Hey Everyone!

So I know it's been forever, but I'm back now, and more obsessed with Jennoist/Ryley more than ever! I've had this prompt saved for forever but kind of forgot about it and when I saw Ali Adler's BTS photo of the kiss, with Melissa standing on the box during the scene, I remembered it and wrote this.

Enjoy!

Imagine person A of your OTP is roused in the middle of the night by loud banging and crashing coming from downstairs, and the first thing they notice is that person B is no longer in the bed beside them. They hurry downstairs and find B, the smaller member of your OTP, on the floor in the kitchen, unharmed, having been standing on a chair to reach something on a higher shelf and fallen when the chair tilted over, dragging down half the contents of the shelves with them.

BANG!

Blake awoke to the sound, but turned over assuming one of the dogs had knocked something over.

BANG!

When it happened again, He looked for Melissa beside him and started to worry when he saw the left side of the bed empty. He sat up, stretching, preparing to travel downstairs to check on her.

BANG... CRASH!

At the sound of something, or someone falling, Blake rushed down the stairs as yelling to his wife as he did so.

"Melissa?!"

"I'm alright, I'm alright!" Melissa's voice called back, her voice not sounding very sure.

"What happened, Mel?" Blake asked her as he turned the corner into their kitchen.

There he found Melissa, sprawled on the floor, a chair laying on its side next to her. Around her was the contents of the cupboard in its entirety.

"Well, I have a headache and my shoulder is sore so I couldn't sleep." She began, still sitting on the floor.

He could see how tired she was and that she was on the verge of a breakdown of some sort. It had been her first week back on set since their honeymoon and Blake saw how worn out Melissa was.

"That doesn't explain why you're on the floor, baby."

"I'm not finished!"

"Okay, geez."

"I came downstairs to get some aspirin and make some tea, then I realized that both of them were on the top shelf, but I didn't want to wake you so I thought I'd just use the chair, but it still wasn't tall enough."

"Thus landing you on the ground."

"Yes... And it didn't help my sore shoulder, either."

Blake chuckled softly, grabbing onto Melissa's hands and helping her stand.

"And even after everything fell out of the cabinet, the two things I need are still out of reach." She whined, glaring at the cabinet.

"Well, it's a good thing you, my darling glamazon, have a-"

"Glamazon?" Melissa laughed.

"I stolen from Chyler and Calista the other night at dinner. Now let me finish." He scolded her as he lifted her by her waist and say her in the counter.

"As I was saying, it's a good thing you have a-"

"Giant for a husband?" She guessed giggling.

Blake shot her a look as he pulled the aspirin and tea down from the cupboard.

"I was going to say handsomely tall, gorgeous husband, but whatever makes you happy." He told her, poking her sides, to cause her to let out a loud laugh.

"Well, I guess I can agree... Since you, my handsomely tall, gorgeous giant of a husband, are maybe going to make my tea for me?" Melissa asked him, widening her eyes and batting her eyelashes softly.

Blake laughed and pulled a glass from the drying rack by the sink, filling it with water, before turning back around and handing it to his exhausted blonde.

"Of course, take these and go get back in bed. I'll bring your tea up when it's ready, alright?" Melissa took the two pills from him, popping them in her mouth and taking a gulp of water to wash them down.

"What about all the stuff on the floor?"

"We'll worry about it in the morning. You need sleep, Mel Belles. Now go." He told her, point in the direction of the stairs.

"Alright, alright… Will you bring the heating pad with you?"

"You sure are demanding this evening." He laughed.

"Blaaaakkkeee! Please?" She whined.

"Of course, babe." Melissa kissed his cheek.

"You're the greatest, you know that?"

"Yeah I do." He watched as she turned the corner and out of sight, listening as her feet padded across the upstairs floor.

"Just don't let it get to your head! It's big enough as it is!"

"Says the one who wears a cape and pretends to be a superhero for a living!" He called back as her tea boiled.

"Hey! You leave Kara out of this!"
