In this chapter there is a poor use of Turkish. I want to apologize if i offend anyone by butchering their native tongue. All translation is via Google.
Chapter Fourteen
"Whatever Your Mother Says"
The Break
Part Two
"Merhaba, olarak kontrol edilmesi," Mark told the man at the front desk. He was checking them in their hotel in Istanbul.
The man smiled, "you speak Turkish very well."
Mark laughed, "Thank you but that's all I know. I've been practicing all week."
"You did a wonderful job."
"The reservation is under Potter."
"Yes of course, two rooms, the penthouse and the presidential suite," he said looking over the records. "If you could sign here please," Mark did as he was told, "if you take the hall towards the ballroom, there is a backset of elevators. They are private and go straight up to the penthouse. You can use the main elevators for the presidential suite, here are your keys enjoy your stay."
"Great," he said taking the keys, "teşekkür ederim."
"Estağfurullah"
Mark went over to where the Potter's were waiting, Harry was talking to the Turkish official who meant them at the Portkey and escorted them to the hotel. Ginny was ending some quarrel between her children, "we're all checked in."
"Thank you Mark"
"The back elevator goes straight to the penthouse. I have to use the main elevators to get to my suite," he beamed, "you really didn't have to do that."
"I know but I wanted to," smiled Ginny, "you go get settled and then meet us for dinner."
"Yeah I'll see you in a bit," Mark left them.
"Come on guys let's go upstairs... Harry we're all set," Harry excused himself from the gentlemen and followed his family.
"Private lifts, this is going to be amazing," Lily said as she pressed the button. The doors opened and they stepped on. "Is this how you guys always stay when you travel?"
"No love, we knew you were going to be here and went all out just for you," Harry wrapped his arm around Lily.
"If that's the truth, then perhaps we should take more family holidays," said James.
"It was the only room that made sure all of us got a bed. We could have stayed in something smaller but I would prefer you three not end up in a brawl over who has to sleep on the couch." Explained Ginny
"You didn't have to worry about that mum, Al would have been on the couch," laughed James.
"Hey! If anyone deserves a bed it's me!" Defended Al
"Don't start listing your accomplishments," James rolled his eyes
"That's enough!" Hissed Ginny, "I solved the problem, there is no need for this fight," the lift chimed and opened on a small hall. There was a set of double doors at the end, they got off the lift and Ginny unlocked the door.
The room opened on a sitting and combined dining area. The room had a complete kitchen for premiere guest who liked to travel with a personal chef. She watched as her children plowed into the magnificent room. She hoped it was still that way at check out.
"The master bedroom is ours," said Ginny
"I think I should have it," said Lily, "Dad's sleeping in the guest room wouldn't one of the double rooms be better for you two anyway."
"Thanks for the concern Lily but you take one of the double rooms."
"How about you two share and I stay by myself," offered Al
James and Lily looked at each other, "cool."
Ginny went into the master bedroom and lifted her suitcase onto the bed and opened it. Harry came in behind her and closed the door.
"Are you sure you don't want to go with Lily's suggestion"
Ginny looked over her shoulder at him and narrowed her eyes, "just for that you can sleep on the couch or you can take the second bed in Al's room."
"You're joking right"
"No"
Harry walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Ginny..."
"Please let go of me"
"No, I'm never going to let go of you."
Ginny gently removed his hands from her, "you let me go long ago." She moved to the other side of the bed.
"Gin..."
"I don't want to do this now. This whole trip is about peace so let's just keep it between us."
The room filled with shouting, Harry crossed the room and opened the door, and he went out into the sitting room, "KNOCK IT OFF!" He shouted at his children who were rolling around on the floor. Lily had James in a head lock, "James whatever's behind your back give it to me now!"
James pushed Lily off him violently and climbed to his feet and handed it to his father. "She started it!"
"I did not!"
"I don't care," Harry shouted over them. "I know your mum already had the behavior discussion with you do we need to have it again? Now straighten up and change for dinner we're leaving in half an hour." He went back to his room and closed the door behind him.
"Ginny I want to keep the peace but not if it keeps you barely speaking to me."
"I think minimal talking is better than us fighting in a foreign land."

"So what exactly do we have to do tomorrow," asked James. They were at some restaurant in the heart of the city, Harry and Ginny each sitting at the head of the table, he and Al sitting across from Lily and Mark. They were sitting alone in a private dining room to avoid the people outside the window trying to get a peek at the Potter family.
