Act 2 – Scene 4 – I'd love pizza
Song: Teenage Dream – Katy Perry
Alec waited at the door nervously, he had pressed the buzzer labelled 'BANE'.
"Who is this? I don't have time for this, I have to prepare a meal for an Adonis so be quick."
"Who's this Adonis you've got coming?" Alec asked, "Was he before or after me? Am I interrupting?"
"Ooh, Alexander! You're early! The Adonis is so obviously you." Magnus replied. "Anyway, please come up."
The intercom disconnected and a ping sounded, alerting Alec the door was open. He walked into the dark, dank stairwell anxiously and climbed the rickety stairs. Magnus' was the top flat. Alec hadn't expected this from the Broadway actor. He'd expected a flash and lavish penthouse, full of extravagance.
When he reached the top floor, he saw that the door was already open and Magnus was leaning against the doorframe looking very sexy. Magnus was wearing a green waistcoat, that complemented his eyes nicely but was only half buttoned up and black skinny jeans, that clung to him like a second skin, he was make up free (apart from glitter) and his hair was down. He grinned at Alec and he felt his heart flutter and his cheeks heat up.
"Magnus." Alec smiled.
"Hello, my Adonis." Magnus purred, walking up to plant a kiss on Alec's lips. Too soon he broke away and grabbed Alec's hand, pulling him into his apartment.
Magnus' apartment, unlike like the stairwell, was pleasant. It was surprisingly spacious and pleasant, the door opened up onto a large room which was obviously the living room/dining room (it had a huge TV and a hot pink sofa, among other furniture). An archway went into a kitchen and there was a corridor with, what Alec presumed, were the bedrooms and bathroom. Music was playing softly from the stereo.
"Welcome to Casa Del Magnus." Magnus smiled.
"It's lovely." Alec smiled up at him. He looked so beautiful that Magnus couldn't help but lean down and kiss him. The kiss was longer than the latter, and gave Magnus the unshakeable feeling that he was captivated by Alec, he was too enthralled to ever be without him – like a drug. They broke apart when Magnus remembered the food in the oven. He disappeared into the kitchen, telling Alec to get comfortable.
"You're early so, it'll be while." He called from the kitchen.
"It's fine." Alec replied, he was sat on the hot pink sofa when a cat jumped up onto his lap. The cat was small and fluffy, almost a ball of white and tabby. "Hello, little one." Alec spoke to the cat that looked at him – he had the same golden green coloured eyes as his owner. Alec recalled Magnus talking of him fondly. Alec smiled and scratched the cat's head, the cat started purring delighted at the attention.
"That's Chairman Meow." Magnus sad quietly from the archway into the kitchen. He padded over and sat the other end of the sofa, his back against the arms rest and his long legs stretched in the space between the, and remained glaring at the small feline as it begged for Alec's attention. "He's shameful, not even subtly asking for your attention."
"Are you jealous of a cat?" Alec looked at Magnus incredulously.
Magnus opened his mouth and then closed it, then opened it again and closed it. "Well, who wouldn't? Especially when you're the one who's giving him so much attention."
"Magnus…" Alec breathed, his eyes were the deepest blue. Magnus moved closer and kissed Alec. The kiss was long and slow, somewhere in the middle of it Chairman got bored of not having attention and moved, allowing Magnus to get closer to Alec, by the end of the kiss Magnus was straddling his lap. Magnus leaned down so their foreheads touched.
"You're beautiful, you know that?" Magnus whispered to Alec, who blushed despite his effort not too.
"I'm not as captivating as you though." Alec whispered back.
"You're my definition of perfect." Magnus replied, smiling slightly. His eyes daring Alec to argue back with the cliché romantic sayings.
"Really, well then. If you look up enchanting in the dictionary there are no words but your name." Alec eyes urged Magnus to respond, to try to beat him in both the cliché and cheesiness department.
"Well, darling..." Magnus was cut off from his response by the loud shrill of a timer, it made both of them jump. "Dinner, is apparently served."
Magnus was sat opposite Alec in the kitchen, he had turned the lights down and had lit candles to try to make a romantic atmosphere, the table was small, with a red table cloth and a rose in the centre. Served in front of them was Magnus' homemade lasagne.
"It looks delicious." Alec smiled at Magnus.
"Not as delicious as you." Magnus couldn't help himself, Alec looked positively edible tonight. He wore tight grey jeans – they hugged his figure just right - and a tight aqua patterned shirt that complemented his eyes and really set off his dark hair and snowy complexion.
"Magnus…" Alec trailed off, his thoughts lost as their eye met.
"Shall we eat?"
"We shall." Alec replied. Magnus smiled and tooked in, he cut the lasagne into a manageable piece and slowly put it in his mouth, just as Alec had. Magnus tried his hardest not to gag.
