Chapter 14 – Boggarts, talks and friendship.
Olivia walked up to her dormitory after her final defence class of the day. She threw her bag down next to her bed and kicked off her shoes and fell back against the pillows. As she rolled over she caught the smell of Sirius aftershave, and smiled as she remembered she had stolen it and sprayed it on her pillow so it would smell like him.
She hugged the pillow to her chest tightly and smiled. Olivia looked up when she heard the door open again and smiled when she saw Lily walk in.
"Hey Sherlock." Olivia greeted her not taking her face away from the pillow, which resulted in her voice being slightly muffled.
Lily rolled her eyes "Are you seriously still smelling that pillow?" She laughed.
Olivia nodded "I swear this has to be the best invention I have ever created."
"Olivia you sprayed your boyfriends after shave on your pillow, I don't think that really qualifies for the Guinness book of world records as being the world's best invention." Lily laughed.
Olivia politely gave her the finger.
"You are so nice to me." Lily said rolling her eyes.
Olivia smiled and jumped off the bed and wrapped Lily in her arms "Oh Lily my dearest friend, I love you to the world and back, in fact you should leave James, I'll dump Sirius and we can elope to Vegas!" Olivia said dramatically.
Lily giggled and played along "Why yes I will just go and leave James right now and run off with you to the land of casinos and lights."
Olivia laughed and let go of Lily, going back to her bed and laid back down, with Lily doing the same in her own bed.
"Although Lily we would have one problem with our elopement... I would have to bring this pillow because Sirius smells so damn good." Olivia told her.
Lily laughed "Well that could indeed put a kink in our plans."
The two girls were silent for a few moments, until Lily broke it, sitting up on her bed and looking over at Olivia.
"How did you know... that you were, you know... ready to do it with Sirius." Lily asked quietly her face blushing.
Olivia looked at her. "Lil, it's not something you think about, you feel it. When you feel like it's time then that's when."
"Hey, who said we were talking about me." Lily said defensively.
Olivia grinned "Nobody, but since you've gone on the defensive I'm going to say that it is about you."
Lily blushed again.
"Don't be embarrassed Lil's, you love James and he definitely loves you" Olivia laughed "and you've been dating for a while now, it's pretty normal to want to move to the next step, especially with that one person who means more than life to you."
Lily looked at her in awe; she loved having a best friend like Olivia. Someone who you could turn to and talk with, and she could still make you laugh but then give you a simple yet completely understandable answer.
"The first time, does it... you know ... hurt?" Lily stuttered out.
Olivia sighed "In all honesty Lily Sirius wasn't my first, and I deeply regret that now but I can't change the past. My first time was when I was in fifth year I was drunk and didn't really care about what I was doing and ended up giving my virginity to some 6th year." Olivia told her.
"It hurt for me yes, but you're with James, he'll take it as slow as you want, he loves you." She finished.
Lily looked at her "I didn't realise that was how your first time happened?" Lily said sadly.
"If I'm perfectly honest Lils I don't even think about it anymore, I think of Sirius as my first, which in truth he was because, it wasn't just sex, he made love to me, which is exactly what James will do with you." Olivia said.
Lily walked over to Olivia and hugged her "Thank you."
Olivia hugged her back. "For what?"
"For just being my best friend and talking to me without laughing at the situation, just for everything Olivia really your my, what do you call me, oh yes, you're my main girl." Lily said smiling.
Olivia laughed "Oh Sherlock, you are my main girl too. If I had the ability to cry I would gladly give up a few tears for you." She winked.
Lily laughed "Well thank you for that generosity right there."
"What can I say, I am a charitable person." She giggled.
Lily smiled and lay down on Olivia's bed with her.
"I was so scared when you were taken." Lily whispered.
Olivia turned her head to look at her "Lily every things fine now, me and Sirius are safe."
To Olivia's surprise Lily had tears in her eyes and a few escaped rolling down her pale cheek.
"I wish that I could have done more, to have helped save you before you were even taken, but I couldn't do that because I'm a mudblood." Lily cried.
Olivia looked at her shocked "Lily don't you dare say that about yourself, you may be a muggle born, but in my opinion that makes you even more important than purebloods, because you were born through two muggles and possess the ability of magic, if that's not special I don't know what is!" Olivia told her firmly, not wanting her friend to be feeling bad or self conscious about herself.
Lily looked up at her and Olivia smiled wiping her tears away, "Now stop crying tears make me jealous." She giggled trying to lighten the mood.
Lily laughed and wiped the rest of the tears away. "Thank you, Olivia. As much as I enjoy your company I think I'm going to go and find James."
Olivia pretended to look hurt "It's okay I understand, do what you have to do." She fake cried "nah I'm joking I'm going to go find Sirius, you sure you're okay now?"
Lily nodded "Emotional breakdowns they're a bitch." She said and Olivia looked at her surprised.
"Yes Lily that fight in the hall gave you some claws." Olivia approved "Welcome to the dark side." She giggled and walked down the stairs.
Lily rolled her eyes at her crazy best friend and followed her down the stairs to find James.
