Katniss has always been different. She is a vampire after all. When she goes back to school to protect her family of vampires she meets Peeta Mellark who is suspicious of her. She slowly falls for Peeta but doesn't want him to get hurt by her. Little does she know that even Peeta is very different from every other boy that she's seen.

14. Visitors

Chapter 14- Visitors

I'm sitting on top of a tree.
Why? I don't know. It's just relaxing. I don't have to worry about a thing. It's peaceful, but I know I have to come down soon.

Johanna told me that they are going to be here soon. The Elders. I hate that they are coming to us, when I originally planned to come to them.

I want to know who told The Elders about Prim. They will have a slow painful death. I can promise that.

"Katniss," I hear Johanna call me. "Our visitors have almost arrived,"

I sigh and jump done from the tree, landing right on my feet. I walk with Johanna to the front door. I can smell their scent, they'll be here any second.

"Keep Prim in her room until I believe it's safe for her to come out," Johanna advises

I nod. Haymitch and Effie come outside and wait with us.

They appear out of the woods, walking side by side. Everyone but me puts on a smile, while I just stare and glare.

"It's a pleasure to meet everyone," One says

"Likewise," Johanna says

"Now someone reported your family? And why is that?"

Haymitch looks like he's about to respond but I interrupt him. "Why don't we all go inside and sit at a table. We don't want to stand out here and discuss such important topics,"

They all nod and we move inside.

"Well excuse my manners, My name is Snow," He looks at me with his snake eyes

"Well Snow, whoever told you about Prim, hasn't known her. She's my boyfriends sister and she is an Arik. She's not what you think she is," I tell him

"Oh I believe you Ms. Everdeen," He replies

"Well then why are we having this big meeting if you believe me?"

"I want to talk about your boyfriend. Tell me is he human or not?" He asks taking a sip of a drink Effie gave him

"He's human,"

"What does this have to do with anything?" Johanna cuts in

"He's part Protector and part Centar?"

"How do you know this?" I ask

"Ms. Everdeen, I've been around for a very long time. I know these things,"

"Ok, well why are you asking me if you already know?" I'm getting tired of his crap

"Ahh Ms. Everdeen. You're a feisty one aren't you?" He grins. "I'm going to give you two choices. One, you turn your boyfriend into one of us and you'll see how great the outcome is or we take Prim to work with us because she would be of great use,"

We stare each other down before I speak. "Is there a third option?" I ask foolishly.

They won't have a third option. I don't want Peeta to become one of us. I'd be trapping him in a life that's messed up but I can't let them take his sister. Why would they even need her?

He just smirks. "I'll give you a week to make your choice. We'll discuss Primrose on a different occasion," He nods then he and the other elders stand up.

"Atleast tell me who told you the lie about Prim," I say standing up with him.

All he does is stare at me and then his voice hisses in my head.

I gasp.

They turn to leave and I just stand there.

I didn't think she would scoop this low. There is only one thing to do.

I kill her.

Happy new year everyone! I finally updated! I will attempt to update again before school starts up again! I keep getting these random story ideas in my head so the next time I update i'm going to give y'all a preview of the story I'm currently writing. See y'all later :)
