"Okay… Ssshhh…" Santana helped Brittany out of the car. "You'll gonna wake everybody up… keep quiet." She hushed Brittany as she carried the blonde inside the house.

"Ish tha' jaaaaar always there, San?" Brittany slurry asked while pointing at the gigantic jar near the door.

"Ssshhh! Just keep quiet, okay?" Santana gently closed the door behind them.

"Yes ma'am!" Brittany saluted Santana and laughed. Santana shook her head and smiled at how cute her girlfriend looks like. She carried Brittany up to her room, bridal style. It made her wonder what it will be like when they finally get married. Would I be the one to carry her? Or would she be the one to carry me over the threshold. She thought while her eyes remained fixated on the sleepy blonde in her arms. Crap! Would something like that even happen? Stupid! She chastised herself for having such thoughts. She blamed it on the alcohol.

"Britt, we're here. Would you be able to open the door for me, please?" Santana whispered to the half-awake blonde.

"What dooooooor?" Brittany narrowed her eyes to look around. She pouted and Santana knew that Brittany's mind is not working really well. She sighed to herself. "Never mind." She almost dropped Brittany when she opened the door. The blonde buried her face on the crook of Santana's neck. "You're such a lightweight, you know that?" Santana told the almost sleeping blonde.

She walked towards Brittany's bed and turned on the table lamp. She gently placed her blonde down on the bed. "Okay babe, you have to let go now." She tried to get out of Brittany's tight embrace.

"No!" The blonde demanded. "I will never let ya go."

"Baby, come on. You need to rest."

"Isaidno!" Brittany tightened her grip on Santana's neck. She pulled the Latina closer until she's half lying on Brittany. "Never."

"I can't breathe." Santana said and she immediately felt Brittany's arms loosened a little. She kissed Brittany's neck and tried to remove Brittany's arms from her. Brittany sighed in defeat. "Brittany, rest okay? You need to sleep."

"M'kay." The blonde mumbled.

"Good girl." Santana smiled down at Brittany. She removed Brittany's shoes carefully. "Now we have to get you out of that dress." She whispered. "I'll just go get a shirt for you. Don't move."

"M'kay." The blonde mumbled again. She tried unzipping her own dress but failed afterwards. Santana came back chuckling at how ridiculous Brittany looks. She's tangled over the mattress.

"What are you doing?" Santana sat beside Brittany on the bed placing the clothes on her lap. "Come here. I'll help you."

"I'm fiiiiiiiiine!" Brittany whined.

"No, you're not. Up!" Santana tugged Brittany's hands to get her to sit up. She supported Brittany and unzipped the dress. "Hands up now, babe." Brittany reluctantly followed. "Oh, come on. Don't give me that look." But Brittany remained to stare at her. "Fine. Take your dress off and wear these." She handed Brittany the large t-shirt and the shorts she gathered. Then she stood up, ready to leave.

"Heeey! Where d'ya think yeeeerr going?" Brittany pouted, still trying her best to get out of the dress.

"I'm going to my room." Santana shrugged.

"Saaaany! I can't… ugh!" Brittany surrendered when she couldn't take her dress off of her.

Santana turned around and laughed hard when she saw Brittany. Her dress is half out of her body. "What happened to you?" Santana shook her head and pulled the dress out of Brittany. "You're fine huh? I see…" Santana smirked receiving a soft chuckle from her girl. Brittany huffed back on the bed, eyes closed and still chuckling. Santana then noticed that her girlfriend is only wearing her panties and bra. She gulped as her eyes travelled down Brittany's slender body – taught abs and legs that could go on forever. Brittany cleared her throat and Santana immediately brought her gaze back to Brittany's. Brittany has a smirk plastered on her face.

"Liking the view, Miss Lopez?" she teased.

"Uhh… I ah… I was just…" Santana stuttered.

"Checking me out? I see…" Brittany winked at her mischievously.

"Britt, don't do that." Santana sighed and forced her eyes closed.

"Do what?" she whispered in a seductive voice.

"Britt, please…" Santana turned her back against Brittany. The change of her breathing pattern is evident. Brittany slowly sat up, she used all her energy to move closer to Santana. "Britt–" Santana's voice hitched when she felt hot breath on her neck. Soft lips barely touched it. Her breathing became heavy and shaky as Brittany trailed wet kisses from her neck down to her shoulders.

