I know its been a while since I've updated so feel free to reread the story to remember whats going on; and if this is the first chapter your reading, feel free to start from the beginning :) Now here we go...

''Maya I don't even know why you are here with me right now! Emily is probably... No she is in her room crying her eyes out because of you !"

Maya stopped pacing Ashleys room to look up "Me ! I still don't know what happened, what am I supposed to do?!"

Ashley just sat up an looked at Maya as if she had three heads." You should get up off your ass and go see your girlfriend ! She obviously needs you !"

''Okay Okay but tell me again what happened, she just called and you answered then she just broke down crying ?" Maya asked completely puzzled.

"Umm pretty much, she was apologizing and then she just broke down."

"God this really has turned into something else. All I wanted to do was come over and surprise my girl for her first swim meet, then Paige, and now this." Maya sighed as she sat on the corner os Ashleys bed.

BUZZ BUZZ

Maya grabbed her phone.

"Its a message from Emily!"

Ashley quickly scooted towards her. "Well open it !"

Maya opened the message and read out loud :

"Where are you ? Its about Emily..."

Ashley and Maya quickly look up in confusion, first wondering who is using Emilys phone if its not her, and secondly whats wrong with her.

Maya in a hushed tone says "What do I say ?"

Ashley looks at her and shakes her head as she snatches Mayas phone away from her. Causing Maya to scrunch her face. Ashley begins to type

"Who is this?"

shortly after the text is sent

BUZZ BUZZ

TEXT: "Its Carmen, so where are you guys at, its important!"

Ashley read the message "Its Carmen..She was with Em."

Ashley looks at Maya waiting on her to react.

Maya takes a deep breath and tells Ashley to let Carmen know to meet them at her dorm.

While waiting for Carmen to show up Ashley and Maya converse among themselves, trying to figure out who is the Carmen chick and how does she know Emily.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Ashley stops talking and nods towards Maya, signaling for her to answer the opens the door and greets Carmen with a very unpleasant look. Letting her now, she is not on her good side.

Carmen walks into the room with her hands up saying "Look I know you hate me and we started off on the wrong foot. So let me explain then we can work on helping you fix your girl, since it seems your struggling in that area." Carmen says with a smug smile making her way to the couch in Ashleys room.

Maya shuts the door, shooting daggers at Carmen with her eyes as she walks to Ashelys bed sitting on the corner of it. The room is silent waiting for Carmen to begin talking, until Ashley clears her throat.

"Okay well get to explaining."

So Carmen starts from the beginning, being honest telling them how her and Em met, to her mom finding out she was lesbian, even telling them about the note she sent Em breaking up with her; and finally ending it with her being there at Danby trying to get her back. Carmen then admits that she tried hooking back up with Em, which Emily turned her down.

That part of the story causes Maya to smirk a little, knowing Emily didn't cheat.

Once Carmen finished her long detailed story, she looked up at Maya and Ashley waiting for a response. In return Ashley looked at Maya as well, they were both looking at her, and Maya could feel their eyes on her, as she thought to herself...

Maya respected that Carmen told her, her and Emilys history, and respected that she was here actually trying to help HER get her girl back. Maya took a deep breath getting off the corner of the bed, and walked over to Carmen. She stopped about a foot away from her and out stretched her arm.

"I respect that you just told me that, And im willing to put our brief beef behind us if you are?"

Carmen looked at her, then smiled standing and shaking Mayas hand then bringing her into a hug.

"Thanks bro, I know you have a gem. And I know she loves you, and I cant stand in between that."

As they hug Ashley being her funny self brings some light to the situation saying...

"Aww alright love birds, but your not the two in the relationship. So now that thats behind us lets figure out how were gonna fix Mayas mess."

They gather round, coming up with the most romantic and epic way to get Maya back to Emily. The plan involves candles, strawberries, a note, and one unsuspecting girlfriend...

Carmen returns back to Emilys dorm with her "surprise to cheer her up". And that surprise is Maya, Carmen smiles to Maya as she motions for her to stay there, as she walks back into the dorm. With Emily in the bed in the same state she left her in, which was a mess. She walks over to a sniffling Emily as she goes to comfort her. She sits next to her on the bed letting her know she has her surprise.

