Welcome back readers! Big surprise to those of you who're following this story... I've pre-written several chapters ahead! Meaning you guys now have no need to worry about updates!

I think I might want to explain something, from here on out the story will be told from three different perspectives, Narrative perspective, Ryan's perspective, and Silver's perspective. Why? Because they're my OC's AND the main male protagonists. I apologize to anyone who wanted their OC's POV to see what I think of them, but I would also probably screw up terribly and not write them out correctly, which is my other reason.

Also(Apparent) mention to The Ancient Dragon Writer's story. Go check it out if ever get the chance.

Before you read onwards in the story, I have something odd I'd like to share.

My inspiration for writing my two top stories, is video games. And surprisingly enough, not even Pokemon video games. At the moment, the game I use for inspiration is Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. A game where you fight monsters for their pelts and such(I REALLY can't due this game justice). But there's an online mode where I tend to play with my friends, and that's where I get all these experiences from to use in my story.

Anyways, on with the chapter!

Chapter 12: An 18th Type? The battles intensify!

Ryan's POV

We stared in awe at the new Pokemon we'd never seen before, not even Chris knew what it was, but then again he isn't any smarter than I am... I took out my Pokedex to scan the small creature as it launched a beam of pink light at the Absol on the field. The Absol was HUGE! However it didn't take the hit very well.

"Slurpuff, the Meringue Pokemon. Its sense of smell is 100 million times better than a human's, so even the faintest scent tells it about everything in the area. It's like it can see with its nose!"

"Cool... what the hell?" I said, however, once I scrolled down on the information I noticed something."Hey Chris, ever seen this Type Symbol before?"

"That's the Fairy Type, it's a new Type here in Kalos, the odd thing about it is the fact that it's weak to only Poison and Steel Type attacks. Normally a Pokemon wouldn't be weak to two Types that cancel each other out like that." Serena explained. I stared down at the screen again, and realized just how versatile this new "Fairy" Type was.

It was effective against Dark, Fighting, and even Dragon Types! It was barely weak to two Types and it was effective against some of the strongest Pokemon out there!

The Absol fainted upon contact with the beam of pink light, signaling the battle was entering it's final stage.

"Let's go, Luna!" Zaine shouted, tossing a Pokeball out towards the battlefield. Out popped something that looked like an Espeon mixed with Glaceon gimmick, yet another Fairy Type."Use Hypervoice!"

"Moonblast again!"

The two trainers called out the attacks and their Pokemon rushed to attack each other, the faster one being the pink-ribboned Eevee thing. I got out my Pokedex once again, scanning over the Pokemon.

"Sylveon... What the hell Type of Pokemon is that anyway?" I thought to myself as the two Pokemon clashed, kicking up heavy amounts of dust. And even in the giant cloud of dust I could hear the sounds of attacks being yelled and explosions.

The battle dragged on, the two Fairy Types clashing with each other every passing moment with incredible strength. It seemed as though they were simply equal in strength. The only question was, which could hold out longer?

"Use Hypervoice again!"

"Thunder Bolt!"

The two attacks clashed with each other, though one was obviously more powerful than the other as the Sylveon's attack distorted the bolt of lightning and blasted into the opposite Fairy Type.

"Slurpuff is unable to battle! Sylveon is the victor, meaning the winner is Zaine!"

"WOO! Nice one, Luna!" Zaine shouted happily, hugging his Pokemon self-consciously.

Later that day...

Silver's POV

"That guy's Pokemon were pretty strong, don't you think?" Ryan asked me.

"Hell yes, I wasn't expecting that much power from such an... endearing title."

"Yeah well you shouldn't underestimate something just because it's pink." Serena said, laughing a bit at me and Ryan.

Ryan yawned and walked over to Chris and patted him on the back.

"What's that for?"

"Where the hell are we staying tonight?" Ryan asked him in slightly cranky tone of voice.

"Tired, eh? Well I don't know. Ask Silver." Chris said, pointing back to me.

"I would suggest the Pokemon Center, but with how many people we have we may need to rent at an Inn." I looked around, as we practically had a large team of people now.

