"Prove it."

The party went on until the early hours of the morning. The floor of Ling's apartment was littered with empty bottles, cans, and inebriated bodies that collapsed where they were standing.

Ed was one of the final souls to make it pass embarrassing snapchats and being the victim of bedwetting shame. Ling and Winry had an hour-long argument over whether or not putting their drunken friends' hands in a glass of warm water was hilarious or horribly immature, after finding Garfiel and Alex snoring loudly together with a bottle of wine cradled between them.

With droopy eyes, he slumped down onto his neighbor's love seat and looked at the sleeping bundles of people throughout the room. Ling and Lan Fan were bundled together in a large armchair; Ling spread across the seat with his mouth hanging open, and Lan Fan curled up in his lap like a small kitten. Rose slept at the table, with her nose barely peaking over her forearm. Jean and Becky were leaning against each other and the wall, holding hands, and Paninya, one of the few neighbors he hadn't met yet, was sprawled out on the floor in front of them.

His eyes landed on his brother, who was lying on the couch in a calmed state of slumber, with the small Sailor Moon girl cuddled into his side. It was a little alarming, seeing him in a rather intimate situation with a girl he had only just met. He wasn't used to seeing Al as an adult, sometimes. He could still remember the bratty younger brother that cried over every little thing.

Winry, who had been one of the only sober party-goers that night, came into the room quietly, stepping over bodies and joining Ed on the only open seat. "Al sure knows how to woo a lady, huh?"

"I guess," he replied, readjusting into his spot as Winry curled into hers. She smiled as she looked at the sleeping pair, and glanced over at Ed.

"Those genetics definitely didn't pass to you," she teased, and lightly punched his arm.

"Tch! Shows what you know," he responded, glaring at her while she laughed.

"Please, your attitude screams 'Incompetent'," Winry retorted.

Ed rolled his eyes and placed his head against the back of the seat. "Just because you've never seen me flirt, doesn't mean I can't."

"Oh yeah?" Winry said, resting her cheek against her hand. "Prove it."

Ed arched an eyebrow curiously. "With who?"

"Me," she said, a spark of challenge in her voice. "Sweep me off my feet, Mr. Elric."

Ed's stomach jumped, and his heart began to beat faster. "Why in the actual Hell would I do that?"

"To prove a point, of course," she whispered sweetly, though it was obvious that she was still teasing him. Her shoulders bouncing up and down to accentuate her façade of innocence.

"I'm too tired for this," Ed whined. "Let me sleep and I'll woo you in the morning."

"Wuss," she mumbled, and closed her eyes as she wiggled into a comfortable sleeping position.

Ed watched her from the corner of his eye and gulped hard, before wrapping an arm around her and pulling her to his side. He half-expected her to gasp or stiffen, but she did neither. Instead, he could feel her almost shrug, and sigh lightly as she lay across his lap, and drifted to sleep.
