"I hope your girlfriend is worth Lord Raiden's anger, Liu Kang" Kung Lao said as the three entered the tower.
"Notice that I am ignoring you" the champion replied getting a small smile from his two comrades.
They saw no sign of Kitana in the Tower. The two monks and soul reaper knew that Jade wasn't one to lie. "Hmmm…they must have relocated Kitana," Kung Lao observed.
As if it was on cue, Liu Kang, Ichigo, and Kung Lao were met by two aspects who barged through the door. It was the Shokan Sheeva along with a man in all black. He was wearing a sleeveless gi of some sort with long pants and a mask covering most of his face. His eyes were completely white and even his skin was pitch black as the night, Ichigo recognized him from his visions as Noob Saibot even though his creation should have been prevented when Scorpion didn't kill Sub Zero (tell the audience how we know his name).
"We have indeed," Sheeva began, "We knew someone would come for her. May you join her in death." Noob saibot finished before the battle commenced with Liu and Ichigo taking on Sheeva, leaving Kung Lao to deal with the new fighter.
Kung Lao made the first strike with a whirlwind kick, hitting Noob Saibot hard and making him roll along the ground only to get up like nothing happened. Noob Saibot then came at Kung Lao with a quick dash punch which surprise Kung Lao a bit, it was fast and strong as Lao's whirlwind kick.
Kung Lao made his come back with a combo of fists to the dark warrior's face, but Noob Saibot surprised him with a grab as his other half, which for some reason is female, grabs Kung Lao by the shoulder and drags him through a portal proceeding to beat him up then spit him back out.
Kung Lao recover and launches a hat move at Noob Saibot's knees catching him off balance while Kung Lao landed another strike on him with a whirlwind kick to the face.
Noob Saibot got up as he growled, showing his teeth before turning into some type of oily substance and then returning to normal.
Noob Saibot tightened his fist as he once again used his shadow dash attack, but this time as Noob Saibot's other side collided with the monk a portal opened behind them and swallowed the two. Kung Lao then reappeared from the ceiling and Noob Saibot grabbed Kung Lao by his right foot and smashed him to the ground.
Kung Lao got up quickly and once again launch his hat at Noob Saibot however it was in midair rather than a low throw, meaning that Noob Saibot should have duck to dodge it instead of jumping.
Noob Saibot had enough of this and was ready to end this fight. In a splash of liquid darkness there stood two of the feminine Noob Saibot, who grabbed the monk as the real Noob Saibot's approached him and then punched the shaolin in the face, hurting the whole skull, while the two shadows hurt his spine, heart and ribs by kneeing him in the lower back. Noob then kicked the monk in the stomach, causing him to vomit on his leg.
Kung Lao slowly got back up wiping away the remaining puke he then proceeds to teleport behind the wraith kicking him in the head. The attack sends him to the ground facedown as he gets backs up then attacks the shaolin only for him to parry the wraith. Before Noob had a chance to take back the offensive Kung Lao kicked the legs from under him sending him into the air before doing a straight punch sending straight to the other side of the ring.
"Be thankful I choose not to spill your tainted blood" he said to the downed wraith.
As the monk got a closer look at the enemy and saw something weird. "Who are you? There is something familiar…" he said then was caught by the sounds of the battle next to him.
Liu Kang was fighting the female shokan as Ichigo jumped on top of her to gain an advantage; Kung Lao couldn't help but joked around at the situation "Do you need help? Four of a kind against two pair is hardly a favorable match."
Then he heard a gruff voice calling out his friends names; he turned to see Goro ready to fight. "You have had your match against Kung Lao Kang and Ichigo Kurosaki" the monk declared before getting in a stance. "Now you will face me" he said as the battle commenced.
Goro suddenly lunged at the Warrior, but much to his surprise, Kang had cart wheeled out of the way. Goro tried again, except this time as he opened his four arms to knock his opponent back when he suddenly felt a blow hit him square in the chest, when he looked down in pain, he saw that Kung Lao had taken this moment to elbow him in the chest. Kung Lao removed his elbow and calmly clapped his own hands as though he was brushing off dust.
