Hey guys, so it's been just over two years and lets just say life has been cray-cray. In February 2016 my nephew, Junior, was born. He'll turn turn next Friday, which just goes to show how quickly time flies. I graduated from University in September last year with a 1st (the highest grade) so I'm currently trying to figure out what I want t do with my life, and, in December, my second nephew, Jesse, was born. I could not be more in love with them both.

Anyway, I was reading through this story, quite randomly, and realised that, while the story was finished, I never posted the Edward POV, so, two years later, I'm gonna do just that.

Hope you enjoy, if any of you are still there haha

Morning, sweetie," my mom said to me as I walked into the kitchen.

"Morning," I said back quietly.

It had been two weeks since our argument with Bella and to say I was taking the end of our friendship hard was an understatement. I had really come to like her since she had moved into town and to hear her throw our friendship into our faces was harsh. While we had grown up as a five-some, we felt like Bella really fit in with us, even though anyone could see that she was keeping a distance, and we were all dealing with Bella's removal from our group differently.

Rosalie wouldn't stop bitching about Bella to the point where it was getting annoying. Every time we would see Bella around school, and with a school so small it happened often, Rosalie would make a comment about her. Jasper and Emmett were pretty much pretending she didn't exist. Alice would give her a dirty look whenever she thought Bella wasn't looking. And me, well, I was pretty much moping.

I sat down at the breakfast bar and my mom placed a plate of pancakes down in front of me.

"You ready for Dad's Day?" she asked me as she poured three cups of coffee out and placed one in front of me.

"Shouldn't you ask dad that? He's the one who has to stand up and talk," I replied.

Mom sighed. "What's the matter, Edward?"

"Nothing," I said, annoyed.

"Edward Anthony Masen Cullen, do not speak to me with that attitude," she said sternly.

"Sorry mom."

She sighed and sat beside me. "Is this about Bella?"

I looked at her. "What makes you say that?"

She raised an eyebrow at me. "You haven't got the best poker face, baby. Plus, I work with her mom."

"We had an argument and aren't talking."

"I'm sure you'll sort things out," she said as she patted my hand.

I shook my head. "I don't think so. She was horrible, mom. She made Alice cry!"

"Okay, sweetie, I know she might have said some harsh things," I cut her off.

"Are you taking her side?"

She shook her head. "Not at all, Edward. You know I'll always take your side. But Bella has been through things that you nor your friends could ever imagine, and I think if you knew what she's going through then you'd understand."

I frowned. "Do you know what she's going through?"

"Yeah," she said with a nod. "Renee told me."

"What is it?"

She shook her head. "Sorry, sweetie; it's not my story to tell. Where is your father?" she asked, changing the subject. "The pancakes are getting cold." She got up and left the room looking for my dad.

Not long later, my dad and I left for school. We parked side-by-side and made our way to homeroom. When we got to class I made my way to where my friends were sitting while my dad walked to the back of the room and stood with the rest of the dad's.

Just before Mr James started speaking the door opened and we all looked up and saw Bella walk in.

"Ugh, stupid bitch," Rosalie muttered, earning a slap on the arm by Alice.

"Quick, Bella, sit down." She made her way to the back while he explained what was going to happen. "Okay," he said after he was sure that we all understood what was going to happen. "First up, Alice Brandon."

The hour passed quickly until he called Bella's name. We all turned to look at her, but she stayed sitting with her head resting against the table, as if she didn't hear him. Suddenly, she lifted her head and stood up, making her way towards the front.

"Where's her dad?" another student asked from the table in front of mine. The boy beside her commented that she didn't have one.

"Probably another deadbeat not wanting to give up his morning," Royce Hale said from the back, not even bothering to lower his voice.

Bella ignored the comments as she spoke to Mr James quietly and then turned to face us. She took a deep breath before opening her mouth.

"Um, my dad couldn't be here today. I just wanted to take these few minutes to tell you all about him. My dad was amazing; he taught me how to ride my bike, how to drive, how to throw a football that put half of the boys in my hometown to shame. He surprised me with flowers all the time and would take me for an ice cream after church on Sunday's." Rosalie rolled her eyes and huffed loudly, earning another slap from Alice.

"Shut up," Alice whispered to her. Rosalie rolled her eyes again before continuing to listen to Bella.

"You can't see my dad, but I'm never without him. Because he always told me, no matter where he was, he'd always be in my heart."

"Oh God," I whispered as I realized what Bella was telling us.

"I love my dad more than anything, and anyone in the world. He's my star; my hero. And I know he'd love to be here with us today but, heaven's just too far away," she told us softly as she started to cry.

Alice covered her mouth as tears rolled down her cheeks. Ever Rosalie sat up, listening to what Bella was saying with tears in her eyes.

"You see my dad was a soldier, who died on May eighteenth last year when a roadside bomb his hit convoy." Bella was sobbing now, and I wanted nothing more than to take her in my arms. "But, sometimes, when I close my eyes, it's like he never left me." Bella closed her eyes and Emmett discreetly wiped a tear from his cheek and sniffed. When she opened her eyes again, she looked at us all, her deep brown eyes gleaming with unshed tears. "He said he'd never leave me, but he did. And it's been a difficult year without him.

"But I've also realized how lucky I was to get to call him my dad for sixteen years. And I've never been prouder of him. Because he died for me, and for you. So that we didn't have to live in fear. Earlier I called my dad my hero, but he was more than that; he's America's hero. Thank you."

As she wiped away the tears on her face we all began to clap.

"Well, um, thank you Bella," Mr James said as he, discreetly, wiped his cheeks.

Bella asked if she could be excused and then ran out when Mr James nodded. It was silent for a few minutes before everyone began to talk at once about what Bella had just shared with us.

"Oh my God," Jasper whispered.

"Poor Bella," Rosalie said, wiping her tears.

Alice was deep in thought for a moment before she hit Jasper's arm.

"Ow, Allie."

"Sorry, I just had a thought. She said her dad died on May eighteenth."

Emmett answered, "Yeah, so?"

"That was the day that we had that argument. It was the anniversary of her dad's death."

So, now they know. It's not a long chapter but just a look into Edward's mind when he found out about Bella's dead.

I'm considering posting a new story called 13 and Counting, if anyone's interested in a Texas-Bella (yee-haw). And I may or may not be posting another Cali Girl chapter, if any of you read that, too.

Btw, you may have noticed I changed my name, too. I still love Twilight an Bella/Edward, but my new loves are Olicity (Oliver and Felicity) from Arrow, so I'm not syncrOLICITY. Anyone else love Arrow?
