Klaus pressed against the stone building, and watched the spot lights move over the compound. He inhaled deeply, as the light move away from his position, and quickly ran through the open area before the lights got to him. He knelt down at the fence, and pulled out a pair of pliers from the pocket of his blue jeans. He smiled as he remembered how he had gotten them. Sometimes, it paid to friend a guard.

Quickly, but silently, he snapped the fence wires, and checked over his shoulder. He sighed with relief, when he saw the coast was clear as he snipped the last wire, and moved through the opening. Making it past the fence, he crept in the shadows, until he made it to the corner.

He smiled as he recognized the figure against a blue Ford.

"Stefan."

"Keys are inside, so are a change of clothes."

Klaus smiled, and nodded. "Thanks, mate."

Stefan rolled his eyes, but smiled. "I won't even ask if she's worth it." He remarked, smiling still.

He shook his head. "No."

Stefan nodded, and pushed away from the car. "Be careful." He replied, looking around them. "The last time I heard, she was on South Street, or around that way." He added, moving away.

Klaus nodded, and moved to the driver's door, and opened it. Giving his friend another nod, he slipped in the car, and cranked up. He pulled out a picture from the pocket of his jeans, and smiled as his thumb moved over her face. All of this just to be with her, to see her again, it would be worth it.

He pulled out into the street, and turned left. He knew she was waiting for him, she said she would, the day of the trial when they carried him away. He also knew that she had left her apartment from the north end of town, but she never told him where she had left to. He knew that she needed to stay hidden. Too many people were after him, and too many people wanted to get to anyone close to him, that was why she moved.

Pulling into an alley, a few blocks away from the cell, he pulled out the clothes Stefan had left him, and quickly changed as best he could in the confines of the car.

After changing into a dark Henley and bringing out the two necklaces around his neck, he threw the prison shirt out of the window, and backed the car out of the alley.

He glanced at his watch, and sighed when he realized he had only thirty minutes before the prison knew he escaped.

It was funny how life worked. Just a few months ago, he was free and happy, had a wonderful job, family, and her. Now, he was on the run from the law because he got busted for a crime he didn't commit.

Sure he had a temper, but he would never take it out on anyone, nor would he turn dirty, not like his father.

He was framed as a dirty cop, by one, and she knew it. At least she believed him.

He pulled into another alley, and got out of the car. He looked around him, and sighed as a group of people began to surround him.

"What are you doing here, copper?" One man demanded, pushing him against the car.

"I'm looking for someone, Lockwood." Klaus replied, glaring at the man, whose nephew worked for the police station.

Lockwood glared at him, and shook his head. "We don't know anybody." He replied, with a scoff.

He glared at Lockwood, and looked at the others, who were backing away from the look on his face. He pulled out the picture, and showed to the others, ignoring Lockwood. "Have you seen her?" He asked, showing it to a few others.

Lockwood reached for the photo, only for Klaus to grab his wrist, and pull his arm back, and slam him against the car.

"Now, listen here, Mason Lockwood, I know it was your nephew who fudged the evidence, and since I was sent to prison for your damn nephew, I'm no longer a cop, so what is to stop me from ripping out your damned heart and shoving down your throat." He whispered, calmly, only to press Mason into the car harder.

Lockwood grunted, but didn't say a word.

A woman pushed through the crowd, and gently placed her hand on Klaus' shoulder. "I know where she is." She whispered, in Klaus' ear.

Klaus turned his head to look at the woman, who was dark skinned, and had brown hair and haunting green eyes. She was dressed in a white tunic and black leggings with black ankle boots.

"Where is she?" He asked, seeing her eyes fill with kindness.

She glanced at Lockwood, and Klaus glared at the man, and bounced his head on top of the car, and turned to the woman, as Lockwood fell to the ground.

She smiled, and motioned for him to follow her. "This way." She replied, walking through the crowd, with Klaus following her closely.

"Why are you helping me?" He asked, as they made it out of the alley, and into the street.

She smiled and continued to walk. "Because I believe you are innocent, and you are going to need help proving it." She answered, softly.

He smiled, and nodded. "Where are we going?" He asked, as they turned down a dark street with neon lights flashing on one side of the street.

