever and ever and ever and ever
Give me an hour to kiss you
Walk through Heaven's door I'm sure
We don't need no doctor to feel much better
Let me in, oh
Forever and ever and ever and ever and ever
She plays the introduction to the verse, but pauses in the song to give directions. "All right, you guys out there. This is what we call audience participation." The audience cheers. "I'm gonna sing this verse here and when I point to you, you start singing the chorus. Then, I'll join in and we can sing it together. Sound good?" The audience cheers. "Allllllll right, here we goooooo!"
Rika:
I sat on a mountainside with peace of mind
And I lay by the ocean making love to her with visions clear
Walked for days with no one near
And I return as chained and bound to you
She points to the members of the audience, who starts singing the chorus.
Sydney Audience:
Damn, I wish I was your lover
I'd rock you 'til the daylight comes
Made sure you are smiling and warm
I am everything, tonight, I'll be your mother
I'll do such things to ease your pain
Free your mind, and you won't feel ashamed
Rika joins in as the song gets back on track.
Rika/Sydney Audience:
Damn, I wish I was your lover
I'd rock you 'til the daylight comes
Made sure you are smiling and warm
I am everything, tonight, I'll be your mother
I'll do such things to ease your pain
Free your mind, and you won't feel ashamed
Shucks, for me there is no other
You're the only shoe that fits
I can't imagine I'll grow out of it
Damn, I wish I was your lover
Rika:
I wanna open up, I'm gonna come inside
I wanna fill you up, I wanna make you cry
Damn, I wish I was your lover
Gettin' on a subway, and I'm comin' uptown
Damn, I wish I was your lover
Standing on the street corner, waiting for my love to change
Damn, I wish I was your lover
And I'm feelin' like a school boy, too shy and too young, oh
Damn, I wish I was your lover
I wanna open up, I'm gonna come inside
I wanna fill you up, I wanna make you cry
Damn, I wish I was your lover
I'm gettin' on my camel, and I'll ride it uptown, oo
Damn, I wish I was your lover
Hanging around this jungle, wishing that this love would change
The audience loudly cheers.
Author's Notes:
Yes, Anya is back. This time, I tried to base her more off her namesake, Major Anya Amasova from The Spy Who Loved Me (the movie, not the actual Ian Fleming novel). Well, maybe Barbara Bach's character doesn't play saxophone, but you've got to fit in somewhere in a band.
A lot of the actions/descriptions of the Pure Spirits are based off of, if not directly copied from, IrishDreamer4's works. They are her OCs, I'm just trying to bring them into my fanfic because The Teenage Wolves need a good opening act. I invite her to use my OCs in her works. Just let me know first, alright?
During the chase down to the Cricket Ground, I originally had Greg and Raidramon sing "The F.U.N. Song" from Spongebob, but decided against it.
