This is the last part of this story. Here's two deleted scenes I've been thinking about publishing. It's a much needed chapter. Please enjoy and have a nice day! You guys are great :)
I want to thank my lovely bestfriend Malin, for the countinued support and laughter.
I also want to make clear that these are scenes that has happened in between the chapters ;)
"Good morning, you two are up early," a dark voice said and they both spun around.
"Good morning, Mr Gold," Emma replied and Neal smiled.
"Are you back to yourselves?"
"Yeah, we are," Neal said and took Emma's hand.
"Could I speak to you for a moment?" Mr. Gold asked and looked at his son.
"Now?" he said and looked over to Emma beside him.
"Yes, Bae."
"Is that OK?" Neal asked and Emma nodded. He kissed her head and she smiled at him before she walked down the street.
"I wanted to talk to you about something," the older man suddenly said and Neal turned to face him. He watched him for a moment and then he continued to speak, "Now that you and Miss Swan finally has admitted you both carry a torch for each other. I think it's time I give you this."
Neal watched his papa put his hand in his pocket and take out a small black box.
"What is that?" he asked confused and saw his papa's face soften.
"This is something I got from the two women who raised me when my father left me. They gave it to me when your mother and I got engaged. I never gave it to her," Mr. Gold spoke. Neal felt his jaw drop.
"And now I want you to give it to Emma. I know love when I see it, and what you have together is real. It's true," he finished and opened the box to reveal a beautiful, old diamond ring. Neal knew from the moment he saw it, that it would be more than perfect for Emma. A satisfied and genuine smile spread across his face.
"Are you sure?" he asked, still smiling.
"Yes, Bae. I want you to have it," his father replied and smiled back. Neal let out a sigh. He knew this was what he wanted more than anything.
"Thank you, papa. For always believing in us," he told his father and pulled him into a embrace.
"Of course," his father said almost like a whisper.
PART TWO
Neal sat on the couch and again looked at the clock, for about the 10th time. It was about 9 AM. He waited for the other couple in this apartment to wake. He was becoming impatient. Neal worried Emma might wake up again, but before he could worry more about it, he let out a snort. Who was he trying to kid? Emma was a sleepyhead, and if she was allowed to, she would probably sleep till 3 PM in the afternoon.
He caught a sudden movement in the bed and bit his lip. The time went so slow and he could feel the urge to wake him them both up and ask them the question that burnt on his tongue. Neal let out a deep sigh and scratched his head slowly. He prayed secretly that Emma's parents didn't sleep as long as her.
It itched in his fingers to take the black box out from his pocket. Just to study it one more time. It was so beautiful and he could imagine Emma wearing it. She would look even more stunning with it on her finger. If it was even possible. He felt another smile take over his lips. This was exactly what he wanted.
Finally Mary Margaret seemed to be awake. Tossing around and leaning closer to David. Neal put the box back in his pocket.
"Hi," Neal heard her voice say. But he knew it wasn't meant for him.
"Hello beautiful," David replied and Neal grinned, knowing that this was how he would wake up next to Emma.
He raised from the couch and started walking closer to the part of the room where their bed was. He cleared his throat slightly and watched the couple turn their heads towards him.
"What are you doing up so early?" Mary Margaret questioned and let out a yawn.
"I wanted to talk to you guys about something," he replied and straightened his back, "It's kind of important."
Mary Margaret looked over at a confused David and then she turned her head back to Neal. She grinned and got out of bed.
"Let me get dressed first," she said and headed towards the bathroom. David frowned at the spot beside him being empty. The mornings here were always so rushed.
5 minutes later both Mary Margaret and David sat down at the table with coffee. Mary Margaret looked eagerly over at Neal.
"Well?" she said and broke the silence.
"I don't want you to feel pressured up into a corner. You can think about it as long as you want," Neal began and smiled softly.
"What?" David questioned and narrowed his eyes carefully.
"I want to ask you for Emma's hand in marriage," he revealed with seriousness written all over his face.
"Yes!" Mary Margaret exclaimed.
"Shhh, Emma's sleeping," David reminded his wife and then turned his gaze to Neal. Neal watched the couple nervously.
"What I have seen between you and Emma these past days, it's clear that it's love," David smiled, "However, if you break her heart, I will break your neck."
Neal looked at David confused. Was that a yes?
"Are we clear?" David asked. And Neal nodded.
"Yes, we are. I love her, so I wouldn't- I know I've made mistakes, but they won't happen again. The family Emma and I have together means everything to me. I will never stop fighting for us," he replied and watched David's face light up again.
"That's what I wanted to hear," David said slowly and Mary Margaret let out a relieved sigh and her face beamed with pride.
"So that's a yes?" Neal asked.
"That's a yes," Mary Margaret replied softly.
