I entered the kitchen, seeing Itsuka sitting there with a mug in her hand.
"Couldn't sleep either?" She asked as she took a drink.
"... No. Nightmares." I answered as I sat beside her... she handed me a mug. "
"Hot chocolate. Izuku made it earlier when I came down. He said whenever she made Eri hot chocolate it helped her sleep better. So he made us a pot and told us to get more if we wanted." Itsuka explained.
I nodded and took the warm mug from her hand.
"So what did you dream about?" Itsuka asked.
"... I dreamed about what those... horrible people said to me." I said, "T-They said... that I was asking for it because of how I dressed. A-And I-I think they're right. B-Because I dressed like this it happened."

"... I've been thinking about what Midoriya told us." Itsuka said as she took another sip of her hot chocolate. "To suffer so much... on his birthday on all days. A day of happiness and celebrating... being alive, being born. Only to view it as a day full of... pain."
"Almost makes what we've gone through feel like nothi-"

"Gah!" We turned to see Midoriya standing in the doorway, "M-Midoriya-"
"What you've gone through wasn't nothing, and it shouldn't be compared to what I've gone through." He said walking towards us, "You were hurt by the lowest of the low. Just because I've been hurt many times over doesn't mean your pain doesn't exist."
"B-But you-"
"Have had years to move on." He said... before taking a seat, "Let me tell you something I've learned when I was 4... when this all started. The only people who's actions you can actively control is your own. Just because you are wearing a costume that exposes skin for Quirk use doesn't mean you 'Asked for it' or 'Want it'. That's just a way for them to justify their actions. It's low and desparate... like their actions. You are in no way to blame for what they did because you had no way in stopping their actions."
"But we could have!" I yelled, "I-I could have stopped them. I could have fought back... but... I couldn't. I-I was too scared. I... I caused that to happen!"

"This is something I learned far after... those events. Something I wish I had learned then, I learned that fear is a natural human emotion. Fear is what keeps us alive. Because had you not had fear then you wouldn't have backed away from them. And the fear in MY heart was what made me rush after you two in the first place. And besides you didn't know what their Quirks were until it was too late."
"But us backing away did nothing." Itsuka voiced in.
"... Yes it did." Midoriya said, "Since you two backed up it... gave them a sense of power. That power went to their heads making them talk down to you two... and in turn buying me time to get there."
"So us acting pathetic was what saved us-"
"Imagine if you had fought." Midoriya stated, "The villains would have used their Quirks to stop you. Not only would you be helpless but the sense of urgency, but who knows what else they would have done to you if you have attacked them." He said... before hesitating, "People won't take kindly to the people who attacked them. So you say that you failed because you didn't fight back, no you succeeded and survived by flying instead of fighting. You survived by trying to escape... I didn't because I fought back."

"There are times to fight back, but there are times to flee. One option is never better than the other, because choosing whether to fight or run away will mean the difference between your life... and the life of the people around you." He said.

"Eiko street. He appeared from Kurogiri's portal, knowing Shigaraki he probably didn't like Stain and booted him out." Uncle Giran answered. "Oh shit, there's a boy... one of your classmates I think."

"Not exactly?" An all too familiar voice said.
"Aunt Rei." I said as Stain broke through the ice wall.

"... You." Stain growled, as Uncle Giran walked in front of me.
"I-It's you!" I thought he was unconscious. Native is still awake. "The B rank villain! Giran!"
"So it seems my reputation precedes me." Uncle Giran said as he dropped his cigarette. "Take him and the kid. Sister... you get away too."
"I'm not leaving you to take him alone, I'm helping." Aunt Rei said.

"Fine, but stay back and offer support. We need to make sure the cops don't know YOU were involved. I'll live with them knowing I did it." Uncle Giran said.

"Heh..." Uncle Giran chuckled before pulling out his handgun.