Growling slightly, Goro took charge once again combining his two left arms, he tried to swipe at Kung Lao, who ducked and countered with another blow to the chest before, he suddenly he took his leg and struck Goro across the face which nearly knocked the Shokan Prince on his back. Goro roared angrily and sent a fireball out of his right arm, and Kung Lao jumped into the air to avoid the fireball and then, clenching his fists together, sent a strike of his own, hitting Goro squarely in the chest. As Goro leapt back stunned, Kung Lao took his moment to use his Whirlwind Kick to strike the shokan across the face.
He then tried to land a blow on the shokan only for each hit to be blocked; Goro attempted a ground stomp but, the monk teleported and performs a massive Spin. Upon connecting, he grabs his foe & delivers a hard chop to the neck, near the windpipe. While Goro was still stunned and trying to recover, Kung Lao then hit the back of the neck with a second chop, devastating the vertebrae.
The shokan prince fell to the ground unable to get up.
"Now if you have any honor left…" Kung Lao began to speak as he voice to on a steely tone, "You will tell us where Kitana is."
Goro swallowed. He was in a vulnerable position; weak, tired, and dizzy. He could easy be killed at any moment by any of the three warriors. "She has been taken to the Koliseum. Where she has no doubt been executed." Goro's words were the truth, but they nonetheless angered the warriors before him. "You lie!" Liu Kang shouted before stomping on Goro's head aggressively. Kung Lao and Ichigo looked up at Liu Kang thoughtfully, "She may have lived. Let us go."

The warriors walk into the sandy blood strewn Outworld arena in silent defeat. Moving into the audience of warriors, they join Raiden, Smoke, and Sub-zero in watching Johnny Cage kombat Ermac. The movie star is plainly exhausted, as the duel has been going on for some time. Bruises harshly adorn his body and blood seeps from various small open wounds. Finally the construct of souls pushed him back making the actor unable to get back up. "Ermac wins" Shang Tsung declared.
"There's Kitana!" Kung Lao said spoting the princess chained up between two pillars.
"I must free her," Liu Kang said before running towards the Princess however Raiden tried to stop him. "Not now! Smoke, Johnny Cage, Jade, and Scorpion have been defeated, and I no longer sense Jackson Briggs or Sonya Blade's presence in Outworld. Despite my doubts as to whether you are Earthrealm's Savior you must fight!" Raiden demaded only for Liu Kang to reply with "But I am not he who must win." and then proceeds to the chained princes as Ichigo has Khameleon do the same for Skarlet after seeing her bound as well on the opposite side of stage from Kitana.
"Raiden! Put forth a worthy champion…if you can." Shao Kahn laughed.
Kung Lao made to move forward, but stopped glancing at Raiden, and he waited. "Perhaps you are meant to be the victor" Raiden said evenly. Kung Lao smiles slightly, as the pride with these words gives him courage and confidence. Moving forward, Kung Lao stands tall and awaits the announcement of his opponent.
Shao Kahn regarded the Shaolin momentarily, before speaking. "You will face Shang Tsung..." The soul-stealing sorcerer stood tall upon hearing his name, and a cunning smile twists his lips. "And Quan Chi," Shao Kahn finished, ignoring the reaction. Shang Tsung's smile immediately disappears to surprise and then disgust. Quan Chi, in turn, smirks at his name's announcement, and Shang Tsung's expression.
Kung Lao was surprised with this challenge, but the burden of Raiden's belief of him being the savior of Earthrealm causes him to quickly rid himself of his apprehensions.
As both teams moved into fighting positions, Ichigo had another vision, only without Raiden this time, it was of the two Sorcerers teaming up and how their combined deeds led to Armageddon. Seeing them as a great threat he moved forward to even the odds and readies Fuwa. Raiden takes these actions with small surprise, but any other emotions are otherwise hidden. Shao Kahn chuckles, but does not reject the Soul Reaper's participation.
"No Earthrealm boy can stop this Deadly Alliance." Quan Chi said as Shang Tsung replied, "On that we agree."
Kung Lao and Quan Chi moved to the center to lead the fight. Each in their kombat position as they carefully watched one another, both wary of the other's presence and movements.
