Adam and Ryder stumbled their way up to their rooms. Dean's nerves were on edge. For an hour he was scared out of his mind that they were hurt in some way. His fear quickly turned to enraged anger once he found out they drove home drinking. Garrett went to the bar, poured them both two shots of whiskey and handed one of the glasses to Dean.
"Here, you look like you really need this."
Dean took the glass, "thanks."
He shot it down quickly. He was quiet for a couple of moments.
"Has Rye ever come home drunk before?"
"No, this is a first for her," Garrett sighed, "but she is going through a lot of changes right now."
"Yeah, me being one of them right?" Dean asked unsurely.
"Yes, but you are one of the good things, I promise; now let's get back to bed, in a few hours you and I have two teenagers to set straight."
Dean sighed, put his glass down on the table, "Oh yes, yes we do."
HANGOVER FROM HELL
It was six thirty in the morning when Adam's cell phone continued to ring over and over and over. Adam fumbled for it to turn the ringer off and hit loud speaker by mistake.
"ADAM!" The booming voice shouted.
Adam jumped and threw the phone once he realized what he did and that it was his father.
"ADAM, ANSWER ME DAMN IT!" YOU HAVE TEN SECONDS TO ANSWER ME OR I WILL ADD TWENTY-FIVE LICKS FROM MY BELT TO YOUR ORIGINAL PUNISHMENT!"
Adam scrambled off his bed and over to where the phone landed. He scooped it up.
"Dad! I'm here, I'm here," he answered in a panic before the realization of his massive headache kicked in.
He looked over at the clock and felt even sicker to his stomach.
"Adam Alexander, what were you thinking!? I just read the text message from your brother. Getting drunk was bad enough; but, then to drive and have your little niece in the car; this is just unacceptable."
Adam felt so sick he only took in every other word his dad was spouting out. He did catch one thing in particular.
"Little? Dad, Jesus, Ryder is only six months younger than I am. Damn, what is with you and Dean? You act like I went partying with a five year old."
"Are you seriously sassing off to me little boy!? For your own sake I really, really hope you are under some horrible witches spell; because that, that would be the only thing that will save your little butt from Dean and myself."
"Dad, okay, I'm sorry. Please, I feel so sick. Please let me go back to bed and lecture me like, tomorrow."
"Ohh, of course, I am so very sorry to have disturbed you. Please pardon my manners."
The phone was really quiet for a moment as Adam was too hung-over to comprehend his father's sarcasm or if he was being for real. He quickly got confirmation of which.
"THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL I AM LETTING YOU OFF THE HOOK THAT EASY! Get in the shower, take some aspirin with tomato juice and I want you to go for a five mile run. You can run along down the path that starts behind the house."
"Dad, come on, that's torture," he whined.
"You'll live and it's part of my punishment until Sam and I are able to get back. And I will know if you do it or not because when I hang up with you I'm going to be calling Dean."
"Dad, please, please, why can't I just sleep some more first, and what about Ryder?"
"No, you cannot; and what about Ryder? She isn't my child, you are; but, I seriously don't have any doubt that Dean will set her straight."
"Daaaaaad."
"Stop the whining this instant. You put yourself in this position; now go do what I told you to."
It was quiet for a moment. Adam started to fall back to sleep.
"ADAM!" John shouted.
Adam jumped, "I'm up! I'm up!"
John sighed, "Adam, wake up and do what I told you."
"Yes, dad," he answered sleepily and simply.
"I'll check in on you later."
"Alright."
"Alright, bye."
"Bye."
Adam turned the cell phone off completely and went back to sleep. Ten minutes passed before Adam was rudely awakened once again. SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! Adam jumped up out of bed the instant he felt a fiery sting which his thin material made boxers gave him no protection for. He rubbed his bottom and found the source of his pain.
"What the fuck Dean!?"
"Watch your mouth little boy; and why aren't you in the shower!?"
"What are you talking about?" He whined.
"Dad! He called me and told me that he gave you a direct order."
"What? You had that dream too? What a trip."
Dear observed his younger brother for a few moments. It was clear Adam had yet to completely sober up.
"Adam, it wasn't a dream; dad really did call you this morning. He called me after to make sure you obeyed."
"Shit, are you serious? Are you going to tell dad I went back to sleep?" Adam asked nervously.
Dean sighed the instant he saw the helpless, terrified look in his baby brothers' big blue eyes.
