Chapter 14: I Told You Not To Touch It

Hi everyone! I'm back! *gets evil glares from readers* Oh yeah… I was supposed to update last month… Heh heh… It kinda slipped my mind… Eek, don't kill me! I'm sorry!

So, how was everyone's Christmas?! Mine was fab ;) I got so much Vocaloid, Fairy Tail, SAO and Sailor Moon stuff!

Anyway, I don't think this is my best chapter yet. I wanted to mix things up a bit more somewhere else apart from the pairings. I wanted to slow things down a bit with Len and Miku and what better way for them to bond than to steal a priceless artefact from a museum on a school trip! Yup, I did just spoil the chapter for you ;)

Anyway, reviews:

Shrimpy-chan: Whoa, your review was long! Do you think it was Dell? Well… I think you're on the right tracks! I'm glad you like Rin and Rei! I had to give Rinny someone to love and what better way to boost my second Vocaloid OTP than to insert Rei into the story! Thanks for your review and I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year!

Writer-chan: You certainly are good at giving ideas Writer-chan! Though there will be no MikuxTei unfortunately for you. Thanks for your review and I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year!

Awesome-chan: Now your review was even longer than Shrimpy-chan's! The mystery POV… I'm not gonna say anything, mostly because I don't know how to say what my brain is thinking. Gomen… Yeah, I've always wanted a big brother to give me good advice. Len is lucky. Are you suggesting an idea there Awesome-chan? Remember that Gumi and Kaito are still in high school (though teenage pregnancy rates are going up these days…) Thanks for your review and I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year!

Guest: Now, for starters let me just point out: You spelt STORY wrong. And secondly, if you don't like my story don't bother reading it. Simple.

Awesomeness: If you hate Lenku, why did you click on this story? The summary explains that the pairings will include Lenku. Or did you not get that far?

Now that reviews are done, let's move on with the story! A.V

If there was one thing that I loved about school, it was the school trips. Well, it could've been better than going to the museum, but it got me out of boring subjects like French and Science so I was more than happy to go along.

I sat next to Teto on the bus, with Rin and Rei across from us, Gumi and Kaito a few rows back and Luka, Gakupo and Neru at the back in a three as they had managed to swipe the only three seats next to each other on the bus. The funniest part was that since everyone else in the group had already paired up, Dell and Len had to sit next to each other. I felt awkward for the two of them as they both looked equally disgusted as Len took the seat next to the silver haired boy. The pair was sitting in front of us, so Teto and I could hear their short conversation.

"You all right, Dell?"

"Hmm. You?"

"Meh,"

And that was basically all the two said for the first ten minutes. After that, Rei passed them a pack of cards (without breaking his conversation with Rin. God, they're so cute!) And the two decided to play a silent game of Go Fish. By the sounds of it, Dell was winning.

"So, Miku-chan. After the trip, Kaito, Gumi and Rin have a deadly prank for Meiko!" Teto giggled. I straightened my white headscarf which was keeping my loose strands of hair in place (I was wearing my hair down today). It matched my white t-shirt which was pulled over some navy skinny jeans and converse. Teto was wearing a red jumper with dark blue jeans and red converse, whilst her hair was in it's usual red drills.

"Are you sure we should do this? I don't wanna turn this whole thing into Mean Girls…" I replied nervously, remembering the film.

"I swear, Miku-chan! It won't get bad. Just bad enough to show Meiko that she's being a bitch and should quit whilst she thinks she's ahead!" Rin had overheard our conversation, finally pulling away from her conversation with Rei.

I glanced around the bus. Right at the back, Meiko and her friends were gossiping and giggling. I pulled my head back in quickly, not wanting her to see me and make a snarky remark. Luckily, I was too busy laughing at Len who had lost yet another game against Dell, who was sighing. I didn't even think about Meiko for the rest of the way there.

"So here is our prize tapestry which depicts a Japanese warrior battling an evil demon…blah…blah…blah…" The tour guide's words had merged together and I was no longer listening. The orange haired man's voice droned on and I was frightened that I was going to fall asleep. Man, he was so boring!

I jumped in shock when someone took my hand and pulled me all the way to the back of the large group. I looked up to see a blond male blushing, furiously.

"Hey, wanna ditch this yawn-fest and go around by ourselves?" Len asked, his sapphire eyes fixing on mine. I was transfixed for a moment, before snapping out of it quickly.

"Sure!" I grinned, as Len and I backed out of the room as quietly as we could. The last thing we needed was getting caught and given detention back at the school. We trailed around the main hall, glancing at all the artwork and artefacts.

"Man, this place is dull…" Len muttered, running a slim finger over a glass cabinet.

"Don't touch that! Geez, are you trying to get in trouble?!" I grabbed his hand, pulling it away from the delicate cabinet. A spark flooded through my veins at his touch.

"Well, it's better than dying of boredom!" Len flashed me a smile, as I rolled my eyes.

"Sure, LenLen!" My eyes were then drawn to a stand at the end of the room. It was lit up brighter than the rest of the room. "Hey, what's that?"

