Snipits and Tidbits no 6

"Chrystal!" Adrienne whispered loudly, "Get up!" Chrystal sat up and moaned, "Audrey? What are you doing?" "Just come with me," she answered, slipping out the bedroom window. Chrystal moaned again and pulled on some jeans. She glided through the window and looked around for Adrienne. "Audrey, I swear, if you woke me up just to ditch me-," Adrienne ran in and grabbed her hand. "C'mon," she said, towing Chrystal along at full speed.

Finally, Chrystal yelled, "Stop! We've been going for, like, an hour. What's up?" Adrienne stopped running just outside a truck stop diner. "Let's get something to eat, then I'll tell you." Chrystal sighed and said, "Fine, whatever. Gosh, I'm tired."

As they sat down with their orders, a double espresso and the diner's special, Adrienne began, "Ok, so you know about my cousin, Lian? You know, my mom's supervillian sister's daughter? Well, her mom ditched her for not doing something evil or something, so my mom invited her to live with us." "Cool," Chrystal said, sipping her coffee. "No, not cool! She's evil! She's only, like two years older than me and she treats me like a little kid!" "Maybe because you act like a kid?" "No," Adrienne said, "No, not that. She just hates me. But she treats me like I'm five when my mom is around. And she looks just like me! She's a little short for fourteen and I'm tall for twelve, and we both have grey eyes and red hair and freckles! It's so creepy!" "Maybe she thinks it's creepy, too," Chrystal said. "you know what I think?" Adrienne said seriously. "Yes," Chrystal said, "You think she's only here to learn how you act so later she can commit crimes and stuff and people will think it's you." "Word for word!" Adrienne said, "What do you think?" "I think," Chrystal said, "You're paranoid and haven't slept in a while." "You're no help," Adrienne said. Chrystal shrugged, "Hey, if you wanted someone to be paranoid with you and feed your fantasy, you should have grabbed Jacob. I, on the other hand, am here to bring you in to the real world and tell it to you straight. Now, be nice to your cousin, maybe she just wants to be friends and doesn't know how to treat you." Adrienne sighed, "fine, she gets one chance." Chrystal smiled, "Good, now, take me home. We have a test tomorrow."