Olivia walked up to the boy's dormitory and smiled when she saw Sirius lying on his bed, throwing a quaffle over his head and catching it again, repeating the process over and over. He smiled over to her when he saw her.
"Hey." Sirius smiled and out the quaffle down and started to sit up.
Olivia walked over to him quickly and pushed him back down on to the bed. She laid her body down on top of his resting her head on his chest.
Sirius stroked her hair. "You okay?" He asked.
Olivia nodded stroking his chest, next to where her head was lying.
"You know I've been meaning to ask you, I seem to be missing a bottle of after shave..." He trailed off looking down at his girlfriend.
Olivia giggled and looked up at him "You have always been terrible at losing things baby."
Sirius laughed "Is that right, so it doesn't have anything to do with you making an invention, that's what I overheard Lily telling James."
Olivia laughed "Okay so I stole a bottle of your after shave and sprayed it on my pillow."
Sirius looked at her "That's your great invention."
Olivia huffed "why is everyone dissing my wonderful invention."
Sirius laughed "It's a great idea baby, means I'm with you even when I'm not."
"Exactly!" Olivia said "plus I've already told Dumbledore I'm keeping that pillow when I leave."
Sirius looked at her confused "why?"
Olivia shrugged "I've had a lot of pillow fights, and dreams and memories while sleeping on that pillow, not to mention great sex." She winked at him.
Sirius laughed "Well then yes the pillow is definitely coming with us."
Olivia smiled. "What've you been up to today then?"
Sirius shrugged and went back to stroking her hair. "Nothing much really, went down to the quidditch pitch with James, did a few routines came back up her and had to entertain myself since my girlfriend was AWOL.
"I happened to be in a class and then me and Lily had some girl time." Olivia told him.
Sirius made an 'Ahh' motion with his mouth and Olivia smiled, leaning down to kiss him.
Sirius smiled and kissed her back passionately.
He pulled back when the need for air being too strong and both of them gasped to refill their lungs.
"I missed you today." Sirus told her breathlessly, stroking her cheek.
"I missed you too." Olivia told him, just as breathless.
Sirius smiled and kissed her head.
Olivia sighed in content and laid her head down on his chest, falling asleep almost instantly.
Sirius, James, Frank and Remus all walked down to Defence against the dark arts the next day with their girlfriends. All the desks had been cleared to one side and two shaking cupboards stood at the front of the room.
The group stood together at the back of the classroom in a corner.
"What the hell is that?" James asked looking at the cupboards.
Lily rolled her eyes "honestly James do you do any reading... It's a boggart."
"That is correct Miss. Evans." Professor Croft said from where he appeared at the front of the classroom.
Every one turned from their conversations to face him, where he was now standing next to the cupboards.
"Inside these cupboards is a boggart. Miss. Evans perhaps you could tell me would a boggart does?" Croft explained.
Every turned to face Lily as she spoke. "A boggart takes the form of what the person fears most." Lily explained.
"Correct again, so today class we are going to practise facing Boggarts and destroying them with laughter." Professor Croft explained. "Okay I would like you to get into pairs and then line up one person from each pair in each line, in front of the cupboards." He instructed.
Sirius smiled and walked over to Olivia holding her hand "mind being my partner?" he asked playfully.
"Hmm... I guess I can put up with you for an hour." Olivia smiled. Sirius smiled back at her, playfully tapping her ass.
All the marauders teamed up with their girlfriends and the boys stood in the line of the first cupboard while the girls stood by the second cupboard.
"Right, the boggart will take the shape of what you fear the most all you need to do is point your wand at it and say the word Riddikulus, while thinking of your fear doing something funny. The key is laughter. Okay first pair, begin." He said unlocking the cupboards.
Alice and Frank looked at each other and pulled their wands out facing their fears and transforming them into something funny. Amy and Remus went next, followed by Lily and James, who surprisingly both had the same fear of darkness, making it more fun but putting disco lights all around in the dark.
Olivia stared at the cupboard on her' and Sirius' turn, waiting anxiously to see what would appear. Part of her knew and yet the other part hoped beyond some miracle that he wouldn't show up. She took a shaky breath and quickly glanced over at Sirius who gave her a small smiled to calm her, as she pulled out her wand and faced back to the boggart was beginning to shift.
Olivia knew without even looking at herself that all the blood had drained from her face and her hands shook. She tried to make her mouth form the words to get rid of the boggart but she couldn't force her mouth to cooperate and say anything, but flinched as her "dad" lifted his hand to strike at her.
"Olivia say the spell! Come on it's not real all of us are here with you, just say the spell."
Olivia heard Lily shouting to her and shook her head trying to clear it and managed to speak.
"Riddikulus." She mumbled quietly and breathed out a sigh of relief when her "dad" started to grow painful but colourful looking blisters all over his face.
She glanced over slightly, surprised that she hadn't heard Sirius' voice trying to calm her. As she turned she sucked in a gasp of air when she saw Sirius having trouble breathing in and out properly. She looked down at the floor and saw her own dead body lying there.
Olivia gasped and ran over to him and cupped his face in her hands.
"Baby look at me, I'm here and I'm alive, just say the spell and it will be gone." She whispered to him stroking his cheeks gently.
