A/N: Hey guys, sorry about the break. I had a really bad writer's block with this and my other fanfics so I decided to leave it for a while. But it's all good, the muse has returned so you may expect more updates now. Remember to R&R pretty please with sugar on top :)

The turtles and their younger sister continued on home in tense silence. Since running into her during their search the pink haired girl had hardly said a word, much to her brothers' disappointment. Each of the guys had tried their hand at trying to get the child to open up to them, but they were all met with the same fake smile and nod of the head. Even Mikey's bad puns and jokes couldn't get a word out of the normally bubbly turtle. This in turn set a deep feeling of dread in the stomach of the brothers, especially the eldest turtle, Leonardo. He'd gone through a similar phase himself once, and knew from prior knowledge that things were only going to get a lot worse before they got better. But for now all he was able to do was keep an eye on his only sister, and hope that whatever was going on with her that she'd let them help. The group was halfway home by now when Florence came to a halt. Her brothers stumbled to a stop behind her and stared at her curiously. Leonardo, being the closest, reached out and laid a hand on her shoulder.

"Florie, you okay?" the blue clad turtle received no reply. "Florence if something's wrong then you-,"

"I'm fine, I just...I just..." Florence found her chest began to tighten.

This was where it happened, this was where her mother drew her last breath. Where she met her end for the sake of her daughter. Tears started to swell in her eyes; Florence would never be able to met her mother; the realisation of this causing her heart to clench. Florence started to cry, if she had been just a little older, a little more aware, then she might have been able to do something. She might have been able to save her. As Florence's sobs grew louder she felt a herself being pulled until she found that she had been enveloped in a hug by Leo. At first the girl moved to reject the kind gesture, but when the rest of her brothers joined in she no longer wanted to. The tween alien returned the hug before her brothers broke away. All of a sudden the girl felt herself flush with embarrassment. While she had lost her mother (and she may as well have lost her father too) Florence had been able to grow up with a loving family, regardless of the loss. The young extra-terrestrial felt like a foolish child for not noticing sooner. And now because of her foolishness she had gone and revealed herself to the enemy, putting her life and that of her family's at risk.

Florence gazed at her brothers for a moment longer, then dropped her eyes to her now four-fingered hands. This was going to be one of the longest nights of the young alien's life; it didn't need to be extended any more than need be. It took a minute but eventually she was able to form some sort of apology.

"Guys I.. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! For everything! I never meant to make such a mess of things I just," Florence paused and took a minute to allow her brothers to decipher her speed talk before going on. "I just had to know the truth, I had to know why Bishop kept appearing in my dreams. I never should have done so without Sensei's permission."

Leo, Raph, Don and Mikey held confused expressions as their sister knelt in front of them and touched her forehead to the ground.

"Please forgive me,"

Raphael moved first, kneeling down next to Florence. As she sat up he threw one arm around her shoulders and raised the other and gave her a noogie. "Well I may not be able to speak for these boneheads, but I could never stay mad at ya green bean."

Raph's voice seemed to break the spell that his brothers were under, spurring the remaining turtles into action. Leo knelt on the other side of his sister and ruffled her hair with an accepting smile. Donnie, after watching the young girl attempt to fix her mess of hair, knelt in front of her and fixed her hair for her. Mikey (who felt like he needed to out-do his brothers) picked up Florence and placed her on his shoulders, the former giggling all the while.

"Cheer up and hold on tight, cause airline Mikey is about to take off. Next stop; the home of the one, the only, the amazing Turtle Titan and his awesome sidekick, the Pink Haired Wonder!"

Florence's giggles turned into full fledged laughs as Michelangelo took off in a sprint; with Leo, Raph and Donnie close behind.

"Mikey, Mikey be careful," Leo called anxiously as his youngest brother slide around a sharp corner, nearly throwing their sister from his shoulders. The orange banded turtle heeded his brother and slowed to a jog, but continued none the less.

"Relax Leo, Mikey may act like a total clown, but he's a good big brother," Donnie withheld an amused smirk as he watched Leo's mouth open and close like that of a fish.

"Yeah Leo, and beside, when was the last time you heard Flo laugh," Raphael had made a very good point. Florence had not laughed since waking from her coma.

"I guess you're right. But still, aren't you guys worried about what Florence found out from Bishop?"

Raph frowned at his eldest brother before turning his icy stare to the sewers ahead of him. "Found out from Bishop? Bro we don't even know if she met up with that wacko in the first place!"

Leo gave his younger brother a look that clearly read 'did you really just say that?'. "Ahh Raph, why would she even bring up Bishop if she hadn't met up with him?"

Raph didn't answer but merely glared in response.

"Well I guess we'll find out who's right soon enough," Donatello stated, drawing his brothers attention. "We're home,"

Michelangelo and Florence were already waiting outside, Florence looking more frightened than relieved. The young girl turned at the soft footfalls that only a trained ninja (or alien youth as it would turn out) could hear. The presence of her brothers seemed to calm her, but only a little. Florence sighed deeply and entered her home. Now that they were in a well lit area the turtles notice they grey mask that had been tied around her mass of pink locks. The mask wasn't the only oddity to be found on their sister; eyebrows decorated her face and a pair of small ears assisted in keeping her hair out of her face. As Florence made her way to the main area she heard the television shut off before the quiet tap of a walking stick meeting the floor. Sooner then she would have like Florence came face to face with Master Splinter. At first the old rat looked relieved that his only daughter had returned home mainly unharmed. However the expression was swiftly replaced to one of anger.

"You had best have an excellent excuse for your recent reckless behaviour, my daughter!" Splinter reprimanded, his tone making all of his children cringe.

Florence had yet to met his gaze but answered anyway. "I do father, please sit and allow me to explain."

Splinter's anger glare lessened to an extent as he returned to his previous seat on the couch. Florence turned to her brothers and gesture for them to do so as well. The moment of truth began now. Florence reached into her belt and withdrew the picture of her mother and handed it to Splinter. His eyes widened and an almost inaudible gasp escaped his lips. Eager to find out what had caused such a reaction the turtles crowded around Splinter. Their reaction were much the same, except louder.

"Dudes, no way!"

"Florence, is-is that-,"

"Yes Leonardo," the pink haired tween regained the attention of her family. "That is my mother. And Bishop is my biological father."

A/N: Yes I know, I'm evil. But like I said before my muse has come back to me so there is no need to fear. The next chapter will be up as soon as I can manage. Promise :)