With an abrupt motion of his hand, Kung Lao grabbed his hat, mindful of the razor sharp blade fitted around the brim, and fling it forward with great strength at Quan Chi's legs. However, he is parried by when the sorcerer jumps forward, over the obstacle, coming down faster than the Earthrealm warrior could dodge; Quan Chi hit him squarely in the chest with his elbow. The monk stumbled backwards almost losing his posture, but quickly managed to regain his balance and trip the Outworld ally before further harm can be done.
As his opponent hastily stood up, Kung Lao teleported himself behind him. Grabbing Quan Chi by the shoulders, the Earthrealm warrior tossed him forward, using his own body's weight to balance the throw so that he lands on his feet while Quan Chi skids into the sand. A smirk of satisfaction quirked the Shaolin monk's lips, while a sharp chuckle from Shang Tsung is heard.
The necromancer quickly advances in an offensive tactic after this, too quickly for Kung Lao to his misfortune. Using his ground burst, Quan Chi gave Kung Lao a painful boost backwards, before putting him into a trance using his dark magic. Unable to do nothing more than move like a zombie with his arms flung in front of him, Kung Lao is temporarily helpless as he stumbles towards his opponent as a green substance floats around his head, showing any observes the signs necromancy that controls him.
After using his ground burst at close range when Kung Lao approached, the sorcerer then used a few simple moves to knock him backwards. Slightly dazed, but out of his trance, Kung Lao immediately swung and upper-cut at Quan Chi when he came within range. Teleporting himself behind the sorcerer and spun around to send Quan Chi stumbling forward, but not in the least bit harmed. Seeking to rectify this, Kung Lao did another hat throw; the hat is thrown with perfection and hit its target squarely as the blade ground up the skin and flesh on his opponent's chest, before appearing back on the monk's head, bloodied.
Feeling slight humiliation to be facing an Earthrealm opponent that is combating him unusually well, Quan Chi immediately moves to attack and rid of this unwelcome emotion. Flipping forward he landed multiple kicks on Kung Lao as soon as he lands. Apparently moving into attack as well Kung Lao is momentarily left vulnerable, and Quan Chi quickly seizes this advantage and upper cuts the warrior and then ground blasts him.
Falling onto his back in the course, yet warm sand, Kung Lao was now heedless to all else, but winning this tournament. Kung Lao moved in to attack with great haste and fierce determination. Knowing that Kung Lao would try to regain the offense, Quan Chi moved to attack first. However, his attempt to kick the Earthrealm warrior backwards so that he could start a more brutal assault fails when his leg is caught by Kung Lao's arm and held tightly to the Earthrealm warrior's side.
Throwing down Quan Chi's leg forcefully, Kung Lao multi kicked him while the Netherrealm warrior attempted to regain himself. Using his cyclone move, Kung Lao spins rapidly; feeling immense energy flow through his body, Kung Lao dive kicked Quan Chi to bring him into a vulnerable position, before moving within range to execute his Fist of Shaolin. The agonizing feeling of bones being pushed to their unforgiving limits filled Quan Chi's body. Despite his strength and sorcery, he was helpless to defend against Kung Lao's attacks. Practiced till perfection, Kung Lao efficiently finishes his move. The Fist of Shaolin was meant to be brutal and efficient in finishing or severely injuring the opponent.
Quan Chi was thrown towards the side of the arena where his partner, Shang Tsung, awaited his turn. Physically exhausted and beaten, the Netherrealm necromancer was defeated. Shang Tsung knew this and moved forward to take his place.
Slightly tired himself Kung Lao knew that he had a partner of his own, awaiting and present to take his place if needed. However, determined to prove his worth and abilities, Kung Lao did not move back to allow Ichigo to take his place and the hybrid warrior merely waited, no facial expressions betraying his thoughts as he regarded the fight with a calm gaze.
Knowing that Shang Tsung would be a difficult adversary Kung Lao made fluent motions with his hands before kneeling. Knowing the signal since he fought before with the monk, Ichigo rushed behind his partner and placed his hands together and then sprayed a thick stream of water at the new opponent. Shang Tsung was immediately stunned in his current position. A position that tells his was about to use a fire skull. Rushing forward, eager to strike his opponent while his is still unmoving, Kung Lao does a dive kick followed by a multi kick.
