All the people from the funeral had gone back to Angelo's for Harry's wake.
"And they didn't say anything else?" Brax frowned, Amelia was sat at a table in Angelo's with Roberto, Brax, Heath and Lynne.
Casey and Ruby were sat with Irene and Bianca, Amarlia and Scarlet were both asleep in their prams.
"No, that's all they said" Amelia replied.
"Why would they question you without charging you?" Heath interrupted as he took a drink from his bottle of beer.
"I know it doesn't make sense" Amelia frowned "I can't help thinking he knows something"
"Or nothing" Roberto finally spoke "My guess is they think this is down to you" Roberto looked towards Brax who was nodding his head.
"Bait" Brax exhaled causing Amelia to throw him a glance.
"What do you mean bait?" She frowned
"Using you to get at me" Brax replied
"Why not just come after you?" Heath spoke again, he too was looking at Brax
"The police are trying to be clever" Roberto explained "They know Darryl would never let Lana go to jail for something he did, they think shining the light on her will make him panic and slip up. It's the oldest trick in the book"

Bianca was still sat at a table with Irene, Amelia noticed she hadn't taken her yes of Heath all afternoon. As Amelia approached the table Irene made an excuse to get up "Is everything ok?" Bianca asked as Amelia sat down.
"I could ask you the same" Amelia frowned "You haven't taken your eyes off him all afternoon, what's going on Bee?"
"What" Bianca tried to shrug it off "I have not"
"You so have" Amelia laughed "Hey listen Bianca, I know i have been a rubbish friend lately but honestly if you need to talk i am always here"
Amelia put her and on top of Bianca's and gently squeezed it reassuringly "OW" she gasped suddenly as she put her hand on her bump.
"Are you alright?" Bianca was concerned for her friend.
"Yeah I'm fine" Amelia smiled "Ahhh" she gasped again.
"No you're not" Bianca quickly stood up "BRAX" Bianca shouted Brax, who turned quickly and rushed towards his wife.
"What is it, whats wrong?" Brax asked as he put his hand on Amelia's bump "Is it the baby?"
"It's nothing to worry about, honestly" Amelia frowned "He's just using my insides a punch bag"
Amelia stood up, but as she moved away from the table she started to feel dizzy. Amelia quickly grabbed Brax's shirt to steady herself, but she lost her grip and passed out.
Brax gently lowered his wife to the ground "Milly, Milly" he repeated as he shook her gently. Amelia's eyes slowly opened and she could see Lynne, Roberto, Heath, Bianca, Ruby and Casey all stood around her and Brax "You alright" Brax said as he helped Amelia sit up "Can you stand?" Brax helped Amelia to her feet.
"Maybe you should take her to the hospital, just to be on the safe side" Ruby said, it was obvious she was worried.
"Yeah cheers Ruby, thats what my plan was" Brax snapped a little more than he should have.
"Daryl" Amelia scolded "She's only trying to help, besides its fine I know whats wrong"
Brax just frowned at Amelia "Yeah but i would feel much better if you let a doctor check you out"
"It's just because the placenta is low" Amelia smiled "I really don't need to go to the hospital"
"It's not up for discussion Milly" Brax replied sternly "I'll get the Ute"

Brax and Amelia waited for Sid, they had been put in a side room "Do you feel better now?"
"Yeah, I told you I didn't need to see anyone" Amelia frowned.
"Hello Amelia" Sid came in just at the right moment "Now I understand you fainted"
"Yes but I am absolutely fine now" Amelia said quickly causing Brax to shake his head.
"For God sake Mill let the doc have a look at you" Brax snapped.
Sid took Amelia's temperature and tested her blood pressure "Well all that seems fine" Sid smiled "Have you been experiencing any more symptoms?"
"No just fainting, I told Darryl it was because of my low placenta" Amelia smiled.
"Yeah more than likely that is what caused it, but I would like you to do a urine sample just to be on the safe side. Sid handed Amelia a pot and she left the room, leaving Brax and Sid alone.
"I understand why you were worried" Sid smiled "I would have done the same"
"It's just, after last time I..." Brax was surprised to be interupted by Sid.
"It can't have been easy for you" Sid sighed "But Amelia does have fantastic instincts, it's such a shame she didn't go on to be a doctor"
"Yeah she was gutted she didn't get a place" Brax smiled weakly as he remember how upset Amelia was.
Sid just frowned without speaking "What?" Brax wondered curiously.
"Amelia did get a place, but she turned it down due to family commitments" Sid explained to a stunned Brax.
"Did she tell you that?" Brax asked.
"I'm sorry I assumed you knew" Sid apologised but it was too late Brax was already getting up to leave "Brax what about Amelia"
"Just tell her I needed some air" Brax said before dissappearing.

