I'm back with another chapter all I'm going to say is strap in because for the next couple chapters it's going to be a wild ride.

Chapter14 The Incomplete Heart

It had been two weeks since Miles and Rachel had been arrested for their crimes and the moms were beginning to get back to semblance of normalcy which was good since the trio was inching closer to their due dates, Clare was just about two-thirds of the way through her pregnancy and really starting to feel it while Imogen and Maya were well into their second trimesters enjoying the benefits of this particular time in their pregnancies.

Everything was looking bright for everyone especially Alli who managed to make peace with her parents over her being involved with Clare and the second mother to their fourth coming granddaughter which also came with added bonus of finding out that Alli had an uncle who left her a sizable inheritance that was to given to her upon the arrival of her first child.

Maya was recovering nicely from her injuries with Bianca's help of course, Bianca had caught a severe case of mama bear syndrome since Maya was released from the hospital making sure she attended all of Maya's doctor's appointments as well as her parenting and birthing classes no matter how she had to maneuver classes as well as mentoring schedule at Degrassi.

Imogen and Fiona couldn't wait until their daughters arrived especially Fiona who seemingly had their daughters figured into the loft living arrangements and their furniture picked out and ready to be brought in but was reined in by Imogen who had decided that she didn't want the twins to be raised in Toronto instead she wanted to move to New York and start the new chapter of her life in the city of dreams and even though Fiona was hesitant at first Imogen assured Fiona that a fresh start in New York was best for the four of them.

Alli and Clare had also made a decision concerning their futures Clare had received early acceptance into Columbia which after some networking an agreement was struck to allow Clare to take her first year of classes online while she adjusted to motherhood.

Meanwhile Alli who was all but committed to MIT worked a bit of her own magic and got into Columbia as well.

While Columbia was her third choice getting involved with Clare but after talking with Clare Alli gave Columbia some real thought and realized she would have the best of both worlds being able to pursue her passion in the medical field as well as being able to stay close to her girlfriend and daughter which was most important to her.

The only ones that hadn't made their plans known post baby were Maya and Bianca but unbeknownst to anyone both Bianca and Maya had spoken about their plans and would be making them known soon enough.

The trio returned to school after a week out knowing their ordeal was the top item on the Degrassi rumor mill no one outside of the parents and the couples that had been involved with Drew's incident had known how everyone was holding up post hospital.

Rumors about Maya and her baby were the wildest everything from she staged the whole thing to get a piece of the Hollingsworth fortune to Miles had Maya abducted and sent away.

The mom trio prepared for their return to Degrassi flanked by their girlfriends ready to ward off any hecklers but when the SUVS pulled up to the front of the school everyone was blindsided by the mass amount of reporters that were surrounding the school entrance as the moms emerged from the cars.

"Girls is it true Miles Hollingsworth was the mastermind of the Taser incident?" one reporter asked as Bianca and Fiona fought through the reporters to get the girls inside were Mr. Simpson was waiting.

Just as Fiona was walking into the building one reporter's question caught her attention.

"Excuse me Ms. what if anything can you tell us regarding the rumor that the baby allegedly belonging to Maya Matlin was lost as a result of the alleged attack?"

Fiona was enraged by the question and knew if Bianca had been the one to answer the reporter would not be standing.

"I will only say that you shouldn't believe everything you hear and I would appreciate it if you left us alone no one involved with this matter will have a comment." Fiona stated as she was finally able to make her way to Imogen and the rest of the group in Simpson's office.

"Fiona what did those reporters ask?"

Nothing Bianca I just had to set them straight with a no comment after they came to me with a rumor about your son don't worry I squashed it civilly."

"Good if I hear one rumor about my son or my girlfriend I will sue after I rip their heads off of course." Bianca made sure to keep her cool after Maya had snapped at her a few times in regards to her temper.

"Fiona Bianca and Alli I have informed the staff and security about the safety measures that we have instituted to prevent another incident and as a precaution officer Turner has informed me there will be extra officers outside Degrassi from now on when any of girls are picked up all of Maya's teachers know about her spinal condition and are prepared to help as for Clare we know she's banned from PE and that's been handled."