"You have to be kidding me…" her voice cracked. She was about to stand up when she felt a pair of hands circling her hips from behind. Brittany's hands moved up and down Santana's curves. Santana tilted her head, giving Brittany more access to attack her neck. A soft moan escaped her lips. "Wait! Wait… stop!" Santana attempted to get out of Brittany's grip.

"Do you really want me to stop?" Brittany whispered, still having a seductive voice that turned Santana on. Santana just nod, not trusting her voice at the moment. "Then why does your body says the opposite?" Brittany slowly unzipped Santana's dress. Santana caught Brittany's hands and stopped her.

"Babe, you're drunk."

Brittany's hands moved from Santana's grip. She rested her hands on Santana's hips and placed playful kisses on Santana's back.

"You're gonna be the death of me. Do you know that?" Santana faced Brittany and they stared deeply at each other's eyes.

"Santana…" Brittany's eyes turned darker.

"Brittany…" Santana whispered.

Brittany licked her lips and Santana fixed her eyes on the blonde's inviting lips. She unconsciously bit her lip on the process. When she returned her gaze on Brittany's, the tug of the strong force between them became too much. Shit! Santana thought and they met halfway for a hungry kiss. Brittany moved to Santana's lap, hands all over each other.

"I'd really love to rip that dress of yours." Brittany whispered.

"What's stopping you?" Santana panted out.

Brittany smirked on their kiss and brought her hands behind Santana. She pushed the Latina back on the bed and how she managed to get the unwanted thing off Santana's body is still a mystery. They were now tangled in bed, kisses became deep and ragged breaths filled the air. Brittany straddled Santana and kissed her jaw down to her neck. Using all the force that she has, Santana flipped them. Brittany chuckled and kissed Santana's throat. Her left hand traced the back of Santana while her other hand travelled in front. She closed her eyes when she reached Santana's bra. She can feel the fullness of her breast. Santana moaned and licked her lips. "Oh, Britt…" Brittany teased her by planting soft kisses on her earlobe.

Brittany placed her legs between Santana's and pressed slightly. She received another moan from the Latina. Sweat covered both of them as the teasing intensified.

Suddenly the room was covered with early morning light. "Shit!" Santana stopped. "It's morning already." It's more of a question than a statement. Brittany stopped trailing kisses to look at Santana.

"Britt, um… I uhh… we have to… okay!" Santana took a deep breath. "I have to go. Um, you need to sleep. I know you're tired. Okay…" Santana untangled herself from Brittany and sprinted out of the room.

"Wait!" Brittany shouted but Santana was out of the room. She sighed and let the tiredness from the last night to take over her being. A couple of minutes later, she was out to dreamland.

"Santana?" Maribel knocked on the door twice. "Mija… open the door please."

Santana looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table. She's been asleep for six hours straight.

"What is it, mami?" She shouted and buried her head on the pillow.

"Darling, the Pierce's will be here shortly."

"What?" Santana lift her head to look for her glasses. When she found it, she stood up and opened the door.

"Santanita! What are you wearing?" Her mom pushed her inside the room. Santana forgot that she's only wearing her underwear.

"Sorry mami." She mumbled, a little embarrassed at her clumsiness. Her mother handed her the robe she found. They sat on the bed. "What's up with the Pierce's?"

"Albert just arrived from his trip to New Jersey. Susan called, she said her husband wanted to talk to your father."

"About what?" Santana stretched out.

"I don't know. But I think it'll be about the wedding."

"Oh, of course." Santana rolled her eyes.

"The planner will be here as well. And the pastry chefs your father hired will be here for cake tasting."

"Wait! Hold up, mami. Pastry chef? But Fed will be the one to cater in the wedding."

"Um… mija, Fed and your papi… had a little misunderstanding."

Santana shook her head and sighed annoyingly. "So that's it? What he wants is what he gets? What about me, mami? It is my wedding. Mine!" the older woman lowered her gaze. She understood where her daughter is coming from. She placed a calming hand on her daughter's shoulder.

"I'm really sorry, mija. Don't worry, I'll talk to your father." She offered a small smile.

There's a knock on the door. Brittany poked her head inside.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you were –"

"It's okay, Brittany. Come here." Maribel called her in.

"Hi Mrs. Lopez."

"Hello, how are you feeling? Does your head still ache?"

"No, I'm good. Thanks for the meds and magical soup." Brittany smiled sheepishly at her soon to be mother-in-law.

"Hey babe… what time did you wake up?"