My Nephew took the boy and Native away. Now it's Rei and I against the Hero Killer. "Why are you, of all people, getting in the way?" Stain asked me.
"Simple... I couldn't care less which hero you killed or will kill. But my Nephew clearly wants to protect that boy. So the minute you attacked him, you attacked me. No one attacks my family, because I failed to protect them before." I said.
"Then you will die tonight." Stain said as he rushed at me... time to see if I still got it. He continued to run at me... before tripping on his own shoelaces. "I-Impossible... I never trip!"
"That's because it's my Quirk in action." I said as I walked towards the wall. He kicked off his shoes and aimed to stab me in the neck, I dodged making him strike the wall... the impact made a potted plant fall on his head.
"GAH!"
"My Quirk... is called 'Super Luck'." I said with a smirk, "It's not like I made these business decisions, and stock buys solely on knowledge. My Quirk helped with that as well."
"It gets annoying... but it's good when it's working on your side." Rei said. She's still salty over all the games of Mario Party she lost because of luck.

"He was getting hysterical, and even your luck has a limit. Your Quirk is essentially Murphy's Law, anything that can physically go wrong, will go wrong. Hence why he tripped, the plant fell on him, the bird interrupted the battle, and his knife broke. However, he could still punch you, and that won't be impacted by you luck. Because he's right in front of you, with nothing standing in his way to attack you.
"So you were watching the whole time?" I asked.
"I haven't seen you fight in a decade... it was rather entertaining seeing you beat him without throwing an active punch." Izuku explained... before a police alarm started to blair.

"So your Uncle... who is a B Rank Villain mind you, called you saying he found the Hero Killer?" Tsukauchi asked.
"Correct."
"You took the call from him and rushed over, fully knowing that it was the Hero Killer?"
"Correct."
"Okay... let's start with this. Why?" Tsukauchi asked.
"I owed Ingenium for saving me... he saved me from 3 people, so I repayed him with 3 different favors. Healing him, paying off his debt to Miruko, and saving his brother." I explained, "What I did was wreckless and could have resulted in my life ending, but my conscious is clear and my debts are paid."

"So where is your Uncle now?" Tsukauchi asked.
"He ran the moment he heard the police car coming."
"Any idea where he is?"
"Even if I did I wouldn't tell you. I don't sell out my family."
Tsukauchi looked at All Might, "Let it go." He responded.
"Fine... so Giran defeated the Hero Killer and fled. What happened next?" Tsukauchi asked.
"I walked out, with an unconscious Hero Killer towards the still paralyzed Tenya Iida and Native. The Police apprehended him and brought me here." I explained.
"Truth." Tsukauchi said to All Might.
"Well... since you didn't do anything to harm the villain, you are not in violation of the Quirk Usage Law." All Might said, "However... Native said that Endeavor's wife, Rei Todo-"
"Leave her out of this... please." I begged.

"He said as a thank you for you jumping in to save him, he'll over look it because she's your family. Just this once." Tsukauchi said.
I let out a sigh of relief, "Thank you."
"No... thank you." All Might said, "You saved 3 of your classmates, after saying you didn't care about them."
"I saved Yaoyorozu and Kendou because I don't want them to suffer at the hands of a rapist. And Iida..." I bit my tongue.
"I owed Ingenium my life... and now my debt is paid."

I walked inside, to see Dad's up. "Where have you been?"
"... Settling my debt."

"Ingenium." I said, "His brother was in danger of being killed by Stain. He saved me from 3 villain, so I repaid him in 3 different ways. Did Iida make it?"

"Ingenium visited his brother once he heard that Stain was captured and he was injured. He told me that he yelled at his brother for hours... only to break down once he saw his brother crying that he was walking again. He knows you did it, and wanted to thank you personally with a dinner with his family once his brother is healed.f" He explained, "Listen... I know you hate heroes, villains, and society in general... but is this really the right path?"
"Nothing is going to stop me from achieving my goals." I said, "There are some good people left, that means that society isn't hopeless. But still... I can't give up after I have come this far."
"... Fine, do whatever you want. Your mother and I raised you with free choice after all. But are you going to that dinner?" Dad asked.

"You should know why." I said as I set my fork down, "You saved me from 3 different people, I helped you in 3 different ways."
"... Wait, 3?" Ingenium asked, "You healed me and saved Tenya from Stain sure, but what was the 3rd thing?"

"A woman with bunny ears was whinning about how you borrowed 21,641,200 yen from her for an expansion."
"Y-You didn't!"

"B-But that's an absene amount of money Midoriya!"
"We live in the U.A dorms, that money is a luxury at this point, and besides I had 22,622,000 yen in savings. So I'm at less than a million yen, that's about all I need right now." I explained.