"Thanks Mr. Simpson this means a lot."

"No problem Bianca."

"Alright girls you should head to class now." Mr. Simpson said as the mother trio headed towards the door out of the office.

After dropping Imogen and Clare off in class Fiona and Bianca walked Maya to class.

"Alright my little song bird I'll be here for lunch if you need anything find Adam Alli or Jenna I love you." Bianca said as she gave Maya a sweet kiss.

Once Maya was in class Fiona and Bianca made their way to the waiting car outside.

"So Bianca with Alli Clare Imogen and me off to New York after the babies are born have you and Maya decided what your plan is once your little man is born?"

"Actually we talked about its pretty much decided we aren't staying in Toronto I'm transferring schools and Maya is deferring a year."

"Okay speaking of plans and the baby if you guys are moving where are you going?"

"That's a surprise being kept under wraps for a little while longer along with the name of our little gift."

"You mean you guys already decided on a name?"

"Yeah and before you ask no I won't tell you his name we're letting everyone in on both secrets later today at the loft I already called Owen to come down after he's done with his draft commitments in Ottawa."

"The draft is today I thought that wasn't until later this year?"

"It used to be apparently it was moved up by some meeting he told me about it while on video chat but I couldn't give him full attention because a certain someone was overly horny last night."

"Say no more I get it."

The duo shared more laughs while making their way back to the loft to pick up their separate cars and head to class.

Meanwhile back at Degrassi Maya Clare and Imogen were adjusting fairly well to being at school aside from the occasional rumor being leveled at one of the mom trio the day had gone fairly well.

Once the lunch bell rang Clare Imogen Maya Adam Jenna and Connor met up like normal to grab a small snack before they left for the day to have lunch at the loft.

As the group was about to enter the café Frankie approached Maya.

"Hi Maya I know I'm probably not on your list of favorite people right now but I thought you should know I feel really bad about what Miles did to you and I'm sorry I hope someday I'll get to meet my niece or nephew and just so you know my dad spoke to the judge in Miles' case he's in juvie until the trial he won't hurt you your friends or your babies".

Maya could see that Frankie's apology was sincere and came from her heart so she hugged her.

"Frankie thanks for that and just so you know I don't blame you for what happen as for seeing the baby that's something I have to talk with Bianca about but we appreciate you coming to us."

After Frankie turned to leave Maya joined the rest of her friends in looking for a table to accommodate the rather large group finding a long table in back.

"So what's everyone say we grab a few hot chocolates and wait for Fiona and Imogen to pull up so we can get some real food at the loft?"

"Sounds like a good idea Clare but before we go there's something I have to do I'll meet up with you guys a little later I have to find Becky it seems like she's been avoiding me lately and I really want to find out what's up if anything I'll swing by the loft tonight."

Adam excused himself from the table and went to find Becky.

Fifteen minutes later Alli got an emergency message from Fiona which she read after which she looked over at Jenna and got up from the table grabbing Jenna and pulling outside.

"Alli what the hell is the matter with you?"

"I just got a text from Fiona and she says we all need to get outside and wait for her she'll be here in ten to take us to the loft apparently Sherm called Laura about the case and we all need to get to the loft now."

"Alright I'll let everyone know and meet you outside."

"Fine let's move."

Jenna gathered everyone outside to wait for Fiona and Bianca she tried to get in touch with Adam but his cellphone was off and she didn't have time to track him down.

Meanwhile at Adam's house he sat on the front step waiting for Becky to show up Adam manage to get a hold off her with a text saying he wanted to talk and sent him a message saying she had a family emergency and left just before lunch and she would meet up at his place as soon as she could.

Adam decided to use the time he was going to have to spend waiting on Becky to get his surprise in order he knew Becky had been acting off for the past couple weeks but couldn't figure out why they had gotten into little arguments over the past couple weeks but Adam just chalked it up to Becky being stressed about Drew's trial and having to testify but he also had noticed Becky was blowing a lot of their dates as of late due to needing her own head space so Adam made Becky a special apple pie using her grandmothers recipe spelling out Will You Marry Me in red icing hoping that this would ease Becky's mind and get them back to focusing on each other again.

