I sighed as I looked out the window, the moon's beams shinnying through. It's been almost two months since I was here. I have only seen Kagome three times since. It's now the summer break in Japan, so no school. I remember the shock on her face when she saw me. She was happy, of course and asked what happened. I told her not to tell Lord Sesshomaru that I was okay.

Now, I know you're probably wondering why I said that. I just didn't want any part of history changed with me in the tale, but knowing my luck lately I probably have already done just that. The last time I saw Kagome was two weeks ago, she had brought along with her a necklace. It had a sliver chain with a moon and fang ornaments on it. I knew who gave it to her and put it on. I of course asked her how she got it. She said, he gave it to her to give to me if she did find me.

I look down at said necklace; I have often found myself fingering it when in deep thought. I have quickly fallen into a routine here but I never forgotten my true home. I wonder, where in the Inuyasha time line is Kagome? Have they discovered that Naraku is a half demon yet? Has Rin died a second time? And where do I fit in all this? After a while I will no longer be able to see Kagome because she will choose to stay in the past once the well stops working. What will I do then, when she is the only tie I have to the past.

Now I often find myself wasting time wandering the shrine grounds or going through the boxes in the attic. You'll be surprised with the wonderful things I found up there. I even found this older, but beautiful Yukata. I had Kagome's mom help me put it on. It fits be perfectly so when the summer festival starts she said she would let me wear it. She was going to get some shoes and do my hair as well. Speaking of which, my hair is longer now, it reaches to my mid back. It is still the kinky curly mess but I found out that if I put on my hair grease, apple vinegar, conditioner, and water mixer to my hair while its wet plus the soft hair rollers it is less crazy but still crazy. I love it though.

I wrapped my hair in the head scarf before laid down to sleep. Tomorrow, I hope something different happens. I want Kagome to come back and we can go to the summer festival together, but I have a feeling she will most likely spend that time with Inuyasha. In that case I should still enjoy myself.

(A Week Later)

Looks like the preparations for the summer festival are beginning. It's a perfect time of the year because I lot more people visit the shrine this time of year. We thought me and the old man would open a stand for people who come here. I could wear the priestess garb that Kaede gave me and when it gets later I could change into my Yukata and explore. Sota is planning on going with some friend's so it'll be just me.

One the decorations were finished and I helped Kagome's mom cook some traditional foods I went to help the old man, with good timing too because people had already begun to start coming around. I greeted them and wished them a happy summer. I met and saw many people, young and old. I even met some kids my age; they were surprise that someone, who looked foreign, would be helping out. I told them that this was family and that I lived here. They were shocked and gave me they're cell to hang out later on. I agreed and when later came I thanked the old man and ran inside to change.

The Yukata I had changed into had a base color of white with red and pink flowers everywhere. It even had golden little birds on the sleeves. I put on my special shoes and had my hair dun up into a cute bun with chop sticks. Kagome's mom toke plenty of pictures before sending me out. I had txed my new friends and met them. There were two girls and a boy there. The one girl, I find out was in Kagome's class, the other was a girl that was in my gym class and the boy was her brother who had decided to tag along. They were all my age, except the boy who was a year older.

We soon became fast friends and spent the rest of the festival together. We soon had our own jokes and when the fireworks ended we made plans to hang out later before summer break ended. I waved goodbye and began to walk home. Maybe leaving in this anime was so bad after all. I look up at the sky, it had no moon, and then I began fingering my necklace. What would make this even better if I could spend it with Sesshomaru. I frowned a little, I sound like some love sick girly girl from an anime.

Once in my room I toke one last picture with the moon and well in the back ground. Once I was undressed and the Yukata and things put away I save the picture on my thumb drive to save for later. I wanted to print out the picture and put it in a frame later. I glanced back at the real well outside. I have a feeling that tomorrow, something will happen. I think this will be the last time Kagome will be on this side of the well.