"There is a show at the Art Institute, photo shoot and interview with the daily news, the parade down Main Street, and there's that teen cocktail party," answered Mark.
"You say Gunluk Haberler so easy," comment, Harry
"I've been practicing, it's more professional when talking to the people at the paper," explained Mark
"Are there really going to be cocktails," inquired Lily.
"Shirley temples and candy," laughed Mark
"You guys can still back out if you want to," Ginny really hated them doing this. Harry's position was a family affair but she wanted to leave her children out of it. She did not like the idea of them being paraded around for publicity.
"Its fine mum, we said we'd do it," assured Al, "besides would you have brought us to Turkey if we refused."
"Probably not"
"There you go, give us free reign to run around tonight and after that cocktail party tomorrow and we'll call it even," Lily looked down at her mother hopefully.
"Give you free reign to run around," she scoffed at that idea.
"Lily last time you ran around you had to be placed under house arrest," said Harry.
"Oh come, we've never been here and we never go on holiday. I can't speak Turkish how much trouble come I possibly get into."
"We can hang out in the muggle world, there's this music hall that's supposed to be amazing," offered James, "it's called Babylon."
"Why do you know this," wondered Harry
"It's called the world wide web Dad get with the times."
"I know what the internet is James, it's been around longer than you," informed Harry
"Anyway can we go," Lily pressed
"I don't know…" Harry said uneasy. "It's up your mum."
"Since I'm an adult, I'm going. However I will not mind if my sister and brother tag along," James picked up his glass of wine.
"I'm not coming," said Al, "I have some school work"
"You brought your homework," James looked at his brother as if he lost his mind.
"I have a couple of major assignments. Professor Vector was in a right mood. You should see all the Arithmancy work she gave out."
"What about you Lily do you have any assignments?" Harry looked over to her
"Nothing major," she pretended to be distracted by the food on her plate.
"What are the minor things," Harry pressed.
"A potions assignment, a history of magic paper, and perhaps research for transfiguration," she shrugged.
"That doesn't sound minor," Ginny eyed her.
"It is if you don't think about it too much."
"I don't want to see your lack of thinking show up in your grades," stressed Ginny
"You won't"
"I already set her up for potions," explained Al, "I got her the ingredients and rewrote the direction from her textbook so she'll understand."
"Did you ever think about becoming a teacher," Mark asked Al
He shook his head, "I think I'd get bored teaching the same curriculum every year and then you have to deal with the politics. There are certain things you aren't allowed to teach in school even if they are relevant."
"I think you'd make an excellent teacher, my grades have certainly improved," Lily smiled at him.
"I think you'd make an excellent Minister," said Harry.
"No," everyone at the table said at the same time.
"It was just an idea, no need to ambush me," he laughed.
"You can always take up painting like James. If he can do it anyone can."
James narrowed his eyes at Lily, "you better be glad we're in public."
"Don't listen to her your show was wonderful," complimented Mark
"You saw my show?" James said surprised, he wasn't there opening night.
"Sorry I couldn't make it opening night but my friend was visiting but I went the next day. It was amazing."
"What friend," smirked Lily
"Wahid"
"That gorgeous hit wizard from your holiday photos," she chirped merrily, "you're so lucky!"
"I feel lucky," smiled Mark
"Mark you stud," James laughed.
"Will we be attending a commitment ceremony any time soon," inquired Al
"It's too soon for that," Mark he was feeling about embarrassed and want the subject off him.
"You're right it is because I haven't meant him informally yet," Said Ginny, "but we like him right?"
"Yes we like him very much," agreed Mark, his cheeks stained with red.
"Aw," Lily wrapped her arm around him. "You should come out with us."
"When did we say yes to you going out," Ginny said swallowing her food.
"You know you're going to say yes."
Ginny looked down the table at Harry, he shrugged. "Fine I want you all back by one, I don't care how old you are James. You guys have a busy day tomorrow."
"Spending the day looking at the work of talentless little ones," sighed Lily.
"Some of them may know what they're doing and considering some of the other things we've been forced to attend in our lifetime at least this is for a good cause," defended Al
"Look at you the opened minded"
Al shrugged, "I didn't think there would be any argument about peace being a worthy cause."
"It's not, but who wants to spend their afternoon looking at finger paintings," said James
"We still have all your finger paintings," said Harry, "I thought they showed your potential and given your talent I was right."