While Adam did originally plan on proposing after the trial was over he felt like he couldn't wait any longer he was truly in love with Becky and he wanted her to know he was more important to him than anyone else in the world.

Meanwhile back at the Coyne loft Imogen Maya Clare and the rest of their friends were sitting in the living room with Laura and Sherm awaiting to hear what was going on with the case.

"I'm glad you're all here I have some good news and some bad news."

"What is it Sherm give us the bad news first." Fiona said in a mild panic.

"Well I spoke to the judge in Drew's case and he told me Drew's lawyer is looking to plea bargain in exchange for a liter sentence a deal I'm inclined to take."

As soon as Bianca heard this she snapped.

"Sherm listen and listen good that son of a bitch put all of us through the wringer I'll be dammed if he skates on lesser charges."

"Well if I decline the deal that means all of face him in open court in front of a jury and with Mr. Hollingsworth's son involved that mean a media circus/"

"Sherm we made it this far we deserve to see this case through to the end." Fiona said looking over at Maya and Clare who nodded.

"Fine if you're all sure we have two weeks before the trial."

"Sherm his is what we want as long as we have each other the trial will be no problem."

"Fine I'll tell the lawyers and the judge until then relax this'll all be over soon."

Sherm left the loft and everyone decided to let the fact that in two weeks the nightmare Drew Miles and Rachel put them through was almost over.

After about twenty minutes Fiona decided to break the tension in the room and steer the mood of the room in a different direction.

"Guys what do you say we forget the trial for the rest of the day and just have fun for the rest of the day I'll order from the restaurant a few blocks over and we have a buffet lunch."

"Sounds good Fiona I think we could all use some comfort food." Bianca said as she heard her cellphone ring.

"Guys its Owen."

"Bianca hey glad I caught you listen I just got drafted you're talking to the new Forward for the Toronto Maple Leafs."

"Congrats Owen so what's next for you?"

"Well I'll be signing my deal shortly after Christmas but I'm going back home and I'll be spending some time with my boss she is from Toronto."

"Owen just curious why are you spending time with your boss?"

"I'll let you in on that secret when we meet up where are you?"

"I'm at the Coyne loft."

"Cool I'll be over in about an hour."

"We'll see you when you get here."

After ending the call Bianca went to help Fiona set up for the caters who showed up an hour later with orders of steak rice and finger sandwiches the group enjoyed lite conversation until Owen showed up with Ashley.

Meanwhile back at the Torres house Adam was sitting on the couch waiting for Becky to show up he had Becky's engagement ring delivered a couple days ago he hid it in his stack of vintage comics which he kept in a safe he went up to his room pick up the ring and slipped it in his sweat shirt pocket.

Adam looked up at the clock and noticed it was 3:30 when he got a text from Becky saying she was down the block.

Adam decided to set the pie on the table and lite a couple of candles around the pie and head outside.

Once Adam was outside he noticed a black sedan pull up Adam wondered who was in the car because the Baker's drove a four door Adam was stunned when a tall blonde guy got out of the car and opened the passenger door revealing Becky.

Adam watched as Becky and the mystery guy shared a hug that to Adam looked innocent but he completely lost it when Becky broke the hug whispered something to her companion he controlled himself enough to let Becky walk over to him while her driver got into his car and sat there.

"Becky who is that and what did you say to him?"

"Adam I'm not going to lie to you that was my ex Todd he flew up from Florida to talk and I came over here to tell you it's over between us I don't love you anymore and I think we should just be friends."

Adam was broken he could barely contain himself.

"Becky what do you mean you don't love me anymore?"

"I mean I realized I'm still in love with Todd I hope you understand."

"Becky do you hear yourself it's been almost a year and you all of a sudden blind side me with this and you're expecting me to understand?"

"Well yeah but don't worry I'll still be your friend we had a good time and I still love you just not in a boyfriend sort of way you helped save my life when Drew attacked us and for that I'm grateful now I have to go Todd is waiting for me."

Adam heard this and snapped he just let anger take over him and he was going to let Becky know what she had just done.

