Chapter 13: The Warning and True Feelings

It was afternoon time when Rin was packing everything of hers. She would soon be leaving in a few hours to head back to the Western Steps with her Lord. Once she finished packing her stuff, it was lunch time. She and everyone else gathered around and ate fish and rice.

Rin's POV

It was getting close to the time my Lord would show up. I knew he was nearby in the forest. Lady Kaede and myself sat inside her hut, when the sky grew dark and eerie. We both looked out the door as an ominous feeling overtook us.

"I hope it doesn't get too bad on your walk back. I've never seen anything like this before," Kaede said.

"Yes I hope so too," I said. I hope whatever this was would pass over us soon. Just then we both looked to our left and saw Lord Sesshomaru along with Au Un coming towards us. Just when they were about to reach us a bolt of lightning struck a few feet in front of the hut. Lord Sesshomaru got in front of us fast and drew his sword. He became defensive.

"Stay back and don't move any closer," he said. Just when he said that I felt a grip on my arm. Lady Kaede was pulling me back inside the safety of her hut. We heard Inuyasha running toward us.

"I thought I smelled something off with this odd storm," Inuyasha stated. He drew his Tetsusaiga and became defensive as well.

"My, my, what a strong nose you have, half demon," the familiar voice spoke. The two thunder brothers emerged from the smoke.

"Well, hello again Lord Sesshomaru. We came to here to deliver a message to you from our leader of the Eastern Steps," one brother said. The way he said it didn't sound good at all.

"Deliver your message and leave. I'm getting tired of smelling your disgusting scent," Lord Sesshomaru said.

"I'm afraid our leader is taking you to war for the death of her son Kyoya. She's coming with her strongest pack. So, I suggest you find some back up because you won't win against her or her pack hahaha," the other brother said.

"What the hell are you pathetic demons talking about. Who is your leader?" Inuyasha asked.

"Oh I guess you never heard of our leader Lady Fujiko of the Eastern Steps? She hates the Lord of the Western Steps for killing her son. All because he wanted that disgusting human girl for a mate," the demon said. Everyone looked my way except Lord Sesshomaru.

"I suggest you tell your leader, she should be prepared. I'll take her and the whole pack out with one swift strike of my sword," Lord Sesshomaru said. He was becoming more defensive. The brothers moved closer to us. Everyone from the village was running towards us to see what was happening. I saw Sango with her weapon hiraikotsu. Kagome had her bow and arrows ready to aim.

"Put down your weapons. You human girls we're preparing to leave in a moment. I suggest you have your army ready within a week Lord Sesshomaru. It will be taking place in an open field, ten miles outside of your land," the brother said. A bolt of lightning came down upon the brothers and they were gone in a flash. The sky started to clear and everyone put their weapons away. They all knew everything was safe now. Lord Sesshomaru finally relaxed and turned around. He came to stand before me and Lady Kaede.

"Kaede in one week, I'll have you brought to my castle to keep an eye on Rin. I don't want her to be alone while my staff and myself deal with the pack. I'm going to kill them quick as possible," he stated.

"Hold on Sesshomaru. Don't think we're going to let you have killing that pack without us. I haven't had this much excitement in a long time," Inuyasha said.

"If you die, that's on your own hands not mine. Just stay away from me at all costs. I want to be the one to take out that damn leader," he stated. Before Inuyasha could respond, Lady Kaede spoke up first.

"I'll be glad to watch over young Rin in a week. You could have her sent back here that way you know she's safe. But if you feel that she needs to stay within the castle walls I don't mind," Kaede said.

"I'd rather Rin stay within the castle walls. I will have a few of my staff on standby if any of those demons comes near," he said.

"I have no problem with that," Kaede said. Everyone came to an agreement about whats to come within a week. Lord Sesshomaru and myself set off in the direction of the castle with Au Un.

Coyote Den

The thunder brothers made it back to the den with the news for their leader Fujiko. Once inside, they found her walking back and forth. She was waiting for their return with a creepy smile on her face.

"Well?" She asked.

"It's all set my lady. Once everyone is at the battle field we will lure the girl out. Then will kill her with this," Raiden said. Holding a sharp blade in his hand.

"I have a better idea Raiden. How about we stab her several times. Then we will send her back to where we sent her before ten years ago. Then she'll die a slow and painful death all by herself," Hitoshi said. Everyone within the cave smiled an evil smile.

"Do whatever you like to that pathetic human girl. I want to be the one who kills the Lord of the Western Steps. If you have her gone before the war is over bring back something of hers. I want to upset the Lord of the West when we show it to him," Fujiko stated.

Sesshomaru's POV

It was getting close to being the middle of the night when I made camp. For Rin's safety I hid us in the forest away from the road. Once the fire was made, I went over to Rin. I pulled her into my arms from behind. I placed my lips along her neck, kissing it softly.