Brax walked out of the hospital and into the hospital garden, he sat on a bench and tried to process what Sid had said.
"Everything ok babe?" a familiar voice came from behind him, he turned to look and saw Amelia.
"Why didn't you tell me you could have been a doctor?" Brax asked a gobsmacked Amelia.
"What, who told that?" Amelia stuttered.
"That isn't important, what is important is that you have lied to me for years" Brax was furious "You promised me you have never sacrificed anything to be with me"
"I haven't..." Amelia tried to explain but Brax just walked away "Daryl, wait please" Amelia grabbed Brax's arm.
"JUST, leave it Mill" Brax turned away from Amelia and walked away.

Meanwhile back at the Braxton house Casey and Ruby were watching a movie while Amarlia was sleeping. They were surprised to be interupted by Amelia who seemed to be upset "Can't we at least talk about this?" Amelia snapped.
"I'll go and check on Amarlia" Ruby went into the bedroom leaving Casey sat on the sofa.
"What is there to talk about, you lied to me" Brax yelled.
"AMELIA!" The urgency in Ruby's scream caused instant panic "Help me please" she added in tears as Amelia rushed into the bedroom, followed closely by Casey and Brax.
"She's not breathing" Ruby sobbed as tears fell down her face, Amelia took the baby off Ruby and gently laid her on a blanket on the floor.
"Come on sweetie" Amelia sniffed "Casey call an ambulance" she checked Amarlia's breathing and pulse, she then started gentle chest compressions.
"Why isn't she moving?" Ruby exclaimed as she clung to Casey "Amelia"
Amelia had no answer for Ruby, she just continued with compressions and gentle breaths.
"Just let her work Rubes" Brax watched anxiously as Amelia tried desperately to save Amarlia.
Amelia stopped for a few moments to check Amarlia's pulse, she looked up at Brax with tears in her eyes and shook her head slightly.
Brax turned away and threw his hands behind his head "Why are you stopping, Amelia?" Ruby screamed.
"Ruby she's..." Amelia said as she choked back the tears.
"No don't say it, Please Milly" Casey pleaded "Please don't stop, please" he had started to cry. Casey and Ruby were clinging to each other tightly as Brax put his arm around them both, they all watched helplessly as Amelia continued trying to save Amarlia's life.
Suddenly the paramedics arrived "Through here" Brax quickly greeted them and showed them which room Amarlia was in.
"Her name is Amarlia Braxton she is 5 months old" Amelia tried to hold it together "I have been trying to resuscitate for 25 minutes with no output"
The paramedics checked Amarlia over before taking a step back "No" Ruby screamed "Please No" Ruby started to fight Casey "You can't stop, please don't stop MILLY"
"I'm sorry Rubes" Amelia sobbed "Amarlia was already gone when you went to check on her"
"NO" Ruby couldn't catch her breath, her breaking became heavy until she passed out.
"Ruby" Casey cried as he caught her "Ruby"
One of the paramedics came rushing over to her, Amelia quickly rushed out into the back garden. Brax followed closely behind "Milly" he said as he put his hand on her arm.
Amelia didn't speak she just rushed into Brax's arms and cried uncontrollably "I should have been able to save her"
"Shh it's ok, you did all you could" Brax tried to comfort Amelia, but he too was devasted by what had happened...how could life be this cruel?
