"Are you excited for our first official date?" Ryouma said excitedly like a puppy being given a new chew toy.
"Yeah, but we did have two dates before this remember? The time with the ice cream and the other time…" He cut himself off before he could remember anything else that happened. Their second date had ended with Izumi telling Ryouma the worst news ever. He was also kind of shocked that they hadn't had an official date yet.
It had been nearly a year since Izumi had been attacked in the construction site and it had been a wild ride. It had been really busy for both of them. Ryouma had been busy with a film while Izumi was working on various TV dramas and adverts. They never really went on dates when they had free time they more just spent quality time together and enjoyed each other's company.
Izumi was doing really well psychologically and physically he had healed up. There was the odd nightmare which would wake up Izumi not screaming but more panicking and clinging onto his body pillow. He would always call Ryouma when he had a nightmare and he would always go straight over to his house. No matter what time it was.
Ryouma knew that he was thinking about it. He just wanted to get rid of those memories for him. He gave him a kiss on the cheek to calm his nerves. Izumi looked up at him with those eyes and Ryouma could practically feel the blood starting to run from his nose.
"Hey listen. This is our first date where you will be 100% happy and nothing will go wrong because you deserve it." It had become common for him to talk like this but every time Ryouma would reassure him he was wrong. They had reduced the number of sessions Izumi would have with the doctor as he didn't need them as much and he would go for a check-up every month or so.
"I really don't." Ryouma hated that Izumi's confidence in himself had been reduced to nothing. He wished Izumi could see that it wasn't true.
"Izumi. You do. I am going to treat you like an anime princess and you are going to love it." Ryouma could see Izumi trying to visibly hide his blushing at the mention of anime princesses. Anime watching had become a pretty common thing they would do together. Ryouma didn't always get it but it made Izumi happy so he was okay with it.
They began to drive and Izumi was keeping an eye out for any potential clues that would let him know where he was going.
After a while of driving and an awkward silence Izumi couldn't hold it in anymore. He just had to know.
"Ryouma please just tell me where we're going." Izumi practically begged for the answer.
"Why don't you see for yourself?" He pointed to a large building where there seemed a lot of cosplayers walking about the outside. Izumi had no clue what was going on but he looked like he was going to have a good time.
"Are we at a museum?" He asked noting that the sign above said it was a Japanese historical museum.
"Yeah but look on inside." Ryouma said hoping that Izumi would be able to see the banner on the outside.
The entrance to the museum was surrounded by anime themed pictures and other types of comics and manga from across the world. The banner stated in big letters International otaku fest. The letters were of course surrounded by magical girls and their creepy talking cat.
"What is all this?" His asked Ryouma while his eyes turned into little stars.
"They're having an international appreciation of manga and anime from all around the world. I thought it might be your type of thing." He knew that Izumi hadn't even been able to work on his manga or go to anything like this for a while now. With all the work he had to do and along with school and therapy. It was a lot to say the least.
They got out of the car and walked into the hall. There were otakus everywhere. Izumi as truly with his own people at last.
After another while of looking around they decided it would probably be best if they just called it a day and headed back home. They got back in the car and Ryouma was looking anxiously under the seat. Izumi could read his behaviour and folded his arms. He was clear hiding something.
"Hey I got something for you." He said looking really excited. He felt around under his seat for a moment and pulled out a rectangular object wrapped in blue and yellow stripped paper.
"Thank you. What is it?" He could tell by feeling it that it was defiantly a manga but he already got every manga he wanted.
He tore off the paper and he covered his mouth in shock not believing what he was seeing.
"Ryouma is this?"
"It was no problem to get it all sorted."
The book that was in his hands was his manga but it wasn't. It was his manga fully realised. The girl on the cover was everything Izumi had wanted her to be. He flicked through and everything was as it should be.
"How did you get it?" He asked kissing Ryouma and wrapping his arms around his neck embracing in a passionate hug.
*flashback*
"Please do this for me. Just make the entire comic in your own style." Said Ryouma bowing down once again to the manga artist that Izumi praised as some kind of god. He had no shame in doing this again. It was for Izumi. He was bowing to the manga artist in his private office.
"Why? I have a busy schedule." Saotome remarked not even looking at the desperate Ryouma. It hadn't been the first time that the star had done this and he was pushing his luck. He was surprised he even got in at all.
"Just help me." Ryouma was really hoping that he could get a copy of Izumi's manga made. After an incident where Izumi had had a panic attack in his room he ended up accidently spilling some ink over a couple of the pages and he had gone into a nearly dead like state. He wouldn't eat or drink that much. Rei was really concerned about him.
Thankfully he had come out of it after a couple of days but he was still feeling that hopelessness inside. Ryouma hated it when he was like this.
"I can't." He told him finally. He was an author of a popular series and he didn't have the time to deal with personal requests
"Listen you bastard! I will not stand here and have you deny Izumi the only thing that will keep him sane or sinking any lower into his depression state." He had grabbed him by the collar and gave him the look of death.
"Tell me why." He said keeping his cool trying not to look intimidated. Ryouma paused for a moment and let go of his collar. He didn't know whether Izumi would appreciate his idol knowing about what happened considering he wanted no one knowing. Then again if he didn't have a good enough reason there would be no way of Ryouma getting the manga done.
"…Fine but it's not a pretty story." He said seeing this as the only way.
As he began to explain the situation Satome's face grew more and more disgusted with every sentence and Ryouma could see the shock on his face as he mentioned how he was doing and when Ryouma had been told after the second encounter. After the story was done Satome looked like he was processing all of the information,
"I'll have it done next Monday." He said making up his mind
"Thank you sir." Ryouma said once again getting on the floor and bowing down to with out of gratitude. Satome looked down and groaned.
"Just get out before I call security." He said pulling him up and pushing him out of the office. Ryouma was so glad that it had actually worked.
*End of flashback*
"I just asked him and he did." Ryouma lied not letting Izumi know what really went down.
Izumi looked at the finished project one more time and held it close. He looked toward Ryouma and gave a helpless smile. Ryouma had been so good to him and he figured it was about time he did something nice for him.
"Hey Ryouma do you want to go back to the apartment and maybe I can give you a gift?" Izumi said suggestively but still in a shy tone of voice.
Izumi are you saying what I think you're saying?" He was in shock. He would have never expected Izumi to be this forward but he had told him that it was his choice when they decided they wanted to try anything in the bed room.
"Let's go back to your place." Izumi felt that he was ready to be intimate with Ryouma again but he didn't know how to bring it up or even talk about it. It was a nervous time but he knew he was ready.
Ryouma had been waiting for this day for so long and he couldn't believe that it was actually here. It was finally here. The newest part in their play was about to begin.
Smut will be in the next chapter. It'll probably be the last chapter but if I can think of anything else to add I'll continue alas for now the end is neigh. I thank everyone who took interest. It helps me a lot considering no one takes interest in real life.