"Ugh, whatever, so what is the point of a peace summit anyway."
(Page Break)
"Are you sure you don't want to go catch up with your brother and sister," Harry asked as he and Al entered the room they're sharing.
"Nope," he said taking his suitcase off his bed. He picked up his school bag from the floor. He kicked off his shoes and climbed onto his bed.
"It could be fun, you like music"
"I do like music but I'd like to get my work out of the way."
Harry nodded, "you know it's alright to have some fun."
"I hope you're telling that to yourself."
"I don't have time for fun but I want you to have as much fun as possible before you can't have it any more," Harry sat on the edge of his bed.
"You don't make the future look too bright."
Harry sighed, "Al I am so confident that your future is going to be as bright as you want it."
"We'll see…so how are you?"
"What do you mean?" He asked distractedly removing his watch. He placed it on the night table then he undid the top couple of buttons of his shirt.
"You're in the guest room at home, in here with me now… I suppose it's better than mum uninviting you from the house again," Al chuckled.
"When you're married son, you'll understand." He pulled his shirt out of his pants and took his feet out of his shoes.
"Oh I'm never getting married"
Harry smiled, "that's what we all say and then she happens. She's nonsensical and always on your case about something and it will tick you off greatly but you realize you don't want to be without that aggravation."
"You really shouldn't be the spokes person for marriage," Al turned the page in his textbook.
"I shouldn't be the spokes person for lots of things. Are you seeing someone, what happened to the girl on the train platform?"
"She's just a friend"
"Really because Lily made it seem like something more"
"Lily was being overdramatic," he wasn't going to tell his father that he was trying to take it slow with Chevonne to find out if she really liked him. Given that she said she would spend time with him in Hogsmead back in January and he saw her making out with a boy from Hufflepuff, she put an end to them before they ever began. That didn't matter now anyway, there was someone else.
Harry chuckled, "she can be but she tends to be right about a lot of things."
"Does that mean she's right about hanging out with Alrick Fulton?"
Harry rolled his eyes, "she's a minor and too young to be dating a thirty year old man."
"She's not dating him and he's not thirty, he's twenty seven," corrected Al
"You know him"
"No, I'm a Screaming Banshee's fan, their music is soul piercing. And it should be they take so much time complete an album, and you can hear the detail and effort that goes into it. They've been around for eight years now and they're only on album two. You know they're only going to get better," Al looked as if he was the musician himself.
"That's nice but now all I have to worry about is her hanging with Scorpius Malfoy," Harry sneered.
"I'd call them odd friends. I've seen them at school. Generally he insults her and she insults him back and then he says see you around."
Harry sighed and stood up, "I'm going to get something to drink. Do you want something?"
"No I'm good thanks."
Harry crossed the room and went out into the sitting room. He hoped Lily wasn't turning into her mother. It all seemed to begin with a photo. He didn't go to the kitchen. He went to the room Ginny was in. He knocked, "come in."
He went inside the room Ginny was out on the balcony, he went over and joined her outside. He leaned against the railing next to her, "I just wanted to say goodnight."
"Goodnight"
"Also I was thinking of taking a few days off. I was thinking that we could um… go away just the two of us."
Ginny sighed, "You do need some time off but I would prefer not to get left all alone someplace that's not home."
"I won't leave you alone."
"I wish I could believe that."
"You can…" He reached over and stroked her hair. She closed her eyes and leaned into his hand. She wished he would keep his hands off of her, especially when she liked it. She opened her eyes and turned her head towards Harry. He stared at her and then pulled her over to him and kissed her. She let him do it and then pulled away as if she was thinking about it but she didn't go far. She could feel his warm breath on her face. As much as she hated him right now, it was comforting.
She pulled completely away from him, "come on," she took his hand pulled him back inside the room. "I want you to stay in here with me… just to sleep," she said crawling onto the bed.
"Okay," he climbed in after her. He reached over to the nightstand and turn off the light. Ginny curled up next to him. The doorbell to the suite rang. Harry reached over and turned on the light again. He climbed out of bed, "I'll be right back," he said before he left the room.
It was about a minute before Harry returned, "I'm sorry but I have go, the Minister has called me to Ankara. I don't know why but I'll be back late so I'll see you in the morning."
"Uh huh," she rolled over and turned the light out on him.
"Ginny"
"You don't want to keep the Minister waiting." Harry sighed and closed the door.