I could feel her heart beat in the veins of her neck. The beating grew faster with every inch I kissed along her soft skin. I knew I was about to give in again. I picked Rin up bridal style and ran off through the woods. I heard the sound of flowing water. I reached the same area where I found Rin in the middle of the lake two weeks ago. I set Rin on her feet and held her around the waist. We stood there a few moments looking into each other eyes. The wind slowly picked up and it blew her scent around us.

Not wanting to wait any longer I lifted her chin. I brushed my lips upon hers. She slowly placed a hand on the side of my neck. Our kissing started to pick up quickly. I let my hand slide down her body. I wanted to untie her kimono. Once I found the obi, I yanked on it with one pull. The fabric drew open revealing her almost naked body. I released her chin and slid her kimono off of her shoulders. It fell to the ground at her feet. I broke our kiss to look at her body. I noticed Rin was wearing a new type of material on her chest. Rin surprises me every time she wears these odd clothing. I took her lips in mine again. I soon felt Rin slide her hand down my neck. She found the ties to my chest plate and untied the knot. I had to help her with some of it. I grabbed both her arms and wrapped them around my neck. I took off my haori and swords and threw them to the side.

Our kissing was becoming very intense. We broke for air. Rin let out a seductive gasp. It drew me in closer to her. I let my lips flit along her neck. I moved my hands up her back and stopped when I reached the strange material. There were no strings this time. How do I remove this material from her body? I spoke into her neck.

"Rin, how do I remove this material? I'm about to rip it off your chest," I said. I think I heard her let out a chuckles.

"It unclips from the front my lord. Would you like me to do that part for you?" She asked. Before I could respond Rin removed her hands from my neck and unclipped her top. She then threw it to the side.

I stepped out of my shoes. I picked Rin up and set her on the ground. I laid next to her and pulled her into another passionate kiss. I ran my hand along her body. I wanted to explore every inch from her hips, all the way up to her neck. I could hear Rin's heartbeat increase in speed each time I moved my hand along her gorgeous body.

Her skin flushed in excitement at my touch. The tips of my fingers ran down her side and over the peak of her hip. I pulled her closer, to feel the warmth of her skin against mine. Our lips met. Her body trembled. My hand ran down the nape of her neck cupping her mound in my hand. I massaged it firmly. Her eyes dilated in need. Her tips hardened against my chest. She lifted her chin to give me access to the sensitive skin beneath her neck. She moaned quietly as my mouth worked its way down her neck, over her collar bone and clamped down on the tip of her breast. She held onto my shoulder. I pulled her leg over my hip. My hands explored the soft skin of her back, the curve of her stomach as my mouth continued to lower. When I came to her center, she was near pleading. I kissed the line down her stomach, her navel and by the rise of her hips. I rolled her onto her back, and lowered my mouth onto her bud. She gripped my shoulders in anticipation. I flicked my tongue against it, causing her back to arch and moans of pleasure to come from her mouth. I slid my fingers inside, pumping them firmly against the wet roof of her cavern. Her pleasure was building, her moans came faster and pitched lower. She climaxed against my hand, pulsating in euphoria.

Once I knew she was ready, I removed the rest of our clothes and slid in between her legs. She wrapped her legs around my waist, begging me to enter. She grasped me firmly helping me find her. I slid inside of her heated cave. We made passionate love Rin wrapped her arms around my shoulders. I pushed harder inside of her unable to hold back. She gripped me tightly, her hips moved with mine. With the seductive sounds she was making, I was inches and seconds from sinking my fangs into her luscious neck. I'd rather wait until she's somewhere safe and comfortable because of the pain she'd endure when I gave her immortality. I wanted to spend eternity with Rin. I won't have to worry about her dying again and she would remain young forever. I knew after the battle was over, I would change her myself. I have so much love for Rin and I don't know where I would be now if she hadn't returned over a month ago. I finished with a growl inside of her, spilling my seed inside her womb.

After I finished. I pulled Rin next to me. She rested her head against my chest. We held each other listening to the sound of the wind. As we laid beside each other, I picked up the scent of Rin's favorite flowers nearby. It reminded me of the gift I gave her when she was very young. From that memory, I knew which gift I wanted to present her with before I go to battle. I could tell Rin was getting very tired. I brought both of us to our feet. We both got dressed. Once we were dressed, I lifted her up bridal style and whispered to her softly.

"Let's go back to camp, so you can sleep. We will leave tomorrow after you are rested," I said. She nodded her head into my shoulder. I tilted my head kissing her softly. As I ran in the direction of camp, Rin fell sleep pretty fast. As we made it back to camp I found Au Un fast asleep. I took a seat beside them and placed Rin on my lap. I watched her sleeping form. She looked so calm and peaceful. I kissed her forehead softly. A cool breeze blew around us. I wrapped my mokomoko around her and whispered softly to her as she slept.