John, Kaye, Lyra, Chris, Me, Ryan, Serena, Lucy, and now Zaine and Laura. Not to mention my own Pokemon, who're starting to grow in size over the past few weeks. If you asked me I'd say we're one big platoon or something.

"Really now? Then let's fucking get to it!" Ryan said, face-planting onto the ground. After which the sound of snoring could be heard.

"He's drunk when he's tired." Chris said, kicking his friend awake. We all laughed at Ryan's reaction to getting kicked.

We eventually left the building and searched for an Inn. And, after a good half hour of searching, we eventually found it. Though I did end up having to carry Ryan, we now had a place to stay.

I requested the several rooms and paid up front for the next, which wasn't the best choice for my wallet, but we were definitely going to be here longer than a few days, I'd say about a week or so. And if that's true, then we're going to need a place to stay for a while.

Chris took Ryan to his own room and headed off to another, following him were Lyra and Sally. Speaking of, Sally recently evolved! I wasn't actually aware of it till he showed us. Now, though, I feel slightly left behind. We started our journey at the same time, and not only that, but Sally was just a baby Pokemon at the time. And Ria hasn't gotten very powerful... neither has Grace. And with the addition of Zoey, things have been getting more and more stressful.

Now the only people not in their own rooms are me, Serena, John, Lucy, Zaine and his Pokemon Laura, all spending our time in the lounge area. Serena was talking with Lucy, and John and Zaine were discussing Pokemon traits, leaving me and Laura as the silent ones.

"Hell, now is as good a time as any..." I thought to myself as I reached for my Pokeballs. I was, however, cut short by Laura asking me a question.

"Why is it you still hold onto that last one?" She asked me, staring at the three Pokeballs in my hands.

"What do you mean?" I answered with a question.

"That third one, the Dark Type, why do you still keep her with you? I can sense that she's caused a lot of turmoil from your reluctance to release them all at once."

"I wish I could answer that... I don't entirely know myself. What I DO know is that if I'm not careful, my journey's gonna get cut REAL short... wait... doesn't Zaine have a Pokemon like that... wasn't her name Luna or something?" I asked, catching Zaine and John's attention.

"Yes, though he keeps hold of her for a personal reason."

"Guess he wouldn't be too happy if I asked him what those reasons are. Sorry, Zaine."

"It's fine, I'd just prefer to answer you myself. But really, why do you hold onto her? Your other Pokemon hate her, and so far I've seen her once and the entire time she was trying to do something to, and with you." Zaine said, giving Zoey's Pokeball a slight look of disgust.

I stared at her Pokeball for a moment, then stood up.

"Serena, tuck these two in for me, would you?" I asked, Serena looked at me and nodded. She took Ria and Grace's Pokeballs from my hand and headed off to our room.

"What are you planning to do?" John asked me in a worried tone.

"Set things straight before they get out of hand." I said seriously. If I didn't want things to get out of hand, I needed to think of a solution, as having Zoey out and training with Ria and Grace won't be very pleasant.

"You're going out then, I suppose?" Zaine asked me, I nodded and he smiled."Just be careful, I don't want my new companions getting themselves... in trouble." He said sheepishly.

"Alright then. See you guys later." I said, exiting the building.

I wandered around town for about five minutes or so, the Inn already vanishing into all the crowd of larger buildings. Without a doubt in my mind, something had to be done... but I was so stupefied that I had no idea WHAT I needed to do. I suppose taking her into the Pokemon center for another examination would suffice.

I searched for the Pokemon center. But after a while it seemed as though I couldn't find it, despite being there not even a few hours ago. I felt Zoey's Pokeball rattle lightly, and I self-consciously decided to let her out to see what was wrong.

"What the hell do you want?" I asked rudely, she gasped melodramatically.

"Now what in the world made you think I wanted something?" Zoey asked, though I ignored her and went over to the cliff-side area with the view of the ocean.

I leaned against the railing and sighed.

"Look, I understand that it goes against your instincts or whatever, but could you please do me a favor and stop yourself?" I asked, the little Pokemon sat on a bench behind me and sat quietly without answering."Guess not."

