Congratulations to our 50th reviewer: allen r! Let me start by saying I am soo sorry I meant to post this like ten days ago, but then I went on vacation and got distracted... Can you please go vote on my poll? Please?

Previously: Tyson was about to descend the stairs when Percy grabbed him. After a few minutes Tyson persuaded Percy to let him.

Then I saw Charybdis.

Let me explain something about Charybdis, you can't see her body, you see this horrible mouth and teeth with braces trying to suck in the water and eat you. It's not exactly what you would want to see everyday.

The worst part of Charybdis was her braces, I couldn't look at them without gagging. The metal was rusting and pieces of driftwood, fish, and garbage were sticking out everywhere.

"Lady Clarisse! Starboard and frontward guns are in range!" the Captain yelled.

"Fire!" Clarisse responded without of moment of hesitation.

Three full rounds were shot into Charybdis' mouth. One hit the side of her lip. The second disappeared down her throat. Finally the third hit one of her braces and bounced back at us hitting the red Ares flag.

"Again!" Clarisse ordered.

It was obvious that we weren't doing any damage to Charybdis. We would have to hit her one million times before we did anything to her.

A few minutes later the engine roared and we started slowly moving backwards.

"Tyson did it!" I yelled.

"Wait we need to stay close!" Clarisse growled.

"We'll die, we need to move away." I tried to reason.

Percy gripped the rail beside me as we tried to not blow over. The Ares flag flew by us and got stuck in Charybdis braces. Our progress was very slow, Tyson had given the ship just enough juice to keep us from being sucked in.

Suddenly, the mouth clamped shut. The sea returned to it's normal calm state, Charybdis disappeared from sight.

Then, the mouth opened again, spitting out water, driftwood, and cannonballs back at us. One cannonball hit the USS Birmingham with a loud ding. We were thrown backward on a huge thirty foot wave. The entire world was spinning around and we were headed towards cliffs.

A skeleton soldier stumbled onto the deck and almost stumbled into Clarisse.

"The engine is going to blow!"

"Where's Tyson?" Percy demanded.

"He's still down there, he is holding it together somehow. I don't know how much longer he can hold it for."

"We need to abandon ship." the Captain declared.

"No!" Clarisse screamed.

"We have no choice ma'am. The hull is cracking, the engine-"

He never finished his sentence. A brown and green hand shot down from the sky and picked up the Captain carrying him away. All that was left of him was his boots.

"Scylla!" A sailor yelled before the same hand picked him up.

I took out my knife and Percy uncapped Riptide. We tried to somehow fight Scylla but it was no use.

"Everyone below deck!" Percy ordered.

"We can't. Everything below deck is in flames." Clarisse snapped at him.

"Lifeboats quick!" I yelled.

"They will never clear the cliffs, they will be eaten." Clarisse said.

"We have to try Clarisse. Percy, the thermos." I said sighing.

"I can't leave Tyson!" Percy exclaimed.

"We need to get the boats ready!" I tried to reason with him.

Clarisse agreed with me (for once) and started uncovering the lifeboats.

"Get the other boat." Percy said tossing me the thermos. "I'll go grab Tyson."

"You can't the heat will kill you!" I shouted after him.

He didn't listen, stubborn as he is, and ran towards the boiler room. I sighed and prayed he made it out alive. My hands moved with lightning speed as I uncovered a lifeboat.

Behind me I heard a yell. Turning around I saw Percy being lifted into the air by his backpack. He took Riptide and threw it into Scylla's eye. Scylla dropped him and he started to fall, I started to run towards the side of the boat where Percy was going to be dropped by.

KABBOOOMMM!

I was lifted into the air with immense heat behind me. Turning behind me what I saw confirmed by thoughts. The USS Birmingham had exploded.

It felt as if I had been falling forever, time slowed down as I opened my eyes to see myself flying towards the water. I closed my eyes and prepared myself for the water. Finally, I landed in the icy water. Five feet to my right was a lifeboat, three feet to my left was the thermos and some sailor shirts.

Ever since I was little I hadn't been a very good swimmer, in the middle of the Sea of Monsters was no different. I started to panic, I couldn't reach the bottom I was going to drown. Annabeth, you will not drown get your stuff get into the lifeboat and help the others! I commanded myself.

Propelling myself to the left I started swimming towards the thermos. Grabbing it and the sailor shirts I started hauling them to the lifeboat. A few minutes later I had swam to the lifeboat. Treading water I lifted up the thermos and shirts and threw it into the lifeboat. Grabbing the boat I kicked my legs hard and fast trying to pull myself into the boat. I landed in a heap on the bottom of the boat, satisfied open the thermos a tiny bit pointing it away from the wreckage.

A few minutes later I arrived at the wreckage of the USS Birmingham. After fishing around for a half an hour I had only a bottle of Dr. Pepper and more sailor shirts. Still no Tyson, Clarisse, or Percy.

I turned the thermos a little bit while maneuvering around wreckage looking for anyone. Thirty minutes later I was about to give up when I saw it, a mop of black hair. Turning the boat I twisted the thermos to make the boat go faster. Arriving at the mop of black hair a few seconds later I determined that the mop of black hair did indeed belong to Seaweed Brain, he was breathing and alive, but unconscious.

I smiled to myself, I had Percy with me now, he can help me through this.

Thinking about it now I came to a realization, I liked Percy, like really liked him. Aphrodite campers would say I like like him. Oh my gods, Silena and Grover are going to tease me about this for ages!

"What are we going to do Seaweed Brain?" I asked him hauling him into the boat.

So Annabeth finally admits to herself that she likes Percy:) Yay!
