Hello and I'm just going to start by saying I am sooooo freaking sorry for being a flakey author. I won't bore you with the details of my life. It is now October and I haven't updated since February and as an avid reader on this site, I hate having to wait a long time for an update yet here I am doing it to all my readers. So once again, I am insanely sorry for the long wait. I do have more free time so hopefully I can update more often.

Haruhi had just reached backstage when Sakura(in case you don't remember, Sakura is head of the backstage crew) rushed over to her.

"Where have you been? We need to finish setting up the lighting for the show. And where is Benio? She needs to get into her costume." Haruhi smiled at Sakura.

"Benio will be along shortly, and calm down Sakura, the show doesn't start for another thirty minutes." Sakura took a deep breath and nodded. She dragged Haruhi over to the soundboard and lighting controls. Benio came up behind Haruhi and wrapped her arms around Haruhi's waist.

"Are you alright Haruhi?" Chizuru placed her hand on Haruhi's arm and gave her a concerned look.

"I'm fine. I just wanna get this stupid cultural festival over with so I can go home." They gave her sad looks, but went on their way to get ready for the show.

The show was a success. Of course, the Ouran students didn't quite understand what they had watched, but the Lobelia students were beyond excited to see their Benio perform. Haruhi was eager to escape Ouran, but with the sinking knowledge that there was still another day of the festival and she'd have to come back tomorrow. She sighed as she walked home from Ouran. 'I wonder if things would be different if I had been accepted to Ouran in the first place.' Haruhi paused in front of her favorite bakery. 'This is where I first met Takashi and Honey-sempai.' She continued to walk home and sighed as she passed the grocery store remembering how Tamaki and Kyoya had followed her around and how fascinated Tamaki had been. 'Stop thinking about them. They don't wanna be friends with you anymore so get them out of your damn head. Those stupid rich bastards.' Haruhi wiped away the tear that had managed to escape. She dragged her feet up the stairs and headed into her apartment knowing it would be empty until later tonight. Haruhi made a quick dinner for her father before heading off to bed without eating anything for herself. 'Perhaps I'll stay home tomorrow and catch up on homework.' That was Haruhi's last thought before drifting off to sleep.

"Haruhi? Wake up sweetie. It's time for school." Haruhi woke up at the sound of her father's voice.

"I don't think I'm going today dad. I'm not feeling so great." Ranka gasped and quickly put his hand to Haruhi's forehead checking for a fever.

"You feel okay and you look fine to me Haruhi, but if you say you don't feel good, then I suppose just this once you can stay home." Haruhi gave him a small smile,

"Thanks dad. Want me to cook something for you for breakfast?" That made Ranka very excited and he ran to the kitchen yelling that he wanted a sweet omelet. Haruhi just rolled her eyes and got out of bed. She made an omelet for her dad and once again didn't make anything for herself. She got a questioning look from her father and she passed it off with her 'sickness.' After his breakfast, Ranka went to bed and Haruhi went to her room to catch up on homework and reading. Haruhi read through lunch time and finally stopped close to dinner time. Right as she went to start dinner, there was a knock at the door. She opened the door to reveal six people, five of which were dressed as females.

"What. The. Hell?" Haruhi's mouth dropped open when she realized she was looking at the Host Club in drag, except for Takashi. She took in each host one at a time then burst out laughing. She was laughing to the point of tears and the hosts all looked at her concerned.

"Is Haru-chan broken?" Mitsukuni had tears in his eyes, afraid that Haruhi had finally lost it.

"Seriously, what are you guys wearing?" Haruhi asked between fits of laughter. The twins came up to her and gave mischievous grins.

"We're the Hitatchiin sisters, which one of us is prettier?" That only made Haruhi laugh harder.

"What possessed you to do this?" Haruhi had finally stopped laughing.

"We decided that we can't be happy without you Haruhi." She looked at Kaoru with a smile as he said that.

"We were going to show you this today, but you never showed up. What happened?" Haruhi sighed and looked to Kyoya to answer his question.

"You guys said that you wanted to take a break from me, so I was making it easier by not showing up. I thought it would be better, and perhaps it would be better for all of us." Haruhi grabbed her coat and they all went out together after leaving a note for her father. The hosts got dressed in the limo and took Haruhi to a small restaurant.

"After you left yesterday, we decided that we can't not be friends with you Haruhi. You've changed all of us for the better and you mean so much to us." Tamaki smiled at her when he finished talking, then Haruhi spoke up.

"If I've changed you all for the better, then why have you all been fighting with each other? You've all been great friends to me and I don't want to ruin that just because I have feelings for Takashi and Kyoya, so at least for a little while, I think we should keep our distance." They all looked at Haruhi like she'd grown another head. Haruhi put some money on the table and got up to leave.

"Honestly Haruhi, you think you're going to get rid of us so easily?" She glanced at Kyoya and nodded firmly.

"Well think again Haruhi, you are mine and Kaoru's plaything. Besides, we still owe you makeovers from when you borrowed one of our maids." Haruhi paled at the memory.

"And I still have a bunch of cakes that aren't going to eat themselves Haru-chan. So you need to come to the Host club to eat it with me, okay?" Haruhi smiled at the hosts,

"Just one week apart, then we'll talk." She walked away from the table with a smile on her face. She had barely made it out the door when hands grabbed both of her wrists.

"Haruhi, please." She looked between Takashi and Kyoya, the two men that consumed her thoughts night and day. She gave them both a kiss on the cheek and pulled away from them.

"See you in a week." She walked away from them, and this time they let her go.