"Tell you what, if you get in that shower right now and meet me downstairs in the kitchen within ten minutes; then, my lips are sealed and I won't tell dad you fell back to sleep."
Adam exhaled, "thank you, thank you, thank you," he said as he made his way to the bathroom and turned the shower water on.

Adam walked down to the kitchen wearing his running gear. He found Dean waiting for him at the table along with dry toast, water, aspirin and some tomato colored concoction of a drink. Dean sat sipping on some coffee. Adam sat down across from him.
"What is that?" Adam asked looking at the undefined drink.
"It's something Sam and I discovered a few years back. It works, trust me."
Adam looked at his oldest brother for a moment and decided he really had no reason not to trust him. He took the mystery drink, smelled it first and decided it was so far so good. It smelled like vegetables, mostly tomatoes. He took one drink and decided again, so far so good. He sipped on it as he took the aspirin and nibbled on the dry toast.
"So why are you being so nice to me?" Adam asked after several minutes of silence.
Dean smirked, "nice to you? What am I supposed to do? Hate you? Abuse you? What?"
Adam shrugged, "I don't know, I mean, I did drive home while drunk and had Rye with me."
Dean gave Adam his signature smile that he always did when trying to keep himself calm.
"Oh trust me little brother I am furious; and you will certainly be punished; but, you are my little brother and my first duty as your big brother is to look out for your well being."
"But what if I had gotten Ryder killed? Would you still be looking after my well being?"
"Are you trying to get me to hate you? What are you doing?"
Tears fell down Adam's young sweet face.
"Well, I hate myself. It hit me in the shower. I realized what I had really done. It's one thing to put my life at risk; but, but I risked Ryder's life."
Adam began to sob, "I'm so sorry Dean. Honest, I'm so sorry for taking Ryder with me."
Dean watched his brother for a few minutes.
"Are you sorry for drinking and driving or just sorry for taking Ryder with you while doing it?"
"I'm sorry that I had Ryder with me and put her life at risk," he cried out, "I promise I will never, ever, ever do that again."
Dean observed Adam for another moment or two.
"Alright, I believe you. Let's go, you have some running to do."
Adam stopped crying for a moment and looked up at Dean.
"Wait, but I just said I was sorry and would never do it again. You said you believed me."
"Yes, I believe you will never drive under the influence again with Ryder in the car; but, now I need to make sure you never drive under the influence again, PERIOD. Grab your water and let's go."
"But Deeeaaaannn."
"Don't but Dean me, now let's go or you will be feeling the wrath of my fury before we even get to the trail."

It was two in the afternoon before Ryder made her way down to the kitchen for more water. As she was walking out, her father, Dean, and uncle, Garrett were on their way in.
"Well, look at that," said Dean, "the princess has been awakened."
Ryder groaned, "Daddy please don't speak so loudly. My head is still pounding."
"Ohh I'm so sorry. Okay, well, I certainly wouldn't want to make your headache worse," he said before he turned, "Garrett, do you perhaps have a riding crop or cane I could use to give Ryder her punishment?"
Garrett looked at him a bit taken back before he realized the sarcasm in Dean's tone.
"Awe yes, right, those implements certainly are quieter when compared to a hairbrush or paddle."
Ryder's eyes widened, "umm okay, okay, I think my headache isn't tthhaaaaat bad."
"Oh, well good to know," said Dean, "how about the three of us head back up to your room now then?"
"Mm my room? Why can't we just stay down here?"
"Down here? Alright, if you want your spanking down here where Maria and possibly Adam can see you, I guess that is your choice. It doesn't bother me any. You Garrett?"
"Me? Oh, no, not at all."
Ryder became a bit fidgety and stuck out her bottom lip before she spoke.
"Why do I have to get a spanking at all? Can't this hangover be my punishment?"
Dean looked at her surprised for a moment then over at Garrett and they both started to laugh. Ryder crossed her arms and pouted all the way up to her room.

Dean sat down on Ryder's bed as Garrett sat down on the chair he pulled out from under her work desk.
"Can't I take a shower first?" She whined.
"Afterwards," Dean answered simply, "now, come over here in front of me."
She obeyed with only some hesitation. He looked up at her as she stood in front of him.
"Tell me, why are you in trouble?"
She crossed her arms again, looked at her father for a moment then over at her uncle. She thought for a moment then sighed before she answered.
