Strange Activities
Twenty minutes after they arrived back to the Helicarrier Connors was resting. "How long is he going to be out?" Asked Lachlan.
"Well considering he had been taken over by symbiote and the Lizard, who knows how much of an effect it would have on him. It might be a few hours." Said Fury.
"A few hours?" Said Lachlan a bit angry. "We dont have a few hours. We need that cure now!" He yelled.
"Calm down!" Ordered Fury. Lachlan backed down. "I get it. You're angry." Lachlan started walking off. Fury followed him out. "I've seen you angry before. But I've never seen you this angry. What's going on?" Lachlan stopped walking. He turned to Fury.
"Want to know why I'm so angry?" He said. "This happened all because I wasn't here." He said. "I was to busy chasing down a bounty on my head when instead I should have been here. I could have stopped this!"
"If you were here you too would be infected." Said Fury. "Then who would stop all of this." Before either of them could say anything else there was a loud bang and the Helicarrier started shaking.
"Now what?" Said Lachlan. The two ran to the main area of the Helicarrier. SHIELD agents were running around in panic. They looked out the window and saw a giant beam of light shooting into the sky. "What the hell?" He said. Fury had an idea of where it was coming from. And he didn't like it.
"Looks like it's coming from Doctor Strange's house." Said Fury. Lachlan looked at him.
"Of course it is." Said Lachlan. Lachlan started running to the exit. Fury called out to him.
"Lachlan!" He just ignored him. "Lachlan!" He yelled out louder and Lachlan stopped. He turned to Fury.
"What?" He said.
"You can't face him by yourself." Said Fury. "He's too powerful." Lachlan turned around and kept running.
"I've handled worse." He exited the Helicarrier. He jumped from the roof of the Helicarrier and swung towards Strange's house. A few minutes later he arrived at the Sanctum Sanctorum he saw the beam shooting out of the roof. Lachlan walked to the door and noticed it was open. He snuck in. His Spidey sense was going off. He heard screaming from another room. "That can't be good." He slowly approached the door. His spidey sense went crazy. He jumped out of the way just as Unicorn went flying through it landing past him. Instead of checking if he was alright Lachlan walked past him and walked through the door. That's when he saw Doctor Strange covered in Nightmare symbiote. He was facing away from Lachlan. Lachlan wasn't sure but it seemed like Strange was opening a portal. He wasn't entirely sure but he had a feeling about what the portal was for. He was trying to bring Nightmare in to this world. Lachlan leaped through the door behind him. "Strange!" yelled Lachlan. Strange turned to face him. "You've got to stop this." He paused. "Or I'll have to beat the shit out of you." Strange laughed. He conjured up a ball of electricity and shot it at Lachlan. Lachlan dived out of the way. He hid behind a pillar. "Maybe threating the most powerful person ever was probably not my smartest decision." He said. Lachlan turned the corner to see another bolt of lightning being shot at him. "Uh-oh!" He said. He went back avoiding the bolt. Lachlan looked across the room and saw a door open. He got ready to run. He got up and sprinted for it, while at the same time dodging the lightning. He leaped for the door and dived inside. He shut the door. He reached for a light. When he turned it on and realised he was in a broom closet. "What the hell does a Sorcerer supreme need a broom closet for?" The sound of lighting hit the door repeatedly. One of the thuds sent Lachlan stumbling forwards into the other end of the closet. But instead of hitting the wall he fell through it. "Oooooh." HE said. He landed in a hallway with a door at the other end. Suddenly the door before smashed open. Lachlan started running down the hallway as Strange came through the hidden passage. Strange started shooting fireballs at him. Lachlan dodged them all. As he reached the door he pulled it open and shut it. He was back in the area with the portal. "I hate this house." He said. Strange blew open the door behind Lachlan and entered the room. "Fight it Strange!" He said. Strange kept laughing. He kept shooting fireballs and lightning bolts at him. Lachlan dodged them. Lachlan started shooting web balls at him. He grabbed a nearby vase and threw it at him. Strange opened up a portal and the vase went through it. Suddenly a portal opened behind Lachlan and the vase flew through hitting him in the back of the head knocking him over. "Ow." He said. "No fair." He said getting up. As he got up Strange flew at him and punched him in the chest sending him flying crashing through the wall. Lachlan landed in the library. Suddenly he had a plan. He jumped off. "There has to be a spell about anti symbiote." He said. His Spidey sense went off. Lachlan hid behind one of the shelfs. Strange flew in.
"Where are you?" Hissed Strange. He hovered around the shelfs hunting Lachlan down. Lachlan snuck around the shelfs. He found a book labelled 'Symbiote'.
