Chapter Thirteen: Saving Willow and Tara

Setting up the necessary items for the spell, Paige looked at her sisters over her shoulder. "Are you ready?" she asked, setting the last ingredient down before walking over to them.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Piper questioned, giving her sister a concerned look.

"I don't know, but we have to try something," Paige said, stopping beside them and holding the spell up for them to read while holding her sisters' hands.

"She's right," Phoebe admitted, knowing that Paige needed to do something to save her daughter.

"Alright. Let's do this," Piper agreed, before giving her sisters' hands a squeeze as they started the spell.

While the spell was being said, they felt the whole house start to shake, and the lights started to flicker. Paige knew the spell was working, but she wondered if it was working on the right demon. As they continued saying the words of the spell, they watched as a demon flickered in and out before finally taking form before them.

When the demon stood before them, Paige lifted the potion in her hands and threw it at the demon's feet, watching as the demon screamed for a few moments before it lifted his head and started laughing.

"You think you can kill me that easily, Charmed Ones. I've got the most powerful dark witch in my dimension, draining her powers and the powers of the little bitty Charmed One. Do you really think it'll be so easy to kill me now?"

Without another word, Piper threw up her hands, freezing the demon and turning to Phoebe. "Do you think you can try touching him to get a vision? Maybe we can figure out how to banish him and save Willow and Tara," Piper suggested, looking at her younger sister.

"I'll do my best," Phoebe promised, walking cautiously towards the frozen and reaching out to touch arm and gasping as a vision came to her.

As the demon became unfrozen, Phoebe had just started to walk off when he reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her back towards him. Piper threw up her hands as Phoebe slammed into the demon's chest, freezing the demon once again and rushing over to free her younger sister from the demon. With the help of Paige, they quickly pulled Phoebe away and Piper threw her hands up once more, exploding the demon.

Pulling her hands back, Phoebe looked at Piper. "Piper, prepare to refreeze him!" she yelled, trying to get away as the demon unfroze and grabbed her. The scene from Phoebe's vision played out, the demon holding her to him as Piper refroze him. Phoebe panicked as her sisters quickly pulled her free from the demon's strong hold and Piper blew him up.

"What did you see?" Paige asked, breathlessly as she looked at her older sister.

"That," Phoebe said simply, pointed at the place the demon had stood in before.

"What about Tara? Did you see anything about Tara?" Paige questioned.

"No. I didn't get a chance. I'm sorry, Paige," Phoebe told her, frowning at her sister.

"Mom!" Chris yelled as he orbed into the room, causing everyone to turn to him.

"What is it, Chris?" Piper asked, looking at her son in confusion.

"Tara's awake," he told them, watching as his mother and aunt looked at him in silence for a long time before Piper and Phoebe rushed out the door and Paige orbed into her daughter's room.

"Tara!" Paige said, wrapping her arms around her daughter. "What happened? Are you okay?"

"Mom?" Tara muttered, looking at her mother in confusion and surprise.

"It's me," Paige promised, holding her daughter close to her.

"Where's Willow?" Tara asked, as she hugged her mother back.

Piper looked over at Chris. "Will you go check on Willow? Cautiously?" she asked her son, watching as he nodded and orbed out.

"Chris is going to go check on her," Phoebe said, hearing Piper's words to Chris.

"Mom?" Tara whispered, softly, pulling back to look at her mother.

"Yes, Sweetie?"

"Why did I get dragged there with Willow?"

Before Paige could answer her daughter's question two forms orbed into the room, and they turned to see Willow and Chris. "You're alright?" Willow asked, looking at Tara with her black eyes and watching her nod before turning to look at the Charmed Ones, her black hair swaying with her movements. "What happened?"

"We were hoping you could tell us that," Piper said, stepping towards Willow. "He wanted you," Piper reminded her.

"I understand that. I don't know why he wanted me. What I meant was what happened to bring up back?" Willow asked, looking at them.

Before they answered, the door opened and a familiar person walked into the room. Willow stared at her in silence, unable to believe her eyes. I am losing it. I have to be losing it, Willow thought, her black eyes locked on the person in the doorway.

"Hello, Willow. It's good to see you," the familiar voice said, cutting through Willow as she stared at the person before her.

"Karen?" Willow whispered, her heart breaking along with her voice.