"It's because I got drunk and got in the car with a driver who was also drunk."
"Okay, good start. Now tell us, why are those things wrong?"
"Dadddyyy."
"No, no, no, just answer my questions little girl without whining."
She sighed again, "drinking is bad cause it impairs my judgment and I can end up really hurt or make a stupid decision that ruins the rest of my life; and getting in the car with a drunk driver is dangerous to my life period."
Dean looked at her for a moment as did Garrett.
"Well, it's obvious you have been listening to me," said Garrett, "so why did you do it if you know it's wrong?"
"I just wanted to forget for a little bit I guess. You know about Noah and my future with Cas and stuff."
"And why did you get in the car with Adam? Or, why did you let him drive? Even if you were afraid to call one of us," said Dean, "you could have called a cab."
"I don't know, we didn't think about it I guess."
"Well, I sure hope after today you will remember to think further about the decisions you make; and to help you remember," Dean continued, "your uncle and I agreed that you are grounded for a month. No sleepovers, no parties, pretty much just home, school and fencing, nothing more."
"And to seal the deal," Garrett added, "you're getting a spanking. I'm going to do the warm up and your father is going to finish it off with your hairbrush."
"Noooo, please, please not that," Ryder whimpered, "Why can't I just be grounded?"
"Why?" Dean answered, "It's simple, you put your life at risk and others as well. You went along with Adam instead of stepping up and trying to convince him for you both to take a cab or call one of us."
"Okay, I'm sorry. I won't ever do it again."
"And we are here to make sure of it," said Garrett, "now go and get your hairbrush and hurry back. You have thirty seconds."
"Uncle Garrett," she whined.
"Time is ticking and every second over will result in five more with the brush."
Ryder's eyes widened briefly before she scurried off quickly to her bathroom. She returned shortly with her brush in hand.
"Ten seconds to spare," said Dean as he looked at his watch.
She stood there, almost as if frozen.
"Ryder, back over here, front and center," Dean ordered; but, with a soft layered tone.
"Daddy please, I promise, I…"
"Young lady, if I have to repeat myself you will deeply regret the outcome."
Dean looked at her with his piercing hazel colored eyes. She took a deep breath and moved closer. He held at his hand in order for her to give him the brush and she did.
"You're with me first," said Garrett, "let's go, over my lap."
She looked at them both with sadness.
"Please Uncle Garrett, daddy, I'm still feeling really sick to my stomach."
"Well then you will certainly remember this lesson that much more won't you?" Dean asked rhetorically.
She finally knew all hope was defeated and did as they told her. She wore a Victoria's Secret tank pajama set. Tank top was a light grey that read number one love angel. The bottoms were full-length, pink and white striped color with drawstring waist; Garrett un-tied the bow in front before he helped guide her over his lap.
The spanking began immediately. Garrett started on the lower center of her rounded, firm young bottom and continued for another thirty seconds with a firm pressure to each landing. She felt ill and the spanking was certainly not benefiting her physical health in any shape or form. After the initial thirty seconds he reached the waist band of her pajama bottoms and panties simultaneously and bared her bottom with one swoop of motion. She threw her hand back right away.
"Please, please no more, I'll be good. I'll never do it again," she whimpered as tears formed puddles within her beautiful hazel colored eyes, her father's eyes.
"We have only just begun," said Garrett simply as he took her hand and held it at the small of her back.

Adam is awaked by the distinct sounds of someone being spanked. He knew it was his niece. The sobbing, the pleading.
"Daddy, please, I'm sorry!"
Adam sat up and leaned his legs over to the edge of his bed. He rested his elbows on his knees with his head rested in his hands. A couple minutes went by before he heard the sound of the spanking stop. The crying continued. Adam got out of bed and went out to the hallway. He stopped himself several times from knocking on Ryder's bedroom door. He began to pace. It wasn't long before the door opened. Garrett walked out and as Adam looked inside he could see Ryder straddling Dean and his comforting her as she cried on his shoulder.
"Do you need something Adam?"
"Umm yeah, I was just wondering how Rye was doing?"
"She is just fine, you know, considering."
"Umm, do you think I can talk to them?"
Garrett looked over at Dean and he nodded yes.
"Sure, go ahead, I'll be back up shortly with water, I'll grab a bottle for you as well."
"Thank you."
Garrett nodded and left. Adam walked in and sat down.