"Perfect." He said as he grabbed it. Suddenly a fireball flew past Lachlan getting the book. Lachlan watched as the book burned on the ground. "Or friggen course!" He said. He turned and saw Strange hovering across from him.
"Nice try." He hissed. He shot fire at Lachlan again. Lachlan dodged them and the fire balls kept hitting the shelfs destroying the books.
"I'm totally going to get the blame for this aren't I?" He said. He ran through the shelfs avoiding them. Suddenly Strange used a shockwave on Lachlan sending him crashing through the shelves. Lachlan landed on the ground. "God I wish I could use that right now." He looked next to him and saw another book. On shockwaves. "Well that was convenient. Wait. Maybe he's trying to help me?" He thought. His Spidey sense went off and a fireball flew straight for him. Lachlan rolled towards the book and grabbed it. "Nope just convenient!" He said. He grabbed the book and started running. He read the book trying to find the spell while also dodging fireballs. He found one. He needed three ingredients. A peacock feather, dirt from the centre of the earth and "Unicorn hair?" He said confused. "He better be one of those people who goes 'Shopping' every week." He said. Lachlan ran back into the main hall. He looked around for another door to run through. He saw one. He ran towards it. He opened the door and it was a room full of fire. "Yeah no." He said closing it. When he closed it he heard a loud bang coming from back in the door. "What?" He said. He reopened it and there was a new room. Full of jars. "Not even going to question it." He said. He ran inside and shut the door. He ran through the room looking for ingredients. "Please have labels." He said. He picked a jar up and sure enough it was labelled. "Thank god." He said. He ran looking for the ingredients. He found a jar of dirt from the centre of the earth. "Check." He said to himself. All he needed was a peacock feather and the unicorn hair. "I think I saw a feather near the entrance." He turned and saw Strange hovering next to him. "One job Spidey sense." Strange went to conjure up a fireball but Lachlan quickly leaped over him and ran for the door. He opened it and shut it. He had an idea. He reopened the door and stared at Strange. He closed it again and opened it. The room had changed and strange was gone temporarily. Lachlan looked around the room and saw a feather in a vase next to a door. He ran over to it. As he reached for it the door flung open and Strange swooped flew and grabbed him by the throat. Lachlan started kicking at him but it was no use. Strange's symbiote started moving up his arm over Lachlan. But something strange happened. Normal symbiote emerged from Lachlan's suit and started spreading over him. Lachlan panicked. "Oh-no." He said. Surprisingly the symbiote was fighting off Nightmare's symbiote. Lachlan was covered in symbiote. The symbiote exploded causing him and Strange to fly off. Lachlan got up and tried removing the symbiote. It was no use. It had him. The symbiote fought for control but Lachlan withheld its fight. Lachlan was in control. He was more powerful. "Guess I've got no choice." He said. He ran over and grabbed the feather. "Ok now if I were a sorcerer and had unicorn hair, where would I put it?" He said. Suddenly he heard screaming. It sounded familiar. "Unicorn?" He said. He followed the screams to the hallway. He opened the door and saw Unicorn failing to open the door to exit the building. But the weird part was what was attacking him. "You've got to be kidding me." Said Lachlan. The creature faced him. "Is that a freakin unicorn covered in symbiote?!" He yelled. The unicorn charged towards him. Lachlan leaped over it. The unicorn farted out symbiotic rainbows (that's right I wrote symbiotic rainbow farts) at Lachlan sending him to the ground. "I swear if I make it out of this alive nobody better found out about this." He got up as the unicorn charged at him once more. The symbiote spun him around and forced him to punch the unicorn with the full force. The unicorn went crashing through a wall. "On second thoughts telling people I falconed punched a unicorn could make a badass story." He joked. Lachlan ran through the hole to the unconscious unicorn. He grabbed some of its hair. It was covered in symbiote until the symbiote on Lachlan absorbed it. "That could come in handy." Said Lachlan. Lachlan had all three ingredients. He pulled the book out of hit suit. He read it. All he had to do was combine all three ingredients together and saw some magical words and it would work. He grabbed the dust jar and put the unicorn hair in as well as the now crumbled up peacock feather. "Wait a second." He said. "Where the hell is Dr Nightmare?" He said. He looked around. He figured there would only be one place he could. "The portal!" He yelled. Lachlan sprinted with the jar to the main room. But it was too late. Nightmare was escaping through the portal. Lachlan ran up but as he did Nightmare was out. He blasted Lachlan across the room. He dropped the jar and the recipe was gone. "No." he said weak. He looked up and saw Nightmare standing over him with Strange behind him.
"No escape this time." Hissed Nightmare. He reached his arm out and absorbed Lachlan's symbiote. Suddenly a new lot of symbiote went onto him. Brown symbiote. Lachlan tried to fight back but it was no use. The symbiote covered him until. Darkness.