Knocked backwards and finally free of his unmoving condition, Shang Tsung is quick to regain himself. Using his triple skulls, he hit the Earthrealm warrior successfully with each one before putting his hands together and shooting a fire skull upwards. Unfortunately, Kung Lao had been planning to dive kick the Outworld warrior and was hit by this and earned a few painful kicks before finally being thrown backwards.
Still keen and not willing to back down or trade places with Ichigo, Kung Lao teleported himself behind Shang Tsung. This proved to be a wise decision, as the sorcerer shot multiple fire skulls where he had stood. Grabbing up the sorcerer, Kung Lao kicked him away, and once Shang Tsung stands he was immediately met by Kung Lao's grinding hat.
Using his sorcery, Shang Tsung transformed himself so that he was identical to Kung Lao. The transformation had also given the Outworld warrior all the knowledge of Kung Lao's hard learnt moves, which he used them with ease and efficiency.
However, the real Earthrealm warrior was more determined.
The great sorcerer, trusted right-hand man of Shao Kahn, was soon thrown next to Quan Chi in a clumsy mess. Still recovering from his defeat, Quan Chi was kneeling to regain is strength, but quickly stood up and backed away to avoid having Shang Tsung thrown onto him. The Outworld sorcerer followed suit, stiffly standing and avoided looking at his beaten ally.
"It is done" the monk announced.
"No Kung Lao, not nearly so" the sorcerer said as he and Quan Chi left the arena as Ichigo left, seeing that he was not needed anymore, to help Liu Kang with Kitana.
The arena gates opened as the seven foot giant shokan with tiger fur and shiny armor walked out towards Kung Lao as the people of Outworld called out Kintaro as his name over and over again and Kintaro raised all four arms up in the air as he roared.
"I will eat your heart." Were Kintaro's first words to Kung Lao.
Kintaro made the first move by a strong front kick to Kung Lao's chest, sending him flying back about four feet away. Kung Lao recovered soon and tossed his blade-hat at the giant Shokan, cutting Kintaro deeply and leaving a long cut mark on the tiger-Shokan's chest, soon Kung Lao jumped high in the air and delivered a two-piece air kick to Kintaro's face.
Kintaro easily recovered from the attack and grabbed Kung Lao by his right shoulder, before he smashed him to the floor and tossed him aside, and finally jumped high in the air ready to smash the shoalin underneath him only to fall down to his knees when Kung Lao delivered a round-house kick to Kintaro's face.
Kintaro got slowly back up as his face was consumed with rage.
Kintaro was indeed a tiger-Shokan, born from the race of half-man and half-tiger bloodline, while Sheeva and Goro were Shokan of the dragon-bloodline, but something all Shokan shared was their flames. Kintaro fired three fire-balls from his mouth follow by flame-thrower breath, as Kung Lao somehow avoided the fire-balls and flame-thrower breath attack.
Kintaro blasted a fireball at the ground, creating a small flash-bang which blinded Kung Lao for a second. Kintaro then grabbed Kung Lao by the head and toss him into the air and jump up behind the shoalin and did a back-breaker on Kung Lao twice but before tossing him on the ground. Kung Lao retaliated by tossing his hat at Kintaro, but Kintaro caught Kung Lao's hat and tossed it right back at the Shaolin monk, only for Kung Lao grab his hat right before it strike at him and did a badass pose while doing so, which pissed off Kintaro even more.
Kintaro blindly ran toward Kung Lao and Kung Lao did his infamous spin move which somehow cut all four of Kintaro's hands as he tried to grab him. Next Kung Lao went for a deadly blow and struck the side of Kintaro's throat breaking the cartilage in the side of his neck. Kintaro bow his head down while holding his throat as Kung Lao did the same to the back of it knocking the brute out for the count.
"Hahaha" Kung Lao chuckled as the rush of victory set in.
