I'm back.

To answer a question from the review. I originally did not have Poppy and Jack dating...until near the end of the story. But I changed my mind after Rae's wedding chapters were posted. Their dating doesn't play a HUGE factor in the story. Just some comments and questions.

The following morning was a Sunday. Nothing excited had happened around here yet. Frankly, Poppy had hoped something would happen. Anything. But she was glad at least that she was getting to know her maternal family. They were so kind and eager to know more about her. Poppy had noticed that they hadn't asked too much about her mom. Just a couple of questions. Maybe they had a grudge against her mother?

Saturday she had just stayed around the house and helped out with the nursery by building the crib with Newt. Sometimes after that she sat outside with her cousin while Tina was off doing work assignments. It was pretty simple.

Sunday morning Poppy was still asleep in the attic room her Uncle and Aunt provided for the short noticed. She heard a knock on her window. She figured it was in her head so she ignored the knock. The knock came a second time. Then a third. Finally a few more times repeating. Poppy sat up from the bed and flipped around to face the window opposite side of her.

Jack. Of course.

Poppy waved him in.

Jack pulled the window opened and leaned on his arms that rested on the window sill. "Mornin' sunshine. You doing good?"

Poppy nodded as she rolled off the bed and made her way over to him. "Better than ever." She kissed the top of his head. "What's up? And how are you up here?" She asked him. She leaned out the window and found her answer; Jack standing on his broom. "Of course. How did I not know that?"

"Because everyone's got the right to be stupid. You abuse the power."

Out in a meadow a couple of miles away from the cottage it was simple and warm sunshine. Humid temperature was to come around later. The girlfriend and boyfriend were laying on the red and white checked blanket; Poppy's back against Jack's front. Jack's feet stuck straight up with heels against ground while Poppy slid her bare feet in between the grass blades. Grass was a nice change from beach sand.

"So when are you heading for Paris?" She asked him. "The day after tomorrow?"

"Sure am." He lift his head up to look down at her. "Paris, Hungary and Vienna for Galway family vacation. Be back two weeks." He rubbed her head. "When you heading back home?"

Poppy shrugged. "Frankly I don't want to see Mom for a while. I'm still so mad at her. I mentioned in the note that you invited me to the family vacation so that keeps me off for a while. Maybe I'll send her a letter and say I'm exploring Ireland for a bit and then explore more of New York since I didn't get to explore all of it when I went for Rae's wedding." She thought about it a bit more. "You think going back in August would work?"

"Throw in another two or three states." He laughed. "You know you might 'ave to tell your mum about your dad. She's bound to find out soon and better to know from you directly than another way. Plus you're eighteen now so I doubt she'll keep obliviating you."

Poppy sighed as she sat up and turned to be off of Jack's lap. "Something is telling me that she would do it for the rest of her life. I wouldn't know about Dad until after he died probably."

"Newt and Tina?"

"Oh right. So then I'd never know about them." She said. Jack began laughing. "What?"

"Remember my cousin Ruthie and her husband Richard?" He questioned. "He was twenty when she was born. That's five year more than you are to Levi."

Poppy smacked his face. "You're disgusting!" She laughed. "Alright, skipping the subject. My aunt and uncle are visiting his parents and brother on Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday until after dinner. You know anything about the family?"

"I'm not a Scamander, idiot."

"Any idea roughly?"

"His brother is a war hero. Forget if he is older or younger than Newt. He was engaged to Leta Lestrange before she died."

Poppy blinked. "He was engaged to...Uncle Newt's crush?"

"Worked together. She probably remembered him from school days. If not than she probably had mentioned to him how Newt was kind to her when everyone else bullied her for family." Jack explained. "His mum was the other who sparked his interest in magical creatures."

"Interesting."

"I think the brother is married with children. Forget their names though. That's all I really know." He replied. "'ow many more questions and I going to need to answer today?"