The meal looked nice, it was garnished and cooked just right – not burnt but not underdone – but the taste was horrendous. The tomatoes were too acidic, the garlic was a little strong, the pastry was hard and the cheese tasted wrong. He clasped a hand to his mouth and forced himself to swallow the vile meal before he glugged a huge amount of his water to rid himself of the nasty aftertaste. He looked at Alec worriedly who had gone a pale green colour but was continuing with the meal nonetheless. He was too polite for his own good.
"Have you got taste buds?" Magnus asked, incredulously.
"Yes." Alec replied hesitantly. "It's not so bad, compared to Izzy's cooking."
"Really?"
"Yeah. She made cookies that not even the pigeons would eat." Alec told him. "Don't even get me started on the meatloaf, she made. It was green!"
"Really?" Magnus asked sceptically.
"Yup."
"You don't have to eat this. No living thing should eat this, it is true torture." Magnus replied, he picked up their plates "Let's just get takeout. Do you mind pizza?"
"I'd love pizza." Alec smiled.
"The phone is through there," he gestured to the living room, "The number should be next to it, if you want to order whilst I wash the dishes." Magnus told him as he walked over to the bins and dumped his failure into them.
"Okay." Alec responded and Magnus heard him leave the room to call the takeout number, Magnus himself started washing the dishes, feeling ashamed he couldn't at least cook one meal for Alec. According to the recipe, lasagne was supposed to be simple to make, he'd followed the instructions correctly too. Magnus' shoulders sagged as he started washing the plates with more anger.
He felt strong arms encircle his waist as a warm body pressed into his back and he calmed down almost immediately. Alec's smell surrounded him, he smelt like ink, sandalwood and Alec, Magnus took in a deep breath and relaxed.
"Don't beat yourself up about it." Alec whispered in Magnus' ear, making him shiver, especially when Alec's tongue licked his earlobe slightly. Alec swayed them slightly to the music – a slow melodic tune. Magnus had now forgotten the pots waiting to be cleaned and was completely enthralled with Alec. "I'm overjoyed that you bothered to try to make me a meal from scratch instead of buying one initially. Most people wouldn't bother. So thank you for trying."
"I just feel so useless." Magnus sighed. He didn't have a great self-esteem despite his confident façade. Alec's hands were tracing patterns across his flat stomach and he suddenly thought the layers of clothing between them was too much.
"You are not useless. You are beautiful, irresistible, funny, kind, sweet and I really like you. I really like, like you." Alec told him "You are everything I've ever wanted."
"Alec…" Magus leaned into Alec more, the smaller taking most of the taller's weight.
"Turn around." Alec commanded huskily. Magnus did as he was told, his face was inches away from Alec's and the younger's cobalt blue eyes were darkened by lust. Alec closed the distance between and their lips connected.
It was a sweet kiss. One that reassured Magnus that Alec had meant every word he had said, it helped him feel okay again and he recomposed himself. He let his emotions into the kiss too, so Alec would be reassured that Magnus like liked him too. Alec removed his mouth from Magnus' and began kissing along Magnus' long and slender neck, Magnus ran his hands along Alec's back and pulled him closer. Magnus groaned when Alec bit his ear slightly and Alec jerked back, wide eyed.
"Did I hurt you?" he asked, his concern was so obvious that Magnus immediately wanted to hug Alec and never let him go.
"No, quite the opposite." Magnus smirked, Alec gulped. He knew that smirk, that predatory glint in Magnus' emerald eyes. He also felt himself being pulled under Magnus' charms, so when the older had pounced toward Alec and pressed Alec against the fridge with his hands pinned behind him, he completely didn't mind.
Magnus grinned again at Alec's expression, he looked so beautiful. The blush on his cheeks was more evident, and he watched Magnus with half curiosity and half longing. Magnus tilted Alec's head back against the fridge so he could get to his neck better, Alec made a whimpering sound at feeling so vulnerable and Magnus chuckled.
He began kissing Alec's neck and left marks, claiming Alec as his own. Alec made little moaning sounds each time Magnus' lips touched his skin, Magnus then moved onto the shorter's ear. He bit it slightly and Alec moaned louder, Magnus grinned and then returned to Alec's lips. They battled for dominance but in the end Alec let Magnus win, Magnus' hands were in Alec's messy black locks, his body keeping the younger in place. They only broke apart when the doorbell rang. Magnus stepped back and grinned at Alec before leaving the room to answer the door.
Alec sighed, he put his hand to his slightly puffy lips and smiled. This affair may be dangerous and wrong to Camille, but Alec didn't care, it felt right. And he'd be damned if he didn't enjoy it…
"The rest of their evening consisted of pizza and… kissing." I felt my face contort into, what I presume to be an 'ugly' expression, though I find it hard to believe I could ever be 'ugly'.
He raised an eyebrow but said nothing. "What's wrong with them?"
"Nothing." I snapped too harshly, "You'll see."
W/M: I'm really sorry I haven't updated in forever. It's just with having written this fic before I feel detached from it, like it's not actually real – safe to say I'm never writing and finishing a fanfic then posting it, again - and I keep forgetting to post more. So I'm very sorry for neglecting it.
As usual, what do you think?
