Salut losers,

So clearly you caught on to my bluff about not writing if you don't review. Huge thanks to PerAnkh for reviewing in spite of that, I think you're awesome :)

Other than that, I'm mad at all of you.

Thank you to my editor for...uhh..editing.

And...here's the next chapter, even though a good majority of you don't actually deserve it.

REVIEW!

- Ana

It was four o'clock in the afternoon when Nikita and Castle had finally left the flat and decided to take a stroll around muggle London. Despite the foggy weather which already made things rather difficult to see, Castle had insisted that they wear hats and sunglasses to 'disguise' their appearance from the muggles on the street. After a good half an hour of swearing and bumping into streetlamps, Nikita was fed up, and decided to do something about it.

"You can take off that ridiculous attire now, Castle," Nikita stated proudly as she placed her wand back in her purse.

When he didn't respond, she looked up to find him staring at her with his highest-grade tinted sunglasses.

"What do you think you're doing, put your glasses back on before somebody recognises us!" he demanded.

Nikita sighed.

"I cast a disillusionment charm on us, nobody can see that it's you," she explained, a touch of annoyance creeping into her tone.

Nikita could feel Castle's eyes on her as they continued slowly down the sidewalk, until she finally turned and punched his shoulder lightly.

"What if it's not strong enough?" he asked petulantly. "The last thing I need right now is to be ambushed by a hoard of women of all sorts and ages!"

Nikita snorted out of amusement at his commentary, despite the fact that Castle's paranoia was increasingly getting on her nerves with every passing second.

"Please, I bet not a single woman would look at you if I took off that charm right now, don't be so pigheaded."

"I will have you know, I attract a lot of attention," he stated proudly, puffing out his chest and squaring his shoulders for emphasis. Nikita almost drooled at the sight of his muscles rolling back and forth under his shirt, but somehow managed to tear her eyes away from them.

"Your head is simply too big to ignore," she told him sweetly, keeping her eyes fixed firmly on the street in front of her. "And I'm known for my disillusionment charms, we won't be seen."

Nikita couldn't help but turn her head slightly, to faintly see Castle's eyes narrow behind his sunglasses as he pondered her words.

"Fine," he said at last, "but if the charm wears off and somebody sees us, you'll have hell to pay."

Without really thinking much of it, Nikita reached over and grabbed the middle of Rick's sunglasses in an attempt to pull them off his face. His brilliant blue eyes stared at her and she could hear him suck in a rapid breath as his hand caught her wrist.

"Let me," he said tightly, pushing her hand away in one swift motion.

He took a step back, and a pang of disappointment washed over her as she looked away from him, pretending to be carefully examining the lone pedestrian going about his daily business a block away.

It took her a moment to compose her face into a neutral expression. Quickly pushing her emotions aside, she shrugged and retrieved her hand.

"Alright then, whatever you say," Nikita said in the most casual voice she could manage.

Once the sunglasses were finally removed and were hanging off the top of his shirt, Castle resumed his step confidently. Nikita trailed slightly behind as she took out her wand and re-cast the charm over the two of them, immediately feeling the magic trickling down her body like a stream of water.

"Wait up!" she called out, shoving the wand back in her pocket and jogging to catch up to him.

He stopped for a moment and fell into step with her once she'd reached him.

"That way," he pointed towards the opposite end of the street, where a set of shops stood side by side.

"Where are we even going?" questioned Nikita.

"I need to pick something up," explained Castle offhandedly.

They crossed the street briskly, and came to a stop in front of a shop entrance. The front of the shop was a slightly faded red brick wall with white trim around the large glass window. However, Nikita couldn't tell what the inside was since the glass was tinted. It also didn't help that whatever store this was had painted a large golden-brown circle with small ridged edges which made it difficult to view anything through the window.

"Just don't tell my mother, alright?" pleaded Castle quietly, staring down at Nikita with an innocent expression, his gaze flickering from the door and then back to her.

"What are you doing, buying drugs?"

He rolled his eyes and let out an exaggerated sigh of mock impatience.

"Selling drugs?!"

"You'll see."

Castle pulled the handle of the door towards him, and the moment Nikita stepped inside, she suddenly understood why Martha would disapprove of the place.

The shop seemed much smaller from the inside than it had appeared on the outside, but it only made sense, as the room was filled from floor to ceiling with shelves. Shelves, which were fully stocked with all sorts of colorfully wrapped sweets. It distantly resembled a Wizarding shop, except it was unmistakably muggle, as Nikita couldn't find a single familiar candy.

