Burgundy lay on the cold floor of his fortress, watching Red and Yellow leave through the hole in the wall. A sigh escaped his lips, a mixture of sadness and exhaustion. As the mechanical voice reminded him of his eminent demise, the fallen trainer took from his pocket a small locket. Slowly, Burgundy opened it. Inside, there was a simple picture of him and a girl with blonde hair, who bore a striking resemblance to Yellow, only older. He let loose another sigh. "Was I wrong all this time? Was I so blinded by anger at the people who took you away from me that I forgot what you would have wanted?" Burgundy rested his head against the floor, as the voice informed him of one minute to self-destruct. "Those two… Red and Yellow…they have a bright future ahead of them. I hope they do better then we did." 10 seconds left. Burgundy closed his eyes. "Wherever you are, I hope to be with you now." And with those final words, the man named Burgundy was consumed by explosion.

Author's Note: One last loose end tied up. I felt that just having a dark Red wanting to destroy the villains of the world was a little too generic. So now you finally know his true reasons for his actions-a woman (unnamed for reasons) he loved was murdered. So if you think about it, Red could have become exactly like Burgundy if put in the same situation. Thank you all once again for reading this.