"Are you willing to give up your relationships just because of me?" She asked sadly, a tone of guilt overtook her voice.

"Of course not! That's why I want to find a compromise or something!"

"Then how about this, wait till I fully evolve. Then would you consider me? How about if I were human-"

"I don't think you fully understand how fucked up this all is? Why didn't you say anything, back in the cave? If you knew this would change a young trainer's life in the wrong way, then why didn't you say anything?!"

"I'm sorry-"

"You know what? FUCK IT! When you evolve, once you can defeat Ria with your own two hands... then I'll consider it."

"REALLY?! Alright then! I won't disappoint you!" Her voice sounded happy.

With this little compromise of sorts, I'd at least be able to be okay for the time being, and with Ria's type advantage, and extended battle-experience, she's likely never going to be able to defeat her.

"But there is, of course, a catch. If you try anything, anything at all, this little 'deal' is off. And you're getting put into the PC for the rest of my journey."

"Aye sir!" Zoey said happily, saluting as best she could.

And with all that "Turmoil"-as Laura put it-out of the way I could now focus on the important stuff, studying for my next Gym Badge, and training.

We headed back to the Inn, though I forgot to put Zoey back into her Pokeball. And upon entering, I realized that fact.

Everyone stared at Zoey as if she were some monster of mass destruction. John walked up to me.

"That was... awfully quick... you okay, bro?" He asked, pulling me away from Zoey, who just whimpered.

"I'm fine, let me go please." I said, crossing my arms.

Lucy examined me for a moment, then grabbed hold of me and started... sniffing me.

"He's clean, for now. Just you wait, once one of you are alone, you won't be getting any sleep." Lucy said deviously. Luckily, though, all the disgust and anger was forwarded to Lucy rather than Zoey.

"F-Y-I guys, make sure you group into one room with multiple people. Ryan's the only exception."

"R-r-right." Zaine and John said in unison. Laura growled at the sultry Lopunny, stepping in front of the two boys.

"Back off." Laura said, glaring.

Lucy licked her lips and got in a fighting stance. She charged, pullind her fist-ear thing back to attack, but-

"That's enough, no fighting. You fucking woke me up." Ryan said, grabbing Lucy by her ears.

"Uh... Ryan?" I asked, gesturing to his pants.

"What is it?" He looked down to where I was pointing, he'd just walked out in his underwear."Oh this? It's fine, I'm going back to sleep anyway. May as well cage this Bunny-Bitch before she can try anything." He said tiredly.

Ryan let out a yawn as he dragged her into his room.

"But... what about her... rapey...-ness?" John asked, pointing at Lucy, who had the most devilish smile on her face as Ryan closed the door behind him.

"She's not going to be enjoying anything. He's probably just going to tie her up and hang her up by her feet or something." I said, yawning.

"Tired?" Zaine asked.

"Yeah, goodnight guys." I said, walking over to my room, Zoey following close behind me.

I opened the door and was quickly bombarded by my two other Pokemon, Grace and Ria. Who were both in practical tears.

"Are you crying, Grace?" I asked jokingly, Grace wasn't usually one to show much emotion, so this was a funny exception.

"Shut up, don't ever do that again!" She said telepathically, hugging me tightly.

"And you, Ria?" I asked the Riolu, who was almost strangling me.

"(Shut up, don't touch me!)" She yipped angrily, holding me tighter.

"Wow, you're gone for fifteen minutes and this happens..." Zoey said, giggling to herself.

Serena just laid there on the bed, reading a book.

"They were practically dying. Where'd you go?" She asked, putting her book to the side.

"I'll tell you tomorrow, right now, I want sleep... where'd you even get that?"

"I'll tell you when you tell me where you went."

"Fair enough."

I laid down in bed next to her, my three Pokemon accompanied me. Though Grace and Ria had to shove Zoey off the bed once or twice before she gave up and slept on the floor.

The funny part was, she ended up sleeping at my feet rather than at the pillows.

"Silver?" Grace tugged on my shirt a little.

"What's up?"

"What did you do to her? She's not acting like she normally would."

"I made her a deal, that if she ever evolved and was able to beat Ria, I'd consider her."

