Chapter 14 Red Arrow's Fanclub

Mount Justice
It was a perfect beautiful warm spring day in Happy Harbor; a blissful relief from the cold bitterness and fury of Killer Frost who had sought vengeance against the Justice League and had blasted the east coast, giving Happy Harbor another several months of winter, encasing the area in a snow globe, thick ice and a thick blanket of snow the team was unable to do any mission due to being iced and snowed in. Mount Justice itself was a marvelous sight, the snow glazing and the mountain sides with a shimmering white. Now that the League had managed to take down the group of criminals and Killer Frost was taken care of, the winter wonderland had slowly dissipated and the six teenagers took advantage of their free time and lazed around in the grassy hillside that overlooked the ocean.
"It feels so amazing to be outside to feel warmth instead of numb or frozen" the long blonde hair archer commented flipping back her ponytailed hair and leaned back on her hands, glancing over at her red head companion speedster, Wally West. "Yeah, I will never complain about heat or even eat a frozen dinner ever again" he replied jokingly receiving a hard eye roll from Artemis, a grunt from Conner, a head shake from Kaldur, a giggle from M'gann, and an amused laugh from Robin.
"You know what we haven't done in awhile? Our Three words game" Wally remarked as he stretched out.
"It also seems like you're wasting your time instead of training or being useful" A new voice replied from behind the teenagers. The six heroes turned to see an old friend, who wore black and red attire the design similar to Green Arrow.
"Roy!" They all exclaimed in delight and surprised, crowding around the archer who kept his arms folded over his chest. "I didn't come here for a social call. Let's go inside" Roy responded and led the team back towards the base. "Where is the League? I haven't received any communication from Watchtower, I was told to come here if that ever happened" Roy continued as they entered the base. The team looked at another with uncertainly, however Robin's gloved fingers danced across the holographic keyboard. "Let's find out what they're up to and where they are" Robin replied with a grin. Several minutes passed by, the usual bright confidant grin fading as he continued to type away.
"Access Denied' a female's voice echoed repeatedly rang before the hologram began to flickered and faded completely before a holographic batman appeared. The team paused and gaped at the hologram. Batman's very distinctive voice spoke; "I assumed you would attempt to hack into the Watchtower's system and sensitive files as you did before so I took the liberty to upgrade the defensive systems. You now have a 48 hour virus that will prevent you from hacking; I suggest you find the information you are looking for elsewhere" and with that Batman vanished.
"Nice try Rob" Wally said, patting Robin's shoulder who chuckled and shook his head. "I should have known he would do that"
"It was a complete waste of time'' Roy commented dryly as the team paused in the lobby. "It seems like we have no choice but to wait" Kaldur replied calmly.
"Oh I know, we can play TW while we wait" Wally suggested as the others nodded in ascent. "TW? Do I even want to know what that is?" Roy inquired arching an eyebrow. "We will fill you in" Robin replied with a grin. "I will get snacks and drinks!" M'gann flew off to the kitchen as the team and Roy made their way into the living room.
Once they settled down and M'gann had returned with various snacks and drinks then the team explained the game to Roy. "Hmph sounds kind of childish to me" was Roy's response.
"Just give it try" Artemis replied munching loudly on a potato chip.
"I'll start it off" Robin suggested with an amused grin. "Just followed our lead"
"One day in"
"Star City there" Kaldur then spoke.
"Was a vigilante" Conner went after Kaldur.
"Who wore red" M'gann continued.
"And black, who" Artemis said.
"Was an archer" Wally hinted munching on a handful of pretzels.
"With exceptionally high" Roy continued.
"Skill and attitude"
Chuckles rang out throughout the room at Robin's words. A smug smirk formed on Roy's face as he looked at the others. "Glad you guys recognize my talent and the attitude is what gets me taken seriously, you guys might want to try it sometime. Robin, you should know out of anyone here" Roy commented.
"Let's continue before someone's ego gets exceptionally large" Artemis commented dryly. Kaldur nodded with a smile and continued;
"Who, beneath his"
"Tough guy attitude"
"Was actually a"
"Pretty decent guy"
"Who wanted to"
"Make things right"
"And he wanted"
"To be more"
"Then a clone" Conner spoke then fell silent. Both Roy and Conner understood and what it felt like to feel incomplete, alone, and to live up to expectations of the originals.
"Let's keep going" M'gann said cheerfully and continued;
"Which he was"
"But wanted to"
"Prove that to"
"Others and himself"
"So one day" Robin said then took a drink of lemonade.
"He went out" Kaldur continued leaning back in his seat.
"And followed the" Conner went on munching on a cookie.
"Red arrows in" M'gann followed after Conner.
"Star City until" Artemis spoke and cuddled to Wally.
"The red arrows "
"Led him to"
"A Red Arrow"
"Building. A building"
"He never saw"
"Before and wondered"

"So Red Arrow"
"Stepped inside and"
"Discovered a group"
"Of young adults"

"Wait a minute. Are you saying these people are fans?" Roy inquired curiously with a chuckle.
"Isn't this a nice ego booster?" Wally grinned as Roy just shook his head.
"Were great admirers"
"That actually worshiped"
"The ground that"
"Roy walked on."
"The group showed"
"Red Arrow around"
"Their sanctuary which"
"Was filled with"
"Everything from Red"

"Was amazed that"

"Such a group"
"Of fans. Once"
"The tour had"
"Ended, Red Arrow"
"Applauded and said'
"I just might"
"Have a bigger"
"Fan club then"
"Green Arrow."
With that the team along with Roy burst out laughing at the finishing words. Once the laughter had died down, Roy stood up and stretched and gave a smile. "As much as I hate to admit that was not as childish as I thought and well…the most fun I had in awhile."
"You are always welcome to join us" Kaldur replied with a smile.
"Don't push it" Roy chuckled and then placed a finger to his earpiece listening intently. "On my way" he replied and looked at the others. "I have to go the league just came back. See you guys around"