The woman lifted her hand and pointed to a small window with iron stairs in front of it. "She's in that apartment." She replied, turning to walk away.

"You never told me your name." Klaus called out, watching her turn her head as she paused.

"It's Bennett. Bonnie Bennett."

He smiled as he turned back to the window. He turned his head to say something else to her, but she had disappeared from the street.

He sighed, and moved towards the ladder in front of a building, and with one jump, he was able to pull it down, and climb up. He made it to the landing, and began to walk up the one flight of stairs to the window Bonnie had pointed to. He smiled as he found it opened, and moved to sit on the sill.

His eyes searched for a moment and he smiled as he saw her sleeping in the bed with her blonde hair sprayed out like a halo.

He climbed quietly into the room, and walked towards the bed. He smiled as he sat down, and reached forward with his left hand to her face, gently brushing a strand of blonde hair away from her face.

She moaned in her sleep, and slowly opened her eyes. Her eyes blinked a few times as she took in the figure sitting next to her.

She gasped, in shock for a moment, as he smiled tenderly at her.

"Hello, Caroline." He whispered, his eyes moving over her face.

She sat up, and a smile broke through on her face. "Klaus?" She asked, but didn't stop for an answer as she wrapped her arms around his neck, quickly. "It really is you." She whispered, as she held onto him.

He nodded, and held her close. "It's me, love." He whispered, pulling back to look into her eyes. "It's me." He added, searching her eyes. "I've missed you."

She smiled, and touched his scruffy face. "I've missed you." She whispered, stroking his face.

He smiled, and closed the distance between them, as his lips landed on hers in a tender, yet passionate kiss.

He pulled her close to him, and she wove her finger through his hair.

"Love, we can't." He whispered, as his lips grazed her cheek, and heard her sigh.

"Why?" She asked, pulling back to look into his eyes.

He sighed, and caressed her cheek. "Pretty soon, the guards from the prison are going to notice my absence, and start searching the streets." He answered, his eyes moving over her face.

She sighed, and lowered her eyes. "Then why did you come here?" She asked, softly.

He smiled, as he lifted her face slightly. "Because I wanted to see you, I needed you, Caroline." He whispered, honestly.

She smiled, and pulled him closer. "Let me get dressed." She whispered, pulling back, and got out on the opposite side of the bed.

Klaus sighed, and stood up. "Love…"

"Don't you start." She stated, turning with her finger up in the air. "I lost you once. I'm not losing you again." She stated, fire coming out in her words.

He smiled, and watched her take a few clothes out of the dresser, and began to get dressed in front of him. He shook his head at her determination, and watched as she finished up, by pulling her hair back into a ponytail, and checked her appearance in the vanity mirror on her dresser.

He moved towards her, and wrapped his arms around her waist. "You're beautiful." He whispered, kissing her cheek.

She sighed. "Yeah, in a tank, jeans, and flats, I'm really beautiful." She stated, with a shake of her head.

He chuckled, and turned her in his arms. "You will always be beautiful to me, love." He whispered, kissing her lips lightly.

She hummed, and placed her hands on his chest. "You're lucky I love you, Niklaus Mikaelson." She scolded, though the smile on her face told him that she was kidding.

He smiled, and kissed her lightly once more. "Very lucky." He whispered, pulling back. "We better hurry." He replied, taking her hand in his and headed towards the door.

She paused long enough to grab her denim jacket on the chair, and slipped it on as he approached the front door, and opened it carefully. She reached beside her, and grabbed a small back bag, and shrugged when he lifted his brow. "I knew you would come." She replied, watching him tilting his head to the side, though the smile and love in his eyes told her that it was okay.

He reached for her hand, and together they headed out of the room, and into the dark of the night.

I got this idea from being on an 80s kick, which to be honest, I still am, lol. I spent an entire day on youtube watching videos from the 80s, and when I got to this one, I thought of Klaus and Caroline. Not sure why, but I hope you enjoyed it.

I thought about leaving this one right here, but I'm thinking I might do another part, what do you think?

I won't say which songs I'm doing next because sometimes the muse strikes and sometimes it doesn't, but trust me, I will get to the ones you have requested, and now since it's summer, I will definitely get to them! Please be patient.

Until Next Time...