"As a mate?!" She asked worriedly. I reluctantly nodded."Then... what about me? What do I have to do?"

"Um... I'll tell you tomorrow. Can I please get some sleep?" I asked, she went silent.

After that it became quiet. I was finally able to sleep. I wasn't a fan of the whole Human & Pokemon thing... in fact it seemed rather wrong, in a way. If it's the Pokemon's choice then it's okay, but sometimes it could count as sexual harassment.

And if things were going to continue in this direction... I'd eventually be one of those Trainers the general public looks down upon. Though I wasn't one to follow the crowd back when I lived in Unova either. I thought about why things had to start happening as I left on a Journey? Why not someone else?

I slowly fell asleep with those thoughts in mind. And probably a headache inbound when I woke up.

The next Day...

No Point of View.

The next morning was full of excitement, after all, it was the second day of the tournament.

Ryan had high hopes, Silver had somewhat found a solution to a problem, and Chris... Chris just tried his best to avoid Lucy.

The group's new companions; Zaine and Laura, joined Ryan in the Arena lobby to wait for their matches.

Meanwhile Silver, Chris, John and Kaye decided to explore Ambrette a bit more. Leaving Lyra, Lucy and Serena to themselves at the Inn.

"So... I heard about your first battle, you fought a Mega Pidgeot?" Zaine asked Ryan as they lounged around.

"Yeah but only because the guy was a bitch and didn't know how to lose." Ryan replied smugly.

"Actually, don't you think it was unfair from the get-go?" Zaine asked, pointing to Ryan's Pokeballs.

"What do you mean?"

"Well if you think about it, all you need to do is defeat two of their Pokemon and you've won! And I'm pretty sure your actual participation wasn't in the rule book."

"Oh... then the new rules fix that I guess." Ryan said, twirling one of his Pokeballs in his hands.

"I guess that would make sense."

They sat and waited there for the next fifteen minutes, that is before Zaine was called to his next match. Ryan went to the bleachers to watch the match.

Zaine stepped into the Arena, likewise his opponent did the same. The crowds roared as they reached for their Pokeballs, and the ref entered their line of sight.

The referee announced the two, and the new rules for the battles. Trainers will use two Pokemon for a maximum three round match, once one Pokemon from either side faints, the round ends. The person with the most Pokemon at the end of the three rounds, and/or if both Pokemon on one side faint, then that's a victory for the last one standing. Much simpler than the previous days' rules, according to Ryan at least.

Zaine sent Laura out onto the battlefield, and his opponent chose to use a Mightyena.

"Let the battle between these two trainers start. Round 1... begin!"

"Laura use Shadow Claw!" Zaine shouted, Laura jumped to action, but her opponent was fast enough to dodge, and did so nimbly.

"Mightyena use Thunder Fang!" The jaws of the Mightyena cackled with bright lightning as it lunged forward, biting down on Laura's leg, shocking her severely.

This caught Ryan's attention, and kept it for quite some time, as Laura was quickly and easily outmatched in power. Ryan scanned the Mightyena with his Pokedex. It read:

"Mightyena. Gender: Male. Level: 52. Moveset: Variable. Ability: Moxie."

"Well that isn't good." Ryan said, impressed with the prowess of Zaine's opponent.

"Mightyena, finish it off with another Thunder Fang!" The trainer ordered, and the Mightyena obeyed swiftly. Closing any and all distance between it and Laura nearly instantaneously.

Laura then fell to the ground, she had fainted in merely two attacks. In other words, she was incredibly outmatched.

"Laura, return. You did an excellent job... Alright." Zaine tossed a Pokeball out into the field, it popped open revealing Luna, who was ripe and ready to go.

"Round 2... begin!" The referee announced.

"Luna use Moonblast!" Zaine shouted in a hurry, Luna quickly prepared a ball of energy and blasted it in the opposing Mightyena's direction.

"Dodge that!" The trainer commanded, and once again Mightyena delivered, dodging the attack with incredible speed."Now, use Ice Fang!"

"Luna use Hyper Voice!" Zaine shouted.

Luna let out a shrill shout and a wave of air slammed into the Mightyena, sending it flying backwards.

