Emma woke up to see that there were pink balloons all around her room. She was curious as to why they were there. She got out of her big girl bed and started to play with some of the balloons.

"Happy Birthday Emma!" Roland and Henry said excitedly as they ran into her room. Henry picked up his little sister and tickled her.

Regina and Robin both walked into the room and took some pictures with their phones. Emma looked so happy, but she also looked confused.

Robin took Emma into his strong arms and kissed her forehead. "Emma today is your birthday. A birthday means that you are growing into a big girl. You are now four years old." He said as he showed her how to make the number four with her fingers.

Regina smiled as she pulled out a cute birthday outfit from the closet that she had bought about a week ago online. Emma could mostly change by herself, but she still needed some help so, Regina helped the blonde put on her pink sparkly dress that had a number 4 on the front of it; she also helped Emma put her dress shoes on. "Look at my pretty girl!" Regina said as she hugged the birthday girl.

Emma jumped excitedly in the bounce house that was shaped like a castle. She was having so much fun with her brothers and with her friend Alexandria. Her parents were talking with everyone who showed up to her party.

"Hi, aunty Red!" She yelled out loud as she waved her tiny arms in the air as she jumped really high due to Henry jumping next to her.

Ruby laughed as she waved back to the blonde. "Happy Birthday Emma!" She turned around and asked Regina where she should put her present.

"Where's Granny?" Regina asked as she looked around their backyard.

Ruby placed her present on the table. "She's still unloading all of the presents that she bought for Emma. Oh, and I need to help her get the cake out of the truck, I almost forgot." She said as she ran back to the truck.

"I think there are more presents here for Emma than the number of presents Santa brought for the kids last Christmas," Robin said as he laughed a little. He was amazed by the amount of love that most of Storybrooke had for his daughter.

"Mommy, when can we eat that pretty cake that Granny made?" Emma asked as she wiped the pizza sauce from her face. This was her first ever party and it was for her and she was feeling a little overwhelmed and tired. Henry had told her that after they eat cake that she can open presents.

Regina could tell that the blonde was having fun; but she could also see that Emma was getting tired since she hadn't taken her usual 2:00 nap. "Hold on sweet girl let me go tell Daddy that you are ready for the cake." She said as she got up to go look for her husband.

Everyone sat around Emma as Robin lit the number 4 candle and smiled as he saw the blonde's eyes sparkle with wonder and excitement. "Okay Emma we are going to sing to you and then when we are done you get to blow out your candle and make a wish." He said as he started to sing and waited for everyone to join in with him.

"Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday Dear Emma

Happy Birthday to You."

Henry and Roland sang the loudest and Emma clapped to everyone singing and she even blushed when they sang her name. When the song ended, she closed her eyes and made a wish that her mommy and daddy would adopt her; and she wouldn't have to ever leave this family. She blew out her candle and everyone cheered loudly.

Once everyone had eaten their cake Regina and Robin stood up and they looked at each other before looking at everyone. Robin cleared his throat as he started to get very emotional. "Regina and I have an announcement to make before we open presents. Almost a year ago Emma came into our lives and from the moment we became her foster parents we knew that she belonged in our family." Robin started to lose his composure as a few tears fell down his face.

Regina picks up Emma who is looking at her daddy with confusion. "Emma, we have a very special present for you. Friends and family, we would like to announce that we have officially adopted Emma and she is officially our beautiful daughter!" Regina said excitedly but with her voice filled with emotion as Henry and Roland both jumped out of their seats and ran up to her and Robin.

All of the birthday guests got up from their seats and clapped loudly. Some people were crying tears of happiness. Ruby stood off to the side and snapped a few pictures of the happy family.

Emma was crying tears of happiness as her wish had truly come true. She hugged her mommy and daddy and she hugged her brothers tightly. "Thank you, mommy and daddy, I love, you and I love RoRo and ReRe so much!"

Emma had opened all of her presents which took about an hour to open all of them even with Roland and Alexandria's help. She got a princess playset, a few floor puzzles, lots of girly clothes and bows to put in her hair, a mermaid blanket, a large unicorn stuffed animal, a princess castle tent that came with fairy lights, Barbie dolls, a huge barbie dream house complete with an elevator, some lego's, a unicorn backpack filled with preschool supplies, and a lot more toys.

Regina picked up Emma who had fallen asleep while unwrapping her last gift. "Come on birthday girl it's time to take a nap." Emma wrapped her arms around the brunette and fell back asleep.

Robin thanked everyone for coming and for all of the presents. Ruby and Granny helped pick up the mess and Ella and her husband helped Robin deflate the bounce house as the kids helped throw away all of the wrapping paper.

"So, when will Emma start preschool?" Ella asked Robin as they had finished what they were doing.

"We have already enrolled Emma and she should start next week. Sadly, Roland and Alex will be in kindergarten, so she won't really know anyone when she starts but I know she will be just fine." Robin said as he smiled at his friends. "Thank you again for coming and for helping me clean up."

Alex tugged on her mommy's dress, "mommy I'm tired can we go home?" She said as she rubbed her sleepy eyes.

Ella picked up her daughter and they said goodbye one last time as they left the birthday party.

I finally updated this story. I am so sorry that I have not updated in so long. So much has happened and I truly felt like I had lost inspiration for this story. I apologize if my writing style isn't the same or isn't as good as before. I have become slightly rusty. What did you think of Emma's birthday party? I will try to post another chapter this week or weekend. Thank you again for reading and reviewing.