"Oh, that girl is up since one in the afternoon."

"You're such a heavy sleeper, duchess." Brittany sat beside Santana on the bed and held her hand.

"Okay, I'll leave you two for now. See you both downstairs at dinner." Maribel kissed both of the girls before leaving. Once the door was shut, Brittany kissed the fiery Latina.

"I can't believe it! He fired Fed. Of all people, he fired Fed!" Santana stood up and paced around the room.

"Okay, Santana… calm down. I don't know what happened but I'm sure Mrs. Lopez will do something about it."

"Britt, you don't understand! He fired Fed! He's more than a chef, he's my friend. He didn't even acknowledge that."

Brittany stood up to stop Santana from pacing. She turned Santana to face her and opened her arms for the smaller girl. "Come here." Santana settled in Brittany's arms. Brittany kissed the top of Santana's head.

"We'll talk to your dad, okay? Don't get too cranky, duchess."

Santana instantly relaxed at Brittany's embrace.

"Tonight's going to be a long night, Britt." Santana let out a shaky sigh.

"Yep. But don't worry, you'll have me there." Brittany smiled down at Santana.

"Are you and your dad okay?" Santana asked.

"Hm? I think so. I just…" Brittany trailed off not knowing what to say.

"Just?"

"I don't know. I… I know it's kinda stupid but I kinda blame him on what happened to us."

"Brittany," Santana pulled back to look at Brittany. She intertwined their hands together.

"I can't help it, San. I couldn't look at him the way I look up to him before. You have to understand that he ruined my life."

"Britt, don't say that."

Brittany has her eyes on the floor. The rim of her eyes turned red while she's trying to suppress the tears that are threatening to fall.

"Don't hate your father because of the kind of life he gave you before. It was all part of your past…"

Brittany turned her back on Santana and walked towards the window. She crossed her arms in front of her chest. There was a long silence between them.

"He knows about the café." Brittany's voice cracked. Santana rushed to her side. "He sent me an email earlier this morning… he told me to shut down my business."

"What?" Santana disbelievingly asked.

"Or he'll be forced to do it himself."

"Why would he do that?"

"Because… he is Pierce. He is The Empire." Brittany plainly said as tears started to cascade her face. Santana wiped Brittany's face and cupped her cheek. "Because I will be forever in his shadows."

"Look at me… stop crying, Britt. He is not worthy of any of you tears." Santana continuously wiped Brittany's face. She cupped Brittany's face and leaned in to kiss her. "Hey." She whispered. "You won't have to do that, okay?" Santana is trying to stop the rage forming in her system.

"But how? You don't know what he's capable of. I'm just worried about Tina and the rest of the staff. They are invested on that café. It's not just about it, their world revolved around the café for the past five years. It's not that easy."

Santana remained quiet. She thought of possible solutions to counter the plans of Brittany's father.

"What if you just sell it then? He will not be able to shut it down if you sell it to someone."

"I thought about it, it will not work." Brittany shook her head.

"It will, trust me. It will."

"But who would want that old café? Besides, I don't have much time to advertise it."

"I do. I want it." Santana smiled making the tears from Brittany's eyes subside.

"What?" Brittany stared at her platonically.

"I want it, babe. Besides, I am the only choice you have for now. I'll call Quinn to arrange the papers now."

"But San…" Brittany tried to protest.

"It would still be ours, baby." Santana winked.

"Thank you, Santana. Oh, I couldn't thank you enough." Brittany hugged Santana really tight.

"You don't have to thank me. We'll show your father that he doesn't have control over you now. You got to show him that you are still successful without him."

"Santana, I don't want to show him that." Brittany walked to the bed and sat. "Am I a bad daughter for wishing that I don't have to see him again?"

Santana snorted and smiled. Brittany chuckled at her ridiculous question.

"It's stupid, I know." Brittany whispered when Santana sat beside her.

"No, it's not. It would be weird if you don't feel like that at all." Santana looked straight into her eyes.

"Really?"

"Yes, babe. Being nice is too dangerous, you know?"

"Yeah. I know that now." Brittany beamed at the love of her life. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Good thing you don't have to know." Santana whispered.

The Pierce's arrived at the Lopez's residence. Albert immediately requested to talk to Ricardo. The two businessmen went to the office and had a serious talk. The tension didn't go unnoticed by the two housewives they left in the living room.

"What's the matter with Albert, Susan?" Maribel asked.