"Rebecca Baker you are the most heartless human being on the face of the planet I trusted and loved you I wanted to marry you but you not only lied to me you took my heart and crushed it like it didn't even matter and for that I will never ever forgive you!"

"I'm sorry you feel that way Adam but that's the truth now I really have to go have someone call me about the case goodbye."

With that Becky went back to Todd's car and the pair drove off.

Adam stormed back inside headed for the table where he set the pie blew out the candles and went to the kitchen where he looked in the liquor cabinet and pulled out a brand new bottle of whiskey went down to the basement with the bottle and sat on the couch.

Once the bottle was cracked Adam pulled out the ring open the box set it on the table next to his phone and began drinking.

"Here's to love and the bull shit it causes." Adam said as he raised the bottle and took a gulp of whiskey wanting to forget all about Becky and his shattered heart.

"Back the Coyne loft Bianca the moms Owen and Ashley were getting to know each other over their feast when called for everyone's attention.

"So guys I as you know I got drafted to play pro hockey in the NHL and Ashley is my boss but what you don't know is she is also my girlfriend."

"Everyone was overjoyed with the news Owen not only got to live out his dream of playing pro hockey but had fallen for his boss after rounds of hugs and congratulations Fiona and Imogen decided to reveal their news.

"Before we go any further tonight Imogen and I would like to announce that we've decided on names for our two princesses we've chosen to name them Natalie Arabella Coyne and Lauren Celestine Coyne."

"Congrats guys." Bianca said as she hugged the couple.

"Thanks B since we're all sharing big news didn't you tell me you had some news of your own you wanted to share?"

"Actually Fiona we do." Bianca replied taking Maya's hand in her own.

"After talking it over Maya and I have decided not only to move to New York to raise our baby boy but we also decided on a name so in a few short months our price Leo Anthony Matlin will help make us a complete family."

"Wow B I like the name congrats but I have to know why Leo Anthony?" Fiona asked.

"Well we chose that name because like a lion my boy has already proven he can survive and overcome anything and Anthony because of my amazingly beautiful angel of a girlfriend was watching an old movie gangster movie and the main characters name was Tony and she feel for him but the names didn't gel so we settled on Anthony hence Leo Anthony Matlin."

"Actually Bianca you're wrong our sons name is Leo Anthony DeSousa."

Bianca was stunned at this new revelation.

"Maya are you sure you want to give our son my last name?"

"Of course I am Bianca Leo is at much your son as he is mine."

"Well in that case its settled Leo Anthony DeSousa it is". Bianca replied as she and Maya shared a passion filled kiss.

"Alright you two break it up." Fiona said jokingly as the couple pulled apart.

"Hey guys we should check on Adam and Becky there's no reason they shouldn't help us enjoy all this food here." Clare interjected.

"Great idea babe I'll call them." Alli said dialing Adam.

After the phone rang five times it went to voice mail.

"That's odd Adam's not picking up."

Let me try Alli sometimes his phone acts up."

Clare got her phone and called Adam again bearing an unsuccessful call.

"That's weird Adam always picks up my calls I think one of us should go check on him."

"Don't worry Clare I'll go with Owen stay here Bianca said heading for the door.

Bianca and Owen headed for his car and made their way to the Torres house.

"I hope he's okay."

"Don't worry B he probably got caught up with Becky."

"I hope so Owen I really do."

Owen pulled up to the Torres home and knocked on the door after about five minutes Bianca and Owen went around to check the basement.

When they looked inside they saw Adam on the couch alone seemingly passed out so the opened the sliding door and to their shocked they found the bottle of whiskey Adam had opened three quarters of the way gone along with a six pack of beer with two empty cans.

"I wonder what happened here Adam isn't a drinker." Bianca remarked seeing her friend laid out on the couch.

"I don't know but whatever it was it was bad enough to put away quite a bit of boos lets chide this stuff and get him to the loft I'll pack him a bag you hide the boos and get him to the car."

"On it Owen."

Once the basement was cleaned and Adam's bag was packed Bianca and Owen took Adam back to the loft where they were going to find out what could have caused Adam to slip into such a sad state.