"Moonblast!" Zaine shouted and Luna blasted Mightyena with a pink ray of light.

The Mightyena took the attacks and stood up proudly. It had taken the two super effective hits, and wasn't fairing too well.

"Now... Mightyena!" Shouted the trainer, as the Mightyena darted passed Luna."Thunder Fang!"

"Dodge-" Zaine shouted, but was too late. The Mightyena bit Luna with it's electrically charged fangs, paralyzing her where to the ground.

"Finish it, Take Down!" The trainer ordered, Mightyena finished Luna off with a powerful slam to her side, knocking her unconscious.

Ryan stared down at the Mightyena, who had seemingly barely taken any damage. The difference in strength between it and Zaine's Pokemon was just too great, and defeating an opponent like that would be difficult. Luckily, though, after some early-morning training, he'd figured out a way around stronger opponents.

The referee announced the end results of the match, and Zaine stepped out of the Arena.

After the match, Ryan went down to cheer up his friend. Only to find him being assaulted by a group of people.

"Eh, punk, not so tough without your Absol are ya'?" One man asked in a (New York) Unovaean accent.

"Yeah, not so tough!" Another added.

Ryan ran up to the group, only to be stopped by one of the men in the front.

"And where are you goin'?"

"Charmeleon!" Ryan tossed Charmeleon's Pokeball towards the man.

"Umbreon!" The man sent out his own Pokemon."Dark Pulse!"

"Charmeleon use Flamethrower!"

The Umbreon launched a beam of dark energy, and Charmeleon fired it's own attack to counter. The two attacks collided and exploded.

"Tch... Charmeleon, Ancestral Drive!" Ryan commanded. And Charmeleon followed the command swiftly, a green aura appeared around Charmeleon."Now, Slash!"

Charmeleon charged at the opposing Umbreon with incredible speed, cutting the Pokemon with it's claws.

"What the hell was that?"

"Ancrestral Drive, a combination move I created just this morning. It boosts my Pokemons attack, speed, defense, special attack, special defense, evasion, and the list goes on, if it's a stat, it gets boosted. Use Slash once more!"

Charmeleon finished off the Umbreon, as multiple Pokemon began to surround it and Ryan.

"Well it ain't gonna help you against all of us, don't mess with Team Astral!"

"Oh really? Frogadier, Smoke Screen!" Ryan shouted, tossing a Pokeball into the air, as the Pokeball opened up, smoke came out of it.

"Get him, dammit!"

"Lieutenant, leave this to me, you take the grunts and finish Operation Thorn. Ryan, was it? My name is Owen, and I'm a Captain of Team Astral." One man said, soloing himself from the group. He tossed out two Pokeballs at once, upon opening a Sableye and a Swanna appeared."Swanna, Clear Smog!"

The cloud of smoke vanished, exposing Ryan and his two Pokemon to their opponents.

"Ice Beam!" Ryan shouted, a beam of blue energy flew through the air, hitting the Ghastly out of the air.

"Sableye... Mega Evolve!"

"Charmeleon, Ancrestral Drive Mode 2!" Ryan said, as Charmeleon's green aura turned purple.

Charmeleon and Frogadier leaped forward, preparing themselves for the coming challenge.

A new enemy appears to face our heroes, how will Ryan and Zaine fight against them? What is Team Astral? And just where are Silver and the others?

Find out next time: Ria to the rescue! Team Astral of the Cerberus Alliance!

The next chapter's title leaves a lot on the mind, doesn't it? Honestly, I feel like splitting up the rather LARGE group of 10(technically 8) people. For instance, it would allow me to reveal multiple OC's at once, yet each would meet a different person. Say for instance if Chris were to meet Hyper Sol, a character he's never met, later on in the story as opposed to Ryan and Silver being introduced immediately.

Trust me, I know what I'm doing.

Seriously, those who own OC's, CONTACT ME PLS! I need confirmation that your keeping up with the story.

OC's on hold: Coal Stroke(1), Warren Peace(1), Ice Shade(1).

I've decided on a set schedule for this story: Once every 3 weeks. If I can't manage that... then fuck me.