Proudly smiling, Kung Lao held his hands up in victory. Whether the Tarkatans were cheering for him or were simply in a frenzied uproar over the fighting is unknown. His back is to Shao Kahn's throne, though he should not trust the Outworld emperor, he is caught in his moment of victory. The monk then turned to the thunder god; "You see, Raiden Eartrealm is free-"
"Kung Lao behind you!" yelled Khameleon as the Monk teleported out of the Emperor's grip. He reappeared behind to strike him with his hat only for it to be destroyed by the ruler's wrath hammer. He then dashed tackled Kung Lao aside and gazed towards Ichigo and Liu Kang who wasn't paying attention as they just freed Kitana.
Shao Khan summoned an energy spear and threw it at the unsuspecting group and Kung Lao, knowing he couldn't warn them in time, made the noblest choice in his life. Before the spear could impact, Kung Lao teleported in front of his friends and took the hit as it impaled him, mortally wounding him and leaving the earthrealmers to watch in horror.
"Kung Lao!" Raiden yelled at the scene before him. "Nooo!" Liu Kang cried in despair as Ichigo just let rage consume him. Shao Khan stood proudly as Raiden was prepared to fight; "I will strip the flesh from your bones" he roared charging his lightning.
However both Liu Kang and Ichigo tackled the Emperor getting in a tussle only for the ruler to overpower them and laugh at pathetic attempt. "Witless boys. Do you know who I am?" he asked the two.
"The half-naked man about to get his ass kicked in the next three seconds" Ichigo sneered summoning Ai Lee.
"I am Shao Khan! Conqueror of worlds! You both will taste no victory" The Emperor said.
"You will taste your own blood" the Monk threatened as the battle commenced.
Liu Kang bicycle-kicked Shao Kahn as his first strike while Kahn took the attack well and counter-attacked with his shoulder dash attack knocking Liu Kang off his feet and then summoning his infamous war-hammer to his aid.
Shao Kahn smashed his hammer down upon Liu Kang but lucky for Liu he acted quickly and cartwheeled into Shao Kahn who quickly recovered the attack much faster than the dark wizard had proving that he was much tougher then Shag Tsung.
Next Shao Kahn tossed his war-hammer at Liu Kang, Liu acted quickly on his toes he grabbed Shao Kahn war-hammer and toss it right back at him. Shao Kahn took a heavy blow to the chest which cases him to fell down on his knees.
"You Suck!" Shao Kahn taunted Liu Kang as he stood back up like nothing had happened.
Liu Kang flying kicked Shao Kahn off his feet and Shao Kahn shoulder-tackled Liu Kang in response like before, but then grabbed Liu Kang by the throat and head-butted him as Liu felt the biggest headache he ever had in his life.
Shao Kahn then threw Liu Kang aside and laughed "That was pathetic!"
However the match was not over as Ichigo took the place with his strongest weapon ready. He focused his power and strength this time as he remembered all his training, all he knew, and what would happen if he should fall. Ichigo's ax-hammer was glowing bright purple as Ichigo did his energy blast attack, only this time the blast took on the form of a large disk projectile.
The attack worked on Shao Kahn who took on a lot more damage. But this alone didn't make Shao Kahn submit not at all, who just laughed at the soul reaper, who then did a soaring energized downward swing this time, Shao Kahn got knocked off his feet again, but this time he had a hammer-mark on his chest.
Ichigo then threw his weapon at Shao Kahn as it crackled with energy.
Ichigo finally finished with an uppercut that sent Shao Kahn into the air.
As Shao Kahn got off the ground in a daze, the emperor couldn't believe it. He had been defeated by this universal foreigner and monk.
"On your feet." Liu Kang said with fury in his voice.
Ichigo held the Emperor with his weapon as Liu Kang prepared to deliver the final blow and yelled, "For Kung Lao, the Shaolin, and Earthrealm!"
Liu Kang then ramed his right fist into Shao Kahn's chest making the Outworld Emperor cough up large amount of blood before falling over face-down, killing him in one blow as a ray of light ray came down upon Liu Kang and Ichigo Kurosaki.
"I cannot believe—Earthrealm has won" Shang Tsung said in disbelief.
"The Elder gods have spoken. Have spoken Earthrealm is free of Shao Khan forever." Raiden said as the sound of someone yelling in pain was heard. Liu Kang and Ichigo turned to see Kung Lao was still alive and the energy-spear had disappeared, freeing him from where he had been pinned. The two rushed over to their friend so glad to see he was still alive.
