Beca watched as Chloe leaned in closer to her, she saw her lick her lips, she saw her close her eyes. Her heart began to pound quickly in her chest. It was all she could do to lift her hand to stop something she wanted so much, but her fear had taken hold.

Chloe opened her eyes when she felt Beca's hand on her chest. Beca closed her eyes, looking like she was in pain, her arm outstretched as if fending off Chloe's attack. Chloe backed away, tears falling.

"Chlo, I'm sorry I just.." Beca's voice came in a hush.

"No Beca, I never should have, I'm so very sorry" Chloe turned and ran out of the room.

"Chloe, Wait," Beca shouted after her.

The practice was anything but comfortable. The mood in the room had changed abruptly and no one really knew why. Chloe and Beca were being oddly quiet. The group danced around in a circle, just finishing up their final tune.

Love to feel it, Woo

Love to feel the passion…

(Turn it around turn, turn, turn it around, turn ,turn, turn it around.)

"Alright, that's it for today ladies, see you in a few weeks." Aubrey dismissed the group.

Chloe quickly turned and headed towards the door at a quick pace.

"What's up with you?" Cynthia Rose questioned the small brunette. Beca just searched the room for her ginger, but all she caught was the sight of red hair flowing out of the auditorium doors.

"Nothing, I gotta go." Beca grabbed her messenger bag and ran up the steps. "Chloe, Chloe wait up." Beca ran out the doors in search, but Chloe was nowhere to be found.

Days passed with no word from Chloe. Beca tried everything to reach her, but Spring break was upon them, and everyone had left campus. Beca had tried multiple times to contact Chloe but to no avail. She even reached out to Aubrey, who was reluctant to assist.

"Look Beca, I've put up with this EMO attitude for quite long enough. You've really gone too far this time." The blonde raged at the small brunette.

"Aubrey, let me explain…." Beca pleaded.

"NO, Chloe may be a pushover for this tortured soul crap, but I don't play that way. Really Beca, there was no reason to keep stringing her along if you had no intention…"

"Wait, what? Stringing her along? What are you even talking about…we're friends Aubrey." Beca spat back.

"Cut the crap Beca. Everyone…yes EVERYONE can see that you two are more than just friends. Friends don't cuddle and touch each other every chance they get. Friends don't find reasons to sleep over and share the same bed…and FRIENDS don't hide their feelings from one another. If you don't want to be with Chloe, then stop playing these games with her."

Beca stayed silent, as the taller blonde continued her rant. She considered the past few months, and all that Chloe had become to her. Were her feelings really that easy to read? How did she miss what was happening? she continued her internal monologue. Chloe was her best friend, and she was straight. Ok...yes, maybe things had gone too far sometimes, but friends can get confused when they are really close, it happens all the time. Right?

Aubrey finally stopped yelling, and just stared at the younger girl. Was she really this clueless? Then she continued... "What? You have nothing to say? Chloe deserves better than to fall for someone like you Beca. I told her you were nothing but trouble. You are an emotional black hole. And I want you out of her life for good, Beca." Aubrey ended in a roar.

Beca just stared into space, with no response, yet hearing Aubrey take a long deep breath, she suddenly took her moment to interject.

"Aubrey, I agree with most of what you have said…I've been so stupid. I promise you, I do care very deeply for Chloe. I just didn't want to screw anything up. I have my reasons, but I need to speak with Chloe…NOW."

Aubrey eyed the smaller girl, with a raised eyebrow…still skeptical at what she was hearing.

"Aubrey please..help me make this right."

Aubrey remained quiet. As Beca turned to leave in defeat, the taller blonde spoke slowly and in a very serious tone.

"Chloe left last night, she is taking the rest of the semester off. She won't be returning to Barden until next year Beca."

"WHAT?" Beca shrieked.

"Yes, after everything that has happened, she just felt she needed a break, so she decided to go visit her grandmother for the Spring Semester. " Aubrey explained.

"Fine ok, I can just go see her and get this all straightened out. Please, Aubrey, just tell me where to go, I'll fix this I promise."

"Good luck Hobbit" Aubrey sneered. "You see, Chloe's in Ireland." With that Aubrey turned and slammed the door.
