Sans you literally did nothing to protect them while they were attacked by pretty much every monster in the underground. I'm pretty sure Frisk died a couple of times because you didn't protect them.

I just performed a very difficult theft for some crystals with weird properties that I can use, the multidimensional police, the Citadel of Ricks, and the time armies are after me, and I've stashed all of my money and the crystals in some safe place and I need to lay low so um... I might not be paying you back anytime soon... Please just forget it