Happy for the group of friends, Raiden took a look at his amulet only to see more cracks appear. "It cannot be! Shao Kahn is dead yet the future remains unchanged!" he exclaimed getting shocked looks from Ichigo and Liu Kang.
(MKmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkMK)
"Shao Kahn is finished." Goro spoke as he, Baraka, Mileena, Reptile, Sheeva, Ermac and Motaro, Shang Tsung, and their new allies Sektor and Cyrax who still see the emperor as a higher power for the Lin Kuei to serve despite not getting their targets.
"Mileena is his heir. She should rule." Baraka spoke as Ermac and Reptile agreed with him but Shang Tsung disagreed as he smirked at first, "Mileena? She exists only because of my sorcery" he said causing Mileena glare at Shang with a venomous stare.
"And you breathe because I restrain mine!" Shao Kahn's voice spoke from behind Shang Tsung.
Everyone quickly looked to see Shao Kahn was still alive. "Emperor!" Sheeva said "You Live!" Goro finish what Sheeva was about to say.
"I am not so easily killed. Quan Chi accelerated my recovery" Shao Khan explained as everyone bowed down before their ruler.
"Emperor I-" Shang Tsung was about to say he was sorry but he was cut off by the emperor. "Not…one word." Shao Kahn said and looked beyond pissed "Because of you, Outworld can no longer merge with Earthrealm!"
"There may yet be an alternative, Emperor. Invasion," Quan Chi suggested. Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung looked at the sorcerer, eyes wide with surprise. "I-Invasion?!" Shang Tsung began before he was silenced by Shao Kahn.
"Do you mock me?! Sindel's ward prevents me from setting foot in Earthrealm!" Shao Kahn shouted at Quan Chi.
"Have you considered why your wife and Empress chose to betray you in this particular fashion?" The pale-skinned sorcerer pondered.
"Of course. But even after millennia, her motives are a mystery."
"She realized that the safeguards afforded by the Elder Gods through Mortal Kombat are but fiction. She sacrificed herself to give protection the Elder Gods could not. So Earthrealm could not suffer as had Edenia." The necromancer elaborated.
"Indeed" Shao Khan said as he nodded, signifying his understanding and motioning for the Neitherrealm warlock to continue.
Quan Chi then turned to face Shao Kahn, "I have mastered the spells necessary for her resurrection. Her ward will be nullified, and with it, the barrier that prevents your entry to Earthrealm."
Shao Kahn was doing backflips in his head. He would be able to conquer Earthrealm with his beloved Sindel at his side, but not understanding the motives of the one before him gave him pause. "This is a very magnanimous offer" the Emperor said only for Quan Chi to reply with "I only wish to serve you emperor."
"I am wary of sorcerers, Quan Chi. Prove your worth. Bring her to me." The emperor ordered and the sorcerer nodded. "I will return her to you of course. You will find her much more…cooperative."
(MKmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkmkMK)
Quan Chi and Noob Saibot then went to the Desert, where Sindel's body was buried.
Through Quan Chi's magic resurrection of the fallen queen soon began. A female skeleton rose from the sand, and it started to writhe in pain as flesh and skin grew back on to it along with long white hair. The spell was now complete, the woman had been fully resurrected and Earthrealm's former ally would now be a dangerous foe.
"Sindel," Quan Chi began, grabbing the woman's attention.
"Quan Chi…" Sindel trailed, somehow recognizing the male, even though they hadn't met. "Shao Kahn looks forward to your return," Quan Chi said, prompting her along as his magic worked her mind.
"The Emperor? Yessss…" she said, the bewitching spell clearly working. Her loyalty truly was to Shao Kahn now, and no one else. "What of Kitana?"
"Kitana now allies herself with Earthrealm," Quan Chi informed her.
The Empress frowned. "Then she is no longer my daughter! Take me to Shao Kahn!" Quan Chi nodded. "Yes, Empress."
Standing up, he turned to face Noob Saibot. "The invasion of Earthrealm can now begin…
Well that's the end of the MKII arc and will be going to the last and final one. Things will be getting really heated by now and this story has inspired me to work on other Mortal Kombat stories that I may do after this is finish. So stay tune and i'll update again.