"I don't know. But I noticed that something's a little off with him." Susan replied with a worried look.

"Good thing Brittany is not here to witness that. Your husband could be really intimidating."

"Oh, tell me about it." Susan rolled her eyes and chuckled.

"I'll just go to the kitchen to check on the main dish." Maribel excused herself.

"Can I help?" Susan offered.

"Sure. Come on." The two older women went to the kitchen.

.

"Britt, your parents are here." Santana knocked on Brittany's door. Brittany didn't answer so she decided to let herself in.

"Babe?" She looked around and noticed that the blonde is nowhere to be found. She went to the balcony to check but no luck. She went inside the room again and heard someone singing.

"Can you be my nightingale? Sing to me, I know you're there… you could be my sanity, bring me peace, sing me to sleep… say you'll be my nightingale…" Santana heard the weak voice coming from the bathroom. Of course, she's there. She rolled her eyes at herself. The singing stopped and sobbing sounds followed. Santana was about to knock on the door but decided against it. It broke her heart seeing her bubbly blonde like that. She went to her room and pick up her phone.

"Did you receive the files?"

"Yes Santana. The contract is ready. I'll send it to you now."

"Okay. Do you need anything else?"

"Yes, your signature and Brittany's. I'll go there first thing in the morning."

"Can you do me a favor, Q?"

"What is it?"

"Can you bring the rest of the documents tonight?"

"What? Why?"

"I told you why. Look, the Pierce's are here." Even just the thought of Mr. Pierce made Santana furious.

"Okay." Quinn sighed. "I'm on my way there."

"Thank you, Q. I'll see you later."

"San?" Santana felt a pair of arms wrapped around her from behind. "Who was that?"

"Hey." She smiled. "It's Quinn. She's on her way here."

"But why?"

"For the contracts, babe."

"Oh, she's done with them already?"

"Yep. And she reviewed the other documents you sent her as well. She fixed something on them, you don't have to worry about it anymore."

Brittany sighed. "I talked to Tina today…" Santana turned around to look at the blonde. "She was disappointed for me, too. But then I told her that I sold it to you… they were okay with it."

"It's a good thing, right?" Santana smiled at Brittany. The blonde gave her a tight lip smile.

"Yeah… I'm not worried about it anymore. I trust you with everything, Santana."

"Thanks Britt-Britt."

"I should be the one thanking you. You're like my lady in shining armour." She said earning a genuine laugh from the Latina.

"Okay. Okay… you're parents are here. Do you want to go downstairs?"

"Okay." Brittany smiled and pecked Santana on the lips before going down.

Brittany greeted her mom at the kitchen. They exchanged childhood stories for a while. Santana excused them when Quinn arrived. They went to her office to sign the paper works.

"Wait! Co-owner?" Brittany said while reading the contracts. "Why is my name here?"

"Didn't Santana tell you?" Quinn scrunched her brows and looked at Santana.

"Babe, I told you… it would still be ours. I don't want all your hard work to go to nothing. Besides, you'll have my name there. You don't have to worry about your dad. I'll handle him. If he wanted to sabotage your business, he'll have to go through me first."

"But San…" Brittany looked at Santana.

"If you don't want it, Quinn can still change the contracts."

"Yes, I can do that but you'll have to wait until tomorrow. I have to make some revisions–"

"No, no. You have done enough, Quinn." Brittany offered a warm smile. Quinn nodded her head. "Santana, I really appreciate that you're doing this but… the amount you gave me for the café is too much."

"I talked to Quinn about it." Santana shrugged.

"The offer you gave Santana is too low. The property and business seems to be in good shape… and I think the money given by San is just enough."

"See babe?" Santana held Brittany's hand. "Don't worry too much."

"Do you still have any question?" Quinn asked. Brittany scanned the documents.

"No more." Brittany said.

"Okay then, let's get this done and over with." Santana signed the contracts.

Brittany hesitated at first but she signed on top of her name. Co-owners. She smiled at the thought. Quinn retrieved the documents and placed it on the file case that she has. She gave Santana and Brittany copies of the contracts.

"Quinn, why don't you stay for dinner?" Santana offered.

"Yeah, there will be cake tasting after dinner. It would be fun." Brittany added.

"That's great but I don't want to intrude." Quinn smiled shyly.

"Since when did you have that kind of mind-set?" Santana scoffed earning a playful glare from Quinn.