She glanced over at Castle, who resembled exactly what he was at the moment: a kid inside a sweetshop. He glanced back at her.

"Welcome," he said in a hushed tone, as if the shelves could hear him, "to the Reese Factory."

###

Almost a full hour later the two of them emerged from the shop, Castle laden with bags and boxes filled to the brim with variations of Reese chocolate, and Nikita with a single box of Reese's Pieces inside her pocket which she had accepted at Rick's insistence, and was fully intending to lose at the earliest possible convenience.

"I still don't understand why you spent so much time trying to pick between the white and milk chocolate if you ended up getting both of them anyway," grumbled Nikita.

Castle winked at her.

"Ah, but it's all part of the fun," he declared proudly.

"Fun?" Nikita pulled a face.

"Don't be such a killjoy, Auror Morar. I went to your job with you, now you have to go candy shopping with me."

"You are my job," she insisted. "I can't believe Dan is making me do this. I'm an auror, for Merlin's sake, and instead of solving murders like I should be doing, I have to spend my days waiting for you to figure out if you want ten boxes of Reese or twelve-and-a-half boxes of Reese! And I don't even know what the fuck I'm guarding you against, as it's clearly not diabetes!"

She closed her eyes and collapsed onto the bench outside the shop.

"You don't?"

She opened one eye to find Castle staring at her in wonder, a bar of Reese stuck in between his teeth.

She sighed and shook her head.

"No, I really don't."

The Reese fell out of Castle's mouth, staining the front of his shirt and Nikita automatically eliminated the chocolate stain with a non-verbal scourgify.

Castle was still staring at her as she placed her wand back in her pocket, and she felt almost nervous under his scrutiny.

"You mean to say your precious Captain assigned you a task without explaining what it was all about? That's like having to describe a person you've never seen or heard of before!" Castle continued, a note of disbelief evident in his voice.

Nikita glared at the man beside her, but she couldn't deny that he was right. She had no idea what she was guarding him against, and it drove her mad.

"Dan is just...cautious," she explained carefully, "at times even too cautious."

"That's no excuse to keep his friends in the dark about things like that!" exclaimed Castle, wiping his chin of the now-scourgified leftover chocolate.

Nikita gave a small chuckle at his words.

"I really wouldn't say that Dan and I are friends," she attempted to keep the sadness out of her voice, but apparently failed miserably because the next moment she felt Castle's arm situate itself around her shoulder. She leaned into him slightly and sighed.

"You really like him, don't you?" he asked quietly.

Nikita shook her head.

"No," she denied. "Well, not anymore," she corrected herself.

Castle gave a quiet hum of understanding, but didn't question further.

Nikita felt helpless as more words formed at the tip of her tongue and began to spill out without her permission.

"It's just sad that we spent six years at the same bloody school, constantly interacting with one another, and we never actually became friends. He seems to get along fine with Ryan and Travis, and even Ana, so why not me?"

"Were you all in the same house?" interrupted Castle gently.

"No," she replied, "Ryan and Travis were Gryffindors, Vanessa a Hufflepuff, and Ana, Katie, and Dan had been Slytherins."

She trailed off as she watched storm clouds begin to form in the distance.

"And you?"

"What?" she looked up at him, confused.

"What house were you in?" he repeated.

"Oh. Ravenclaw."

Castle chuckled.

"You lot are a very diverse group. It's hard to believe that you somehow became best friends with all these people."

Nikita shrugged.

"We sort of completed one another I guess," she reflected.

"I was in Gryffindor," said Castle.

Nikita grinned.

"I know, I looked through your yearbook," she informed him.

Castle's eyes widened. "Hogwarts has yearbooks?!"

"I was surprised too."

He smiled lightly and his blue eyes gave off a sparkle.

"What I mean to say is that you're really a miracle worker, Auror Morar. It's really rare to see people from different houses coexisting so effortlessly with one another, and the fact that one person may not be your friend pales in comparison to all the other friends you've acquired over the years. I mean, look at us – a Gryffindor and a Ravenclaw with seven years between them sitting on the same bench, having become friends within a span of just a few weeks."

"Friends," echoed Nikita thoughtfully. "Sounds like a good word to me."

"It really does, doesn't it?" replied Castle, grinning widely. "Now what do you say we dump this chocolate somewhere safe and go get us some hotdogs?"

Nikita scrunched up her eyebrows in confusion.

"Hotdogs? Why would we eat dogs?"

Castle sighed dramatically and patted her on the shoulder.

"You have much to learn, my young padawan."

"Padawan?"

"Oh, shut up!"
