Naruto
Kitsune Oni

Author: Hey, it took me a while to start up again. Thank you to those who have been reading it and waiting.

Sarutobi sighed as he looked over the paperwork he had to fill out this morning. It wasn't even a part of his usual paperwork but it was still a few feet off the table on its own. And he couldn't even go at his usual pace with this stuff because it has to be finished by midday at the latest as they were the forms for the Kages of other villages and a few of their respected villagers to attend and watch the 3rd part of the exam. With a glum sigh he began the annoying task of completing them: initial here, name there; signature at the end. While doing so he silently cursed the founders that forbade the uses of techniques for handling such matters as to show the tolerance and humbleness that was required of the Hokage. Why, oh why did he choose to take up the job again; he should have given the job to Jiraiya when he had the chance. He could have well and easily kept his spy group operational why in the control of a village, as well as a few laws pertaining to his other commitments and it would have gone smoothly. He was also sure everyone would have been happy with a Sannin running the show as they were the successors of him, himself. But no, he was stuck here pushing papers while his ex-students were off doing whatever they wanted, lucky bastards.

Tsunade's mindset was quite similar to her ex-sensei's as she gruellingly finished off the daily requirements of a clan; she never got how clans could look after themselves while having to deal with all that the council required – they didn't even have regular clan meetings because there was so much to do. She shiftily looked around her office for any signs of her protégé/assistant, Shizune before taking a large swig of gourd. It was the only thing that could keep her going. Well that and the thought that Naruto was finally getting some of the treatment he deserved. Sure there were still the diehards that hated his guts, but they knew better than to voice their opinions in a group of people trying to get the young-male's favour. She quickly hid the gourd as she heard the sounds of her assistant approaching, probably giving her more forms that had piled up from the Senju clan being inactive for so long. She didn't even want to think about the propositions made to ensure her clan's survival; like she'd even look at the male suitors who had wanted to woe her, let alone actually go out with them.

"Lady Tsunade" Shizune greeted as she entered with a scroll branded with the Uzumaki insigma on it, "Lord Namikaze has requested that you attend the 3rd task of the exams with him to discuss the future of his residency with Konoha"

"Has the brat finally got some sense in him?" she asked to no one as she received the scroll, reading through it quickly. "I see" she commented after processing it, "This may be something I have to take seriously given my heritage"

Shizune nodding before fulfilling the unrequested order of returning a reply of acceptance to the blond lord, giving Tsunade time to ponder about the request some more before returning and persuaded her to continue with the forms of her Lady's clan.

Kakashi stared at the scroll he received with taste before burning it with a fire jutsu. What did it matter that the brat was his Sensei's son; the information means nothing. He already knew about it from the start, and even if he didn't it wouldn't have taken that long for him to figure out. The council now knowing of the demon-containers heritage won't change his opinion of the boy one bit. Shaking the thoughts from his head he resumed watching the Uchiha-prodigy train his only created technique. One he was sure would help in the battle with the One-tailed Jinchūriki's seemingly-impenetrable sand defence and prove that the young upstart was more than the think the council could ass-lick and fangirls could fawn over. He was going to prove that the Uchiha was his protégé and that he was going to be every much a Shinobi as he is.

The only thing that worried him was the seal that Orochimaru had planted on him. It seemed to be affecting him more and more every day. Not even the bitch, Anko could do anything about it, though that didn't surprise him very much as the woman was not even an official Jōnin so it obvious she wouldn't have been of much use from the start. He sighed the mark tried to spread over the boy's body once more today, but smiled proudly as the Uchiha, though grimacing, fought the seal and brought it back down to a more tolerable level of existence.

"That's enough for now" Kakshi called out as he unpacked some food, "If you don't rest your body won't have enough to recuperate from your training and will hinder you later on"

Sasuke nodded tensely before moving over to his Sensei, wanting to ask what the scroll was about but knew enough to know when the man was annoyed and didn't want to aggravate him even more. So he reluctantly ate his meal as he gave his body time to rest. His body was hurting pretty badly, and, though he didn't want to admit it, Kakashi had been right that his body wasn't durable enough yet to even begin the basics of weighted training. When he finished his meal he started to think about the upcoming exam. Due to him leaving the exam early he never got to see any of the other opponents so he wasn't sure how Gaara was going to fair. He only ever saw the boy in action once and truthfully he didn't see much from what he saw other than his defence which his Sensei assures the technique his was learning would be more than enough to break the redhead-Jinchūriki's defence and defeat him easily. That was still just a dream at the moment; he needed to train more.

Sakura sighed as she ran with Tenten around the village; this was not what she wanted to be doing. Sure she wanted what was best for Sasuke-sama but to not be with him and watch him train was almost sickening to her. What was sickening to her was that she had to be trained by her Sensei's eternal rival, Might Guy. Every day was like torture for her. If you can't ran 500 laps around the village, then its 1000 punches on the punching board. If you can't do that then you have to do 1500 kicks on the kicking boar, and if you can't do that, its 2000 push-up. The sickening voice of the 'Green Demon', as she liked to call him, always manage to echo into her mind like some sort of Genjutsu that never seemed to go away no matter how much she tried. But it was all going to be worth it as she knew she was going to be strong enough to become one with Sasuke. She now knew that fawning over him all the time wasn't going to get to him. Show knew she had to show him that she was going to be the greatest Kunoichi in the world, and then he would finally accept her and not that stupid Ino-pig.

"Hurry up, Sakura-chan" Rock Lee called to her as he passed her for the umpteenth time, "You must show the will of hard work if you are going to demonstrate the flames of your youth to everyone"

Sakura sighed, she also had the aggravating problem that Rock Lee had a huge crush on her and was always trying to get her favour. Couldn't he tell she wasn't interested in him at all?

Danzō fumed as he listened to another failed report on the location of the demon-brat and his two companions. He knew the groundwork for Konoha inside and out, there should be nowhere he could go without him knowing. There was no chance that he could leave the village as the council had forced probation on the ex-ninja of the mist and his disciple as to ascertain their loyalty to the village. He knew the boy would not risk that if what he said in the interrogations were true, and he knew it was as he was pumped more than enough of the truth-serum for him not to lie at all. Once again, he ordered his sensor-root to scour the village, hoping beyond anything that they find him once and for all. Who knows what the demon could be doing to corrupt the brat.

Author: A short one, I know. But I should be publishing normally soon, I hope. Also, I'm putting up a little thing on my profile for a question I've been thinking of for a while now; it may not come into play later in the story, though.