"Yeah, yeah. Fine! But I'm staying for Brittany, not for you! Ass!" Quinn playfully smacked Santana in her arm.

"Hey!"

"Thank you for everything, Quinn. And sorry for the rush."

"It's okay. I'm used to this kind of situations. Don't hesitate to call me if you need anything." Quinn squeezed Brittany's hand.

They went back to the dining hall when Maribel called them.

"So when can we discuss the prenuptial agreement?" Ricardo said while they were having dinner.

"As soon as possible, Ric." Albert shrugged.

Santana frowned and it didn't go unnoticed by Brittany.

"Do you want a prenup, S?" Quinn whispered, she's sitting beside Santana.

"I don't even know what that means or what it covers."

"It is setting out both of your terms of possession, control of properties and earnings… and potential division if your marriage didn't work out." Quinn whispered.

"Oh." Is the only response Santana could think of. She scrunched her brows thinking about what Quinn said.

"But do we still need it, Ric? Both of our companies are in good terms." Albert nervously asked. Ricardo slightly narrowed his eyes at Albert in a very businessman manner.

"Let's discuss it some other time." Maribel chimed in. "The chefs are here for the cake tasting."

"I'm still disappointed that Fed is not here." Santana blurted out.

"Honey…" Maribel started.

"I talked to him." Her father sighed. "He'll be in charge of the main dishes. We… compromised for you, Santana." Her father lowered his gaze and cleared his throat.

"Good. Because I need him on my wedding." Santana shrugged.

The cake tasting went well… or at least somehow. Santana criticized all the cake… from the icing to the texture and moist. Brittany and Quinn gave her disapproving looks for acting that way. In the end, they settled to the red velvet.

"Tonight is really a long night." Santana stretched her arms after changing to her PJ's.

"Yeah, and it's all because of you." Brittany yawned, slipping herself under the covers.

"What? Why me? It's not my fault that those cakes taste like junk." Santana rolled her eyes. Brittany chuckled at her while nodding.

"Bash will be here next week for the wedding gowns." Brittany said.

"Ooh, fun! That means I need to keep my body in good shape." Santana winked at her.

"But you already are. Trust me, you're perfect already." Brittany pulled Santana down.

Santana rested her head on Brittany's chest, listening to her heartbeat.

"A lot of crazy things happened in such short time." Brittany sighed.

"Am I one of them?" Santana asked.

"You are." Brittany said. "You are the craziest thing that has happened in my life… I cannot imagine my life without you anymore."

"Yeah?"

"Mhmm. Even though we are new to this kind of relationship, I'm still thankful that I have this with you." Brittany kissed the top of Santana's head.

They fell into a comfortable silence after that.

"Britt, would you like to do the prenup agreement?" Santana asked the thing that's bugging her.

"I don't know. But I think we should do it. I don't have much to offer to you, Santana." Brittany shyly confessed.

"Britt, don't say that. We are both the heiress of our companies."

"But I don't want anything that has to do with my dad. You know how I feel about it. How about you? Do want to do it?"

"I don't know. I'm still thinking." But all I want to do is share everything with you. Santana thought to herself.

"Don't over think, duchess."

Both of them stared blankly at the TV. Brittany arms loosened around Santana. Her breathing became steady and Santana looked up to the sleeping blonde.

She sighed to herself. "You have seen how messy my life can be, how moody I can get, how stubborn I can be yet you still linger around. I tried pushing you away but you always find your way back home to me." She smiled reminiscing all the times Brittany stuck around to woo her and stayed beside her. "When I was a kid, Papi told me that if someone really loves you, they wouldn't let you slip away no matter how hard the situation is and no matter how things go wrong. There's no easy way in love, that's what you taught me." She whispered. "I love you, Brittany S. Pierce. It may sound crazy but… I really like to spend my every day with you. And if ever you are to break my heart, I'm no longer afraid. Because it would be my pleasure to have my heart broken by you."

Brittany smiled to herself upon hearing Santana's confession. She remained still so that the Latina would continue her spiel.

"A lot of things happened in the past… I couldn't get it out of my head. I became a player for a reason. But Puck's right, I quit playing games the moment I met you. This is real. Everything we have is real. I finally accepted that I love you. I love you and I don't want to be with any other guys or girls… I just want you." Santana wrapped her arms tightly around Brittany. She let the calmness of the night took over her. Brittany opened her eyes and smiled sadly at Santana.

"I know, Santana. I love you forever and for always."