"I love you," I said even though she couldn't hear me but as I watched her it looked like she smiled at what I said. Her head relaxed along my shoulder. I placed my head on top of hers and fell asleep.

Rin's POV

I woke slowly and felt his hand along my cheek. I moved my own hand and placed it over his. I rubbed my thumb along the back of his hand. As I laid there in his arms, my mind went back to last night. We made love for the second time. He made it feel so special. I opened my eyes slowly and found him looking down at me with a soft expression on his face. He was still holding me. He stood up as the sun was starting to show through the tree tops. He lifted me closer to him and placed his lips to my ear, speaking softly.

"Are you ready to go home?" He asked. Before I could answer him he pressed his lips against mine with so much force that I had to break for air. After a few seconds, I let a gasp from my lips. I watched his eyes go red again. He set me on my feet. His fangs ran along my neck. As he traced the bare skin of my neck, I began to think about when he was going to make me immortal. I couldn't wait for that day. I knew I would live forever with him. I didn't want to make him wait for my answer I finally spoke.

"Yes lets go home," I said. I couldn't wait to get back home so I could get washed and changed into a new kimono. I was gonna walk beside him when he suddenly picked me up and placed me on top of Au Un's back.

"I'm guessing he's doing this for my safety just in case," I thought. It doesn't bother me, because I knew he does truly care for me. We made it back to the roadway.

We began heading in the direction of the castle. The sun finally rose into the sky. We wouldn't be back at the castle till later in the evening. We took a bit of a break near a beautiful lake for Au Un to get a drink. Once Au Un laid down to get their drink of water, Lord Sessohmaru helped me off their back. He kept a hold of my waist. He let go of my waist and took ahold of my hand. We walked the perimeter of the lake. It was so beautiful and covered with so many different colorful trees and flowers. After we walked the whole perimeter of the lake, we came back to find Au Un fast asleep under a sakura tree. As Au Un slept, the heat started to rise once the sun was close to the middle of the sky. I watched Lord Sessohmaru strip off his armor, shirt, swords and his shoes. He headed towards the lake. Before he walked in he turned around and held out a hand for me to join him. Giving him a smile, I took off my kimono. I was wearing the same thing from last night. I placed my kimono next to his stuff. I walked over and took his hand. He picked me up bridal style and walked us into the lake. He reached a part of the water where it ended above his chest. He still held me in his arms. Even though I wasn't all the way in the water it still felt nice and a tiny bit cool. After a few minutes of us being quiet he spoke up. I thought I saw a smile on his face.

"Rin your lucky you can swim," he said with smirk. I knew what he meant. I didn't have enough time to really wrap my arms around his neck when he tossed me several feet out into the lake. Swimming back up to the surface I had to laugh because I never saw the playful side of him before. I turned around in the direction he threw me from to see he wasn't there anymore. Just then he came up from behind me and threw me in a different direction this time. He continued doing that for several minutes until my whole body was very tired. He came up behind me again. I thought he was going to toss me once more but instead he picked me up bridal style and rested his forehead on top mine. I wrapped one arm around his neck and the other on the side of his face, our lips were inches apart. When we were about to kiss I heard him speak so softly.

"Rin," was all he said as he pressed his lips upon mine. I knew then, I needed to tell him my true feelings. How I really felt about him. Our kissing was becoming very passionate and strong. I had to break for air when he moved his lips to my neck. I finally whispered my true feelings to him.

"My Lord, I love you," I said. Once I said it I felt his lips freeze along my neck. I began to think that I shouldn't have said it after all. I feared to look his way. I was gonna swim back to land when I felt him lowering me into the water. He grabbed my chin and had me look up at him. When I saw the expression in his eyes, they showed signs of calmness. He had a little bit of a smile as well. Seeing his expression, I knew he loved me truly. He pressed his lips against mine. After our lips parted, he pulled me into an embrace. I knew our relationship was at its strongest. He picked me back up and walked us back to land to find Au Un. The double headed dragon was fully awake. We both got dressed again to head back to the castle.

We made it back to castle late that evening. We both parted to our rooms. It felt nice to get a hot bath to soak in for a bit and to put on a fresh clean kimono as well. After I washed, dried and dressed, I combed out my hair and placed it in a stylish bun. I felt very tired and blew out the few candles that were lit. I made my way over to my bed and laid down under the covers. Even though I loved the hay bed, this one was a lot comfier. As I laid there feeling the drowsiness coming, I felt the covers lift off of me and come back down within seconds. Then two strong arms pulled me in close. I felt his lips on the back of my neck. I heard a growl coming from deep in his throat. His pull wasn't as tight. I managed to turn around and nestled into his arms. He moved his hand and placed his thumb along my lip and traced it softly. Then he lifted my chin and kissed my lips softly for just a seconds. I slowly fell asleep beside him.
