Chapter 14 Not The Only One

Austin walked into the food court seeing an intimate moment going on between Dallas who was inches away from Ally. He stood there frozen is anger, confusion and a tingle of jealousy. Why was she in his arms? Why didn't she tell him she was going to the food court after rehearsal?

It all went downhill when he saw Dallas lean down and kiss Ally on the lips. He felt his heart crumble and fall into his stomach. The only thing that might prevent total heart break was the fact that Ally pushed him off.

"Dallas you know I'm with Austin! How could you kiss me like that? Y-You don't get to just burst in here and say all this stuff when I'm taken!" She was shaking by the time she finished and her eyes went wide when she saw Austin standing right there.

"Austin please it's not what you think, let me explain."

"I don't know if I can hear your explanation Ally... Now I know what I did to Teresa, now I know how she felt." Austin said partially to Ally and partially himself.

"Austin man I'm sorry I crossed a line-" Dallas never finished his sentence because Austin punched him in the face.

"AUSTIN!" Ally yelled grabbing his arms making him look at her.

"Stop it, calm down. Nor Dallas or I planned for this to happen we were two musicians going to get lunch. He for some reason felt it was right to pour his heart out to me about his feelings. But he was telling me about a girl he lost a long time ago. I am his friend so I am going to be there for him, if you don't like that then you and I are over."

Ally looked Austin straight in the eye as she spoke trying to get an idea of what was going on in his head. His eyes were wide and she already could tell how hurt he was.

"You knew he likes you, why did you agree to come here with him?" Austin asked.

"Like I said before he needed me Austin."

"Maybe I need you! Do you have any idea how hard it was to find out my grandma is in the hospital and the first person I want to go for comfort is kissing another guy!" he exclaimed. Ally's eyes went wide.

"I'm really sorry Austin I had no idea."

"Hmm, I wonder why.." He sent Dallas a glare before walking away. Ally held her head in her hands not knowing where her and Austin now stand.

Sophia was walking down to the arcade room trying to play some skeeball but the machine was malfunctioning.

"I hate when this happens." a voice said and pounds on the machine. The game dings and starts working again.

"Thanks! Hey wanna play? My name is Sophie."

"Sure, my name is Kendall." Sophie remembered he was from that other band Lucy and the Lunatics. They seem really good too. Kendall seemed like a nice guy too, he was good at skeeball and kept a smile on Sophie's face the entire time they hung out.

They didn't talk much if any about their groups progress but more about each other. Sophie talked about her past a bit with her unstable parents and therefore unstable childhood. Kendall related with her because of his mom's drug abuse, lucky for him she got clean and is his biggest supporter.

"Ugh I have to go meet my friends soon. Vanessa said 7 o'clock." Sophie spoke up with a grin of stalling her leave.

"I understand, it was really nice to meet you Sophie. Maybe we can do this again sometime." Kendall smiled and waved as they walked their separate ways.

"Alright guys showtime is in T-minus 10 minutes let's get going!" They were all dressed to impressed and ready to rock. TADA was finishing some touches on the chorus as Masked Mayhem and Lucy and The Lunatics were unveiling some secret weapons.

"To start off the night we have Lucy and The Lunatics singing Fall For You by Secondhand Serenade!" the host announced as the crowd screamed. What shocked everyone was the fact Lucy was playing guitar while Dallas started singing. Once he hit the chorus the girls were going insane but he was staring at one the entire time he sang.

Tonight will be the night, that I will fall for you

Over again don't make me change my mind

Or I won't live to see another day I swear it's true

'Cause a girl like you is impossible to find

You're impossible to find

Austin already knew who Dallas was singing about but tried to stay calm and collected. He'd talk to Ally afterwards so they could try and focus for their performances. This is getting very intense for some groups. The Ravens performed a heart felt Bon Jovi song that got some good responses from the judges. Ally wept a tear by the end and managed to really connect with the crowd. By the time TADA! got up to play the crowd was anxious and that's right where they wanted them.

"Our last group tonight TADA! will be performing Centuries by Fall Out Boy!" Teresa started out bleeding into Austin's first verse. He was really feeling the music course through his veins. They did change some of the lyrics though for appropriateness.

The crowd was really torn as to who they should send home. All of these groups were capable of great music making. But by the end of the time given they had come to conclusion.

"Alright...The band with the least amount of votes...Is... Lucy and The Lunatics. Congrats to The Ravens and TADA! you are going to the finals!" Ally and Vanessa screamed along with the crowd but Ally stopped right away seeing Dallas' face. She ran over to him giving him just about the biggest hug in history.

"I'm so so sorry Dallas." he smiled thinking how sweet Ally is, and how much he'll miss her.

"I'm sorry for kissing you in front of Austin, but I won't ever regret telling you how I feel." he pulled away and met her eyes.

"Maybe in another life we could've had something. You have my number and we can talk whenever you want okay? Promise." she smiled at him and they shook hands.

"Good luck Ally, I'll be cheering for you." she nodded and turned seeing Austin run to her and lifting her up off her feet.

"WE MADE IT OH MY GOD WE MADE IT!" he cried as she squealed. He brought her back down and led into a passionate but very PG kiss. Everything was perfect. Ally was going to finals with her boyfriend, Nathan and Vanessa couldn't be happier, but for Sophie and Kendall this might be the end of the road. Unless he gets the courage to ask for her number. Trish had to put up with Dez but now she wasn't minding so much. Reyna was ecstatic for her group and made it to celebrate.