I dragged Len over, the blond grumbling and groaning though it was HIS idea to wander off by ourselves! The wooden stand had a blood red cushion on it, with a precious golden tiara on the top. It had red jewels going around the sides for decoration with a big rainbow jewel in the middle of it. My mouth dropped open in awe. Also in awe, Len traced his finger over the jewels on the tiara before resting his finger on the rainbow jewel. I pulled his hand away again, worried we would damage it.

"What is it?" I whispered. I noticed a label above it and squinted to read it. "Moon Tiara… I wonder what it's for?"

"It sounds like something out of a fairy story." Len scoffed, reaching over to pick it up. I gasped as he lifted it with ease and brought it closer to his face to admire it.

"Len!" I hissed as I reached up a hand to take it back and put it back on the stand. "Put it back! We'll get in trouble!"

Len moved it out of my reach. "We'll be fine! I mean, look at this! It has writing engraved on the back!" That caught my attention and I squinted over his shoulder to read it.

"Moon Princess… I wonder who that is!" I said as I finished reading the writing and focused back on Len's face. He was smiling as he looked back and forth from the tiara to me. Grinning, he placed the tiara on my head and gave me a thumbs up.

"Look Miku, you're the Moon Princess!"

"E-Eh?!" Blushing furiously, I reached up to take the precious tiara off my head when Len took my hands with his own and pulled them away. Looking up to him in confusion, he replied,

"It looks cute on you. Leave it on,"

"L-Len…"

He just smiled at me as the butterflies in my stomach flapped around more. He had just called me cute, and put a priceless tiara belonging to a princess on my head! How could I not be flattered?

Just then, I heard voices outside the room and my head snapped towards the door where the sound was coming from.

"Uh oh! We're screwed!" I yelped, as Len grabbed my hand and pulled me towards a curtain at the back of the room. He pulled it over and we both slipped behind it, undetected. Len covered us again and we both kept as silent as we could whilst the tour guide and the rest of the school kids went by. It suddenly dawned on me that there wasn't a lot of space behind here, causing Len and I to become pretty close together… Trying to take my mind off it, I peeked out from behind the curtain, and could see my friends.

Watching them was a little weird. They were whispering to one another, glancing behind them every so often. Maybe they were wondering where Len and I were. I gritted my teeth as Meiko stuck her tongue out at them. But they simply responded with the same gesture.

"Shh…" Len whispered as he managed to place his finger on his lips. "They'll pass soon," I nodded at his words and soon enough, it was just the two of us in the room again.

"Phew…" I mimed wiping sweat from my forehead as we came out from behind the curtain. I was glad the girls weren't here, or there would have been teasing that we had did something behind that curtain… I turned to face Len, the blond greeting me with a grin.

"Well that was fun!" He said cheerfully, making me smile as well. Sighing, I brushed my turquoise hair out of my face.

"Yeah, I guess it was…" I admitted. I looked down at my wrist where my watch was and froze at the time. "Though we should really hurry and meet up with the others. The bus is about to leave!"

"Ok, let's go!" Len grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the door where our group had exited. It was only until we were about to meet up with the group when I realized I still had the Moon Tiara on my head!

"Len!" I hissed, pulling him back a bit. Shocked, he gave me a confused look until I pointed to the tiara on my head.

"Len, we need to return this! Right now!"

"But the bus is going to leave!"

"But-!"

"Here," Len turned me around and took the tiara off my head before placing it carefully in my white backpack which I had brought off the bus with me. "We'll come back later and return it, ok?"

I nodded in agreement as we sprinted towards the others, just making it in time for a register to make sure everyone was there. We were lucky to have made it in time.

We were directed on to the bus, much to my relief. I went to sit next to Teto again, but Len pulled me into a seat next to him with a grin on his face.

"Be careful," He said as I placed my backpack at my feet. I smiled knowingly back at him as I buckled my seatbelt and waited for the bus journey to begin. Rin winked at me from across the bus, as she sat down next to Gumi. Rei sat next to Kaito, Luka and Gakupo sat together and Teto and Neru sat together. I guessed the blonde was winking at me because she thought I was flirting with Len, not whispering about a stolen artefact.

"You do realize what'll happen if we get caught?!" I hissed, lowering my voice as Meiko stalked past. She stopped at our seats, glaring at me yet somehow still managing to smile at Len.

"Oh… Hi, Len-kun!" She giggled, her cheeks turning rosy. I sighed as I looked away. I could feel the brunette's eyes on me, so she must have heard my sigh. I turned back round to look at her, and just as she opened her mouth to say something…

"You better hurry to the back, Meiko. You wouldn't want anyone to take your seat! I mean, it's the best seat on the bus. We wouldn't want someone to take it from its rightful owner!" Len babbled quickly with no emotions in his words. However, Meiko chose to ignore this as she laughed and went on her way, waving at Len as she disappeared. Len didn't wave back, instead turned towards me smiling.

"Its rightful owner?!" I said, giggling. Len laughed too, resting his head on the back of the seat and closing his eyes. I smiled at him, staring at him for a few moments whilst lacing my fingers together. Now all we needed was to keep this tiara hidden from prying eyes like Meiko's until we could deliver it back to the museum. But on the bright side, at least now Len and I shared a bond which was seemingly unbreakable.

Hell, we'd just stolen a priceless tiara. If that wasn't friendship, I don't know what is!