It took him a few moments to respond and Olivia began to think that he had no intentions of saying anything, when he muttered the spell, turning her broken, dead body into a firework display.
Sirius wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. Olivia sighed and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him back with equal passion.
Professor Croft cleared his throat and Olivia and Sirius broke apart reluctantly, still holding on to each other. "Okay I think we can call it a day there folks, those of you who didn't get a go and would like to try it, please see me in my office" he said dismissing the class.
Lily walked up to them both along with the rest of their group "Are you guys okay?" Alice asked worriedly.
Olivia nodded and looked up at Sirius who nodded as well, Olivia made a note to stay with him tonight and talk about it.
"Let's get out of here and go back to the common room." James suggested and they all nodded in agreement.
"Lily Rose Evans are you seriously suggesting a game that involves the sin of drinking alcohol?" Olivia feigned shock, laying her hand over her heart.
Lily rolled her eyes and pulled Olivia by the hand, dragging her up from where she was laying over Sirius lap. Sirius had barely let her out of his sight since he had seen her 'dead' in DADA, letting her only go to the bathroom on her own, but standing outside till she was finished. Normally Olivia would have told him to back off, but she could see just how much seeing that boggart had affected him, so kept it to herself.
"Come on we're all going to play I never, you've both had a crappy day so we're all going to relax." Lily told her.
Lily looked at the girl in front of her, like she'd grown a second head, just as James came down from the dormitory and walked over to Lily, wrapping his arm around her and kissing her cheek.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"Someone kidnapped your girlfriend and replaced her with a fun loving demon." Olivia said, eyeing Lily with curiosity.
Sirius smirked and looked at James "Prongs we are in need of supplies for tonight's activities as ordered by your girl." James raised his eyes brows at Lily.
"You ordered this huh?" He smiled and Lily nodded.
"Yep, so get your ass in gear and go do whatever rule breaking thing you need to do." She giggled kissing his cheek and went back up to the girl's dormitory to tell Alice and Amy.
James quickly ran back upstairs grabbing the map and his invisibility cloak. "Let's go mate." He said to Sirius.
Sirius looked at Olivia and sighed. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her. Olivia smiled wrapping her arms around his neck, kissing him back. As she pulled back she looked into his eyes,
"I'm going to be fine Sirius, okay?" She told him gently.
Sirius nodded and kissed her gently again and let her go "I love you." He smiled "Don't get into trouble." He winked at her.
Olivia giggled and saluted him "Yes sir." She smiled blowing him a kiss.
Sirius pretended to catch the kiss and walked out of the room with James, who was pretending to gag at the love scene.
Olivia rolled her eyes and walked up the stairs.
"Okay so everyone knows the rules, if someone says something you've done, take a drink of the alcohol, if you haven't done it, you don't drink." Lily explained.
They were all sitting in a circle in front of the fire, the girls in their P.j's and the boys in their sweats. Amy was lying across the floor with her head in Remus' lap as he stroked her hair gently.
Olivia was sitting between Sirius legs, with her back against his chest. While Lily was tucked under James arm, their sides touching closely and Alice was sitting in Franks lap as his arms wrapped around her.
Everyone nodded understanding the game, and Lily passed out the bottles of fire whiskey.
"Okay then I guess I'll start... I have never had a cat." Lily started off the game with a simple one and only Amy took a drink.
"I have never spent the night in jail." Olivia said looking around to see if anyone would admit it, luckily though no one had been unfortunate to be arrested.
Sirius thought about it for a sec. "I have never worn lingerie." He said and only Olivia took a drink, causing people to groan.
"That's lovely that I now know that." James grimaced and Olivia winked at him.
Remus, surprisingly, was the one who turned it more sexual. "I have never been caught having sex" Olivia, Sirius, Frank and Alice all took a drink. Olivia giggled at Alice's blushing face
"Who caught you?" she asked.
Alice blushed more "Franks mum accidently walked in" Olivia laughed.
"I have never fallen asleep in class." Amy said taking it back from the sex ones, her blushing face indicating her embarrassment.
Everyone but Amy, lily and Remus took a drink.
Sirius looked at Remus shaking his head "Remus, what a disgrace." The other marauders nodded their heads in agreement.
Remus rolled his eyes "well I apologise for staying awake so that I can take down the notes for the four of you when you fall asleep in class. The remaining marauders shut up.
"That's what I thought." Remus smiled triumphantly.
Alice rolled her eyes and carried on with the game "I have never had sex in the shower." She said going back to the original topic.
Olivia smirked, as well as Sirius as they both took a drink.
"Jesus guys, I'm going to be pissed by the time you get round to the things I haven't done." Olivia giggled.
Lily groaned shaking her head "I cannot believe how open you are being about having sex in the shower."
Olivia shrugged "It's just sex Lil's, it's what happens when a man and a women experience strong feelings for one another, and if that happens in the shower so be it." She smiled sounding very motherly as she playfully teased Lily.
Lily blushed almost the colour of her hair and buried her face in James' neck.
Frank rolled his eyes at all of them. "I have never had sex on a beach."
Olivia groaned taking a drink "Bloody hell, this is going to be a long game..."