"Alright Em, Im back and have exactly whats gonna cheer you up."

Emily looks at her confused, because she knows that she just saw Carmen walk in empty handed.

"Is this some kind of joke, because theres nothing in your hands...wait are you the surprise." Emily looks at her shocked as she sits up

"Look Carmen you know I told you, I love Maya, I cant just get ov..."

Emily is cut off by Carmen placing her finger over her lips, looking into her eyes getting her to stop talking. Emily scrunches her face as she pulls back. Carmen just pulls Emily out of the bed, and walks her towards the bathroom. She chuckles to herself

"Em I know your in love with Maya and trust me I get it. No I am not the surprise. But in order for you to get the surprise, I need you to go into the bathroom and close your eyes."
Emily follows her to the bathroom looking confused.

"Wait ! Why do I have to close my eyes, whats goi..."

Once again Carmen cuts her off

"You sure do ask alot of questions for someones who's heart broken." she laughs before continuing

"But as I was saying your going to stay in here, until you here three knocks. Then your gonna come out with your eyes closed okay."

She looks at Emily for assurance the she understands, she waits to hear Emilys response

Emily huffs "Okay Okay I get it, now hurry with my surprise"

She says as she shuts the bathroom door.

"Perfect!" Carmen whispers to herself.

She then goes to the bag she dropped by the door with out Emily seeing. Taking out the candles, whip cream and strawberries.

Carmen carefully places each candle one by one all over Emily's dorm. Turning her room into an ocean of warm colors bouncing off of the walls. She then grabs a little plastic bowl she finds in the kitchen and as quietly as possible sprays whip cream into the container. While also tasting a little for herself "MMHHMMM.." She moans to herself. She then takes out the strawberries placing them on a plate. Then taking the whip cream and strawberries placing them on the bed side table. She gives the room one last look before calling out to Emily "Remember wait for the three knocks, and come out with your eyes closed!"

Emily yells back through the door impatiently "Okay Okay, I know!"

Carmen the giggles to herself "Dont say I never gave you anything"

Before walking out the door seeing Maya leaning against the frame looking nervous.

"Its all set up, shes waiting for you and doesn't suspect a thing."

Maya nods her head before walking into the room

She gives Carmen a hug "thank you Carmen this really means alot.."

Carmen then let her go saying "Dont worry about it, I feel like where bros now ." She laughs

"But dont worry you'll owe me. And hey dont be nervous, but please take care of your girl this time..."

Mayas gives her a nod with a little smirk before Carmen walks out the door.

Maya locks the door before taking a note out of her pocket, she thought it would add a nice touch. The note reads "You Own My Heart"

She takes a deep breath before placing the note on the bed, propping it up. Maya waits a little then she knocks on the door without saying a word.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

as the handle turns, and the door opens Maya is in awe, like she hasn't seen her girlfriend in years. There she is the Emily Fields, her girlfriend. Standing there looking beautiful as ever in simple running shorts and a long sleeve pullover, with her hair in messy waves and her eyes still puffy from crying. Standing right infront of her, with her eyes closed and a little smirk on her face.

Maya breaks from her trance taking Emily's hand, feeling that feeling that she loves. The feeling of being near the love of her life. As she is leading Emily towards the bed she sees she is still wearing the ring. And Mayas heart breaks but in a good way, in a way that lets her know she will never let this happen again.

She drops Emilys hand as she stops in front of the bed. Maya then goes behind Emily and says

"Suprise..."

She watches with a grin behind Emily as her girl opens her eyes,

Emily is confused at first,then in awe taking in the warm rays of the candles bouncing on her room walls, the strawberries and whip cream. And lastly her eyes land on the note on the bed reading "You Own My Heart"

And immediately she knows, as she turns around and gasps, with watery eyes

"Maya!..."

Alright guys I didnt want to type to much on the intro, but now im gonna talk to you guys. There it is a nice long chapter for you guys as a gift for leaving this story for so long. I always knew I would return to this story, I just didnt know when. And I didnt want to force writing on the story. So I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, if so I would love to hear from you guys.
